A beautiful setting with a fabulous garden. Super dining room and brilliant breakfast - beautifully served with attention to detail and very tasty ! Welcoming hosts Comfortable bed attractively 'dressed'. An added excellent feature of somewhere to wash up refreshments- better than in bathroom bowl. Fresh milk and fridge also excellent.

The location was fine but as it is at the side of what can be a busy road with not perfect visability, then more prominent signage might help. The room was very comfortable, slightly dark but acceptable due to the historic nature of the building and its low ceiling. Bathroom could do with a little re-furb now. Perhaps a smaller bowl to give more space and better taps.

The hosts were fantastic - they seem like really lovely, genuine people. When we arrived in the evening, I told them my partner's birthday was the next day. At breakfast they gave him a small bag of chocolates (and one for me too) and a postcard that said 'Happy Birthday' which was an extra step they didn't have to take but was incredibly appreciated. Our room was cosy and comfortable and the gardens are beautiful. Breakfast was great too - cooked really nicely and our orders were correct and brought out quickly. My partner said the scrambled eggs were amazing. An overall great stay and I am very happy we chose to stay here.

The TV in the room was a little small and could've possibly been positioned better for watching from the bed, as the only time it was used was when we were in bed winding down for sleep. I also would have liked the glass for the fruit juice at breakfast to be slightly bigger, as I don't drink tea or coffee so had to go up for orange juice twice as the glass was very small!

I loved every detail of the property, the rustic look and feel of the place, how comfortable and at peace with the world I instantly felt when I arrived, and just how the tranquility of the beautiful garden was just amazing. The room is so cosy and the facilities were spot on, however the box filled with essentials gave me the wow factor which is a true example of what wonderful and thoughtful hosts Sharon and Paul are. The breakfast was very delicious.

The farmhouse is kept to such a high standard. It is delightful. The gardens are just beautiful and to be able to sit out in the garden with the family (and big dog!) was a real high point for us. There is a summer house/honesty bar in the garden, lovely to sit and play games with the young grandchildren. We only stayed one night as we were on our way to somewhere else - wish we'd have had more time at the farmhouse. Would definitely stay again if in that part of the country. Breakfast was plentiful and varied; cooked, cereals, fruit, yoghurts, etc.

My mum, my baby and I stayed at Steps Farmhouse this week for a night and had the most wonderful time. Steps was easy to find, had excellent parking facilities and checking in was extremely easy. We were greeted with a genuine smile and care and helped to our room by Paul who was wonderful. The room itself was beautifully clean and extremely comfortable. There were really thoughtful personal touches, such as a supply of frequently forgotten items like deodorant and sanitary items, which really cemented the fact that Paul and Sharon genuinely care about their guests. My baby was provided with a safe sleep space in the form of a Graco travel cot and slept the whole night through. The beds were so comfortable that I fell asleep as soon as my head touched the pillow! The grounds are so beautiful and there has clearly been a lot of time and effort put in to creating and maintaining such a stunning garden. Breakfast was so tasty and beautifully presented and we could choose exactly what we wanted the evening before for the cooked breakfast. Everything just felt like extremely good quality and so thoughtfully designed that we felt immediately at ease and were sad to leave!

There isn't anything not to like! Sharon & Paul are the perfect hosts. So welcoming & accommodating. They really would go out of their way to make your stay. Its clear to see that they really love what they do 😊 Location is perfect to hit all the local villages and coast line. The property itself is absolutely stunning set in beautiful 'typical' English counrty gardens. Our room was spotlessly clean with all the essentials (and more!) you could possibly want. Breakfast was delicious with a wide selection to account for any tastes & appetites. I would reccomend to anyone exploring this side of the county 🤍

Sharon & Paul are both extremely friendly and helpful, and we'd definitely recommend this place. This is of course an old farmhouse cottage B&B, with character and quirks, but is a delightful little gem. The rooms are nice and clean, and well presented with lovely little attention to detail that makes your stay very comfortable. Dog friendly too, which was a major plus for us, and location is perfect for easy access to the surrounding beauty spots. The Breakfast was one of the best I've had, in a lovely breakfast room, enjoyed with some very warm and enjoyable chats with our lovely hosts. Thank you Sharon & Paul - Lee & Jo

Breakfast was perfect, tailor made, with a full english of your choice, using a menu selection, plus all the possible extras. This included croissants, cereals, fruit, yogurts, toast, endless hot drinks and juices. Each table was spaciously set apart from other tables, to allow privacy and not feeling cramped. The breakfast room was warm and you were greeted by both Sharron and Paul. Well behaved dogs were welcomed, which was a massive bonus for us this weekend

Absolutely nothing, we loved the whole place. We were welcomed, offered to use the gardens, there is a bar in the little summerhouse, managed on trust. Seriously there was nothing not to like Thank you so much for your hospitality

Sharon and Paul made us feel so welcome, our lovely room had everything you could possibly need Great choice of continental and cooked English breakfast items. Even had a candle in my wife's breakfast croissant for her birthday!! Our bedroom, bathroom & breakfast room all immaculately clean. Sharon and Paul suggested the nearby White Horse Inn for an evening meal, which they booked for us, it's very popular with locals and visitors alike. We will be back to stay and explore more of this lovely area as soon as we can. We highly recommend Steps Farmhouse B&B.
