I loved everything about it! I've genuinely never ever stayed anywhere where I've not wanted to leave except the tigh na leigh. Hidden gem of a place, it exceeded my expextations by far. House is just beautiful, wonderfully decorated and i loved how the art work was personal, wasnt just any old picture it had heart - made it feel like a home. Our suite was lovely, i came away feeling inspired by the colour scheme. The gardens were well kept and was a wonderful walk round. We left alyth for tea so returned back late, but were able to let ourselves back in and loved the concept of the honest bar. Breakfast was amazing, plenty of choice and Graham made some great hiking suggestions just before we were due to leave. 10/10. I would 100% go back but stay for at least 2 nights. .

That we only stayed 1 night

We booked quite last minute so were happy that this place had availability! The photos don't do the place justice - it has been so tastefully done up and is very... Instagram friendly haha! Our room was huge, and oh so comfortable - the mattress was like a giant cloud! I'm a very fussy sleeper, so this ticked all the boxes. As did the spa bath! A lovely window seat overlooking the garden made for a glorious reading spot. The owners were lovely and friendly - breakfast was delicious, and the breakfast room overlooked the church and garden which was lovely. Will definitely come to stay again! The only downside is Tigh Na Leigh is closed over winter, as I could just imagine how charming this place must be in the snow with a roaring fireplace, but the owners are well entitled to a good rest after a busy tourist period!

Absolutely nothing - wish we had more time to spend to enjoy the lovely lounges and the garden (weather was not the greatest, typical Scotland!)

Graham gave me a very warm welcome. He told me a bit about the interesting history of the house and showed me around. There are 2 lounge areas to sit and a beautiful garden. The complete house is designed room by room very individual and with great taste by the owners. I also got some good tips for beautiful walks and a place for a superb dinner. Breakfast was great and you have quite a variety to choose from. Big thanks to Karen for a delicious breakfast! Sourdough and avocado is definitely a great choice! An amazing guest house with wonderful hosts and highly reccomended to stay if you are travelling the area. Sorry I only had one night, but there will be a next time.

Nothing at all

This is our second stay with Karen and Graeme in their stunning guest house which thoroughly deserves its 5* rating. We were immediately welcomed by Graeme and taken to a beautiful attic room . The attention to detail everywhere is a testament to the hosts style and love of what they do. The property is absolutely full of beautiful paintings and art work in every room collected in their extensive travels . We were late checking in and Graeme kindly booked us a table at the lands of lion hotel for food which was above and beyond expectation. The breakfast menu is full of lovely choices from muesli and porridge to a full Scottish or sourdough and avocado. Karen makes everything from scratch and cooked to order and her home made raspberry and redcurrant jam is delicious. On our departure Graeme suggested a lovely scenic route home and gave us a map with lots of points of interest. They are both such wonderful hosts and I would most definitely return on my next visit to Perthshire.

Absolutely nothing apart from it’s so far away from Glasgow!!

The house is beautiful, one of the best I've ever been in. Every detail is taken care of with unbelievable attention. As soon as you'll see it, you'll fall in live with it. Tigh Na Leigh is located in the pretty and peaceful Alyth, which is lovely to explore and a great starting point for visiting both the Highlands and Dundee. I asked Karen to book a restaurant for me on the night of my arrival and she's been so kind to get me a table at the superbe Land of the Loyal Hotel, which is pleasantly reachable through a 10 minutes walk across Alyth. A perfect night to start! What can I say about the kindess of Karen and Graham? They are wonderful people, so very thoughtful towards their guests and good at managing the House. You can live freely the beautiful common rooms they have and the amazing garden (with beautiful chickens in it!) and have an amazing breakfast with quality products coming either from their garden or the local community. They also serve dinner on certain days, the menu varying in every occasion. I'd suggest to try that as well. Also, ask Graham advices for exploring the sorroundings or just for better planning your itinerary: he's a real expert of the territory and has made me a presonalised itinerary that only an attentive local could have known, giving me the opportunity to see beautiful places. What else to say? You must try this beautiful and relaxing experience!

Breakfast was delicious with home made granola, and bread with lovely home made jam. The full scottish breakfast was superb. The conservatory was a beautiful place to eat and to view the gorgeous well kept garden (to which guests have access). The house has been beautifully furnished and much thought has been given to the interesting art. The hosts go absolutely above and beyond to make their guests comfortable and nothing was too much trouble, even down to the variety of gins in the honesty bar! Would definitely recommend.

Found it a bit challenging to open the window. Other than that there is no complaint as it is a very pleasing environment with great visual appeal.

The property is stunning, as are the hosts. All is done at the highest standards; food offered, facilities, room. The people running this business are some of the friendliest and most helpful people we met in our travels. They really went above and beyond to make us and Nigel (our greyhound) feel at home. Breakfast and dinner was excellent and my vegan partner was properly accommodated. The room was huge and furnished to make anyone staying there feel comfortable. HIGHLY recommend.

Not much really, but if I had to nitpick, the dog friendly room is on the top floor after a very narrow staircase which some dogs (and humans) may find difficult to navigate. All is forgiven considering the quality of the room and as I said this is just nitpicking.

This beautiful Hotel is just WOW! A labour of love with excusite finishings and decor. We had the Four Poster Bed Room and it was beautiful. The room was decorated to a very high standard with coffee machine, big screen TV and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was very clean and the water pressure for the shower spot on. The hosts are very helpful and informative. Thanks to them we took a different scenic route on our travels and saw some amazing sights. The breakfast was delicious and we loved the personal touches with tiny Easter Chocolates. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

An absolute oasis on the Cateran Trail. We had planned to wild camp all the way but the temperature dropped so much we needed to find accommodation for the night. What an unexpected find and incredible treat, without breaking the bank. Tigh Na Leigh is just lovely as are hosts Karen and Graham. The accommodation, garden and food are all exceptional and the welcome so warm and friendly, it was like staying with family. We will be recommending the Cateran Trail and this property to all our friends and family.

Fabulous house , hosts and hospitality . This was a much needed 2 nights away and it exceeded our expectations . Usually the quality of places to stay with your 4 legged family member is compromised. but not here. Graham provided lots of info for local walks / places to eat as well as just being an interested / interesting person to chat with. Only had breakfast as it was a mid week break but Karen’s French Toast is recommended !
