A fantastic hotel surrounded by beautiful scenery. Our steading room was dog friendly and a perfect size for two adults plus the dog. The food was amazing! The venison blade I had for supper was unbelievable! Breakfast in the morning was also delicious. The hotel is perfectly situated for going on lots of hikes. There were plenty of water bowls dotted about for dogs to have a drink and also poo bins which I thought was really helpful.

The steading is the place to book for taking a four-legged friend with you and this is not a criticism but it would have been good if you could perhaps pay £10 extra and the hotel would supply two dog bowls, blanket/bed and maybe a doggy treat for the room. It would've made it extra special and meant we didn't have to take his bed with us.

the food was a HUGE disappointment. Generic cash n carry menu with no character, no relation to the local surroundings or produce or cuisine, massively overpriced and very short hours for evening service. Breakfast was better.

Was looking for something a bit off the beaten track, but still relatively accessible by car. Like the fact that Glen Clova area is not over developed. The hotel manager was very attentive and always present to help and answer any queries.

No significant issues. The hotel bar and restaurant can close earlier in the evening in periods of lower guest volumes, but that's to be expected given staff rural location.

Amazing setting. Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Food was delicious and great value with mix of contemporary and traditional. Room was clean, modern and comfortable and the views were fantastic. Other guests were friendly as well. Highly recommend a stay here.

A paved path from car park to lodge would make getting wheeled bag to room easier.

Excellent bar. Shout out to Mhairie who was a pleasure to deal with. Out interest was the location as great scenery for hiking.

Waitress at dinner seemed keen to move us along in our meal - removing plates whilst other people were still eating, and asking about dessert while others were eating (American style!).

Wonderful location although hard to get there. Very clean and big rooms, amazing stuff.

There is no mobile coverage and the wifi is terrible or at least we could not get connected for too long to it. The reception staff told us that it was because they were fully booked. Also, we couldn't make it to dinner because the kitchen closed at 7 p.m.

Wonderful lodge in a remote location. The perfect start to a 16 day tour of Scotland. Hiking the Glen Clova area to Airlie tower, Castle Clova, and Glen Doll was the perfect way to adjust to the time change. Their restaurant staff are to notch.

Everything was fantastic, but I wish the bedding had a top sheet.

The service was excellent, very attentive staff and the location is fantastic.

The room was clean and the shower comfortable, the only negative was the room being snug to say the least, felt quite cramped and the entrance to the Steadings building smelled musty.

Glen Clova is a hill walkers paradise of a hotel. Set amongst the hills and it’s totally beautiful! We’ve been here a few times, the staff are unbelievably friendly. The food is great and what’s better than a glass of something after climbing a few hills!

The hotel is in a fabulous location and has been modernised to a high standard since we last stayed. Comfortable room, good food and friendly staff made for a very enjoyable stay. The weather was tremendous and we enjoyed being able to go hillwalking from the hotel. Breakfast was good and made fresh to order.
