I stayed here a couple of weeks ago. Originally, I'd booked for 2 nights. At the time of booking I requested a room overlooking the church. Due to unforseen circumstances I had to change my booking to just one night. Due to me doing this, my room was changed to one not overlooking the church, but I wasn't informed of this at the time. When I arrived and was shown to my room, I was a bit disappointed. I stated that I'd booked a room facing the church. The staff were absolutely fantastic and so was the manager. They changed my room straight away and took me to a very beautiful room overlooking the church. The staff were so friendly the room was fresh and lovely and clean. I would highly recommend this place 😁

Very nice bar/hotel , the room had a big king size bed, and it was very comfortable. Nice bathroom with great water pressure for the shower , and always plenty of hot water . A lovely balcony to sit out on with a glass of wine , looking out over the church opposite and watching the sunset . Lovely bar area , with plenty of tables and a big beer garden . The food was very nice , proper pub grub with large portions , and the breakfasts were a feast . On the second and third morning I had to go for the smaller breakfast, as the large one was too much to handle . Would highly recommend a stay at The Windmill , only just been taken over by 2 brothers , 2 months ago , and they’re doing a great job .

The food was lovely, the staff were very friendly/efficient, the view from the room was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely rebook.
We booked a 'king room' and noticed the bed was two singles pushed together which was a bit uncomfortable but we fully appreciate the need so the room can we turned into single accommodation when the need arises. There were quite a few spiders/cobwebs on the balcony and a few in the room. There were a few things within the room that need attending to; one of the blinds were broken on arrival and one of the clothes pegs near the door.

The restaurant was very good. Interesting choices and I found options I could eat even though I am on a restricted diet. Great view out of the restaurant windows, which we did not appreciate until breakfast time as it had been dark at dinner. Breakfast was super tasty and a great treat. The staff were very helpful and I was grateful they were flexible given I had managed to make a mistake with my booking. Lovely room with comfy bed, Would definitely recommend and would stay there and eat there again if we were in the area.

Room was bright, well designed, well appointed, great position for our purposes and reasonable price. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Good, but not a wide, choice of gf options for dinner, including desserts (often neglected).
Disappointed that no sausages or gf bread were available for breakfast, but there were plenty of gf rolls available instead, and the items that WERE available were nice, and the staff did all they could to make sure we were happy. The mattress in the room was a bit creaky - might be near replacement time.

On arrival the booking in process was easy with the member of staff really friendly but also professional. The room was amazing, loved the balcony with a fabulous view. Breakfast the following morning was good, plenty of options to choose from on the menu. Again staff were helpful and friendly a credit to the business.
Found the bed a little hard but that's just my preference. The size of it was fabulous.

Staff were friendly and nice. Breakfast was limited, but had most basics. I had a delicious eggs on toast, and very nice coffee. There were cereals, jam and extra toast, too. No avocado or yoghurts. Bed was comfortable, room tea and coffee, the fantastic shower pressure!...room was nice. Very handy to have a restaurant on site.
No safety bars/handles on the lovely shower, bit unsafe for those not able to stand well in a slippery area. Not a great tv channel choice, remote control bit dirty.

Staff were lovely, the room was good and comfortable and secure. Breakfast was cooked to suit me and was very good. The view from the room was great, looking over parkland to the church opposite.
The door to the rooms is approached up steep steps, which made carrying my luggage difficult. There is another way in, but it is much further to walk. My room was facing the road, and that is surprisingly busy. The sound of passing traffic woke me a couple of times.

Chef cooked an excellent breakfast....everything was just perfect. Food was very good especially the roast dinner...Real ale was available. Deer watched us eat dinner! Lovely big room and bed, great shower. Very good to sit on the balcony and look at the lovely view down to the estuary. From the Inn were very picturesque walks...we liked the walk up to the trig point above the trees where you could see for miles..lots of sheep sharing the tracks with us and we’re sure a cookoo was calling....you could return to the Inn in a circle. Short drive from the Inn car park to several seaside places, near to the town for shopping, loads of pubs and cafes and a harbour at Watchet...
Maybe more of a choice of real ales. Bus service was rather infrequent.
