Lovely hotel that exceeded our expectations! We were just passing through for a night, though we'll definitely visit again! The extra large bed was a beautiful unexpected addition (particularly for my very tall hubby), and the very well stocked coffee/tea/biscuit bar was lovely - particularly enjoyed the mini fridge with milk and water! Everything was carefully thought about - dressing gowns in clothes protectors, hairdryers, cotton buds, tissues, etc. The room was lovely and toasty - and absolutely loved the mirror radiator! Room was well soundproofed despite overlooking the road. Kelly was so friendly, as were the other staff members who looked after us in the lounge bar with its inviting fireplace. Thank you!

Nothing. We didn't have breakfast or food, so can't comment on that.

Good honest family run small hotel that serves excellent food. Comfortable spacious room and nice shower room that was clean. The bar was a friendly place to sit with the locals and tourists serving good selection of drinks and coffee. Nice restaurant to sit and have a meal or sit in the bar area. Prices were very reasonable during difficult times and served nice wines. The menu was excellent and changed daily. Staff were helpful and friendly . Was on a walking couple of days and would definitely go back

Couldn't find really anything negative to say for the price that we paid for our stay as I thought it was good value for money

This was an all round excellent experience. We were travelling through and just wanted somewhere clean and comfortable for the night. The room was spacious and clean, the bed large and comfortable. The bathroom facilities were great. We had dinner and breakfast, both were excellent and the service was fantastic throughout. I wish the owners every success as they are clearly making a great effort to make this a very welcoming place.

I cannot think of any improvements.

The breakfast was excellent and the evening meals we had in the restaurant were also very good The service was also very good. And the bed was very comfortable.

Our main complaint was the there was nowhere to stow our things from our suitcases - no drawers or wardrobe. There was only a clothes rack on which to hang coats, trousers etc. Otherwise we had to leave some things in our suitcases and spread things like T-shirts over the sofa. That is maybe ok for overnight customers but we were there four nights and it would been nice to be able to stow our things away.

The staff were so genuine and helpful. I booked in at the last minute on a Friday night and was made to feel very welcome. Lovely curry for dinner. Great menu choices. Reasonably priced drinks. Large comfy bed, slept very well. Mini fridge in room with fresh milk provided. Good breakfast choice at a reasonable price. I was travelling alone and felt safe and happy. Would definitely return .

Cannot find fault.

Lovely breakfast but the only thing hot was the sausage, but still very good value.staff very pleasant, asked if we would like more tea, coffee or toast.

Cheese nachos only had ridiculous small amount of cheese which was cooked to much. All other foods coming out looked amazing.

Lovely inn, very friendly staff and easy access to the river and nearby walks. I stayed for 2 days and really enjoyed discovering the local history which is very much linked with the river Ericht. Rattray and Blairgowrie are pretty much one place, and it was a cracking area to visit. There is a great little bookshop in the square. The Old Cross Inn has lovely rooms just upstairs and the restaurant and bar downstairs have a friendly, easy-going atmosphere. Great stay !

The location was fine for a one-night stopover. easy walking distance to Blairgowrie town centre. We had a fantastic meal in the bar. We were the only ones at breakfast which was served in the bar and was great. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and check-in/out easy.

I can't think of anything which we didn't like!

Very nice looking building on the outside and even nicer on the inside. Staff were really friendly and polite and had a good laugh and a joke with us when we sitting down to dinner at night in the restaurant steered us to the best things to have on the menu. Food was fantastic not a fault could be found in it dinner and breakfast both excellent complements to the chefs.

There was hardly anything to fault with the Inn and restaurant great place.
