The staff were friendly and the food was simple, good and tasty.

Whilst staff were friendly, the service was poor, mainly due to poor communication problems, e.g. one of our starters did not arrive, but was later delivered, as a side to our main course. Also the breakfast was VERY Limited, only being able to choose ONE dish, i.e. not a cereal, or fruit or something cooked as individual courses, which is usual breakfast choices.

We had a very pleasant short stay while attending a nearby event. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. There was a window seat with a far-reaching view of the countryside. The hospitality tray included homemade biscuits, ground coffee with a cafetiere, black and green teas, hot chocolate and mineral water. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was good too.

You can get a nice English breakfast anywhere in the Cotswolds, but this is just a notch better than the usual, i.e. with fresh avocados, rather than canned ones. They are also a true Gastropub with friendly and competent service. We had a gourmet dinner with excellent menu choices, and they had no problems accommodating a table of seven in a timely manner. Centrally located in the Cotswolds with a perfect view over the landscape in the front rooms and a quiet garden in the back. All rooms (we rented all 5 of the rooms) with all the comforts and amenities you might want and impeccably clean. Plenty of parking!

Breakfast was good and the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly.

The lighting in the bedroom and bathroom were a little dark. Not ideal for getting changed in the bedroom or for shaving in the bathroom . There was also no bathroom mat which made the floor slippery after a shower as the shower screen needed to come further along the bath . Some extra floor standing lamps and brighter bulbs in the ceiling lights would certainly improve the room.

Ideal location, we were attending a wedding nearby at Lapstone Barn, Chipping Norton. We were the only couple staying that evening, extremely peaceful Clean and tidy room with an amazing view from our window Comfy bed Delicious breakfast Full compliments to all staff The restaurant is closed Mondays and Tuesdays for food however we were at the wedding so it didn't make any difference to us.

The food was amazing. The location was amazing. Great Room decor and furnishings. Very clean. Good service. One to watch as the owners have developed the garden and put in pizza oven and if anything like the steak, and salmon we had the pizzas will be lush. Local walks and attractions are ace pretty Cotswolds village

Slight noise of extractor fan in the kitchen below our room from 4 when we arrived to around 10 am and started again at 7.30m - hubby just turned TV up but I'm a bit noise sensitive. Mentioned it when we checked out and the chap on the desk looked confused I think they need to go up and listen when the fan is on, maybe that room should be a little less than £130 if this noise is always there ?

Full English breakfast was well prepared, and all other options available. Very relaxed and enjoyable. The location was truly high on the hill giving excellent views over the Cotswolds. The gardens were laid out on grass with comfortable seating, tables and sun shades at which to have drink, relax and take in the views. All in all a great place to stay.

Traffic from the main road could be a little noisy at peak times though that dropped off quickly and the place returned to the typical idyllic Cotswold village atmosphere.

A lovely building of character although carpets and decor were rather tired especially in communal areas. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming with very friendly staff. Not a huge choice of food for non-meat eaters but we were able to make a very enjoyable meal out of that on offer. Plenty of parking. Decent value for money.

The breakfast was excellent, beautifully cooked and substantial. The room was large and well equipped. Lots of nice little touches. the staff were professional and cheerful, very helpful. Our bags has been taken up to our room and we were shown to our room, many other places we were left to struggle on our own .The beer garden was amazing with great views

Beautifully styled room with lots of character. The room accommodated my pooch so well ie dog bed, snacks (which were refilled when the room was cleaned). It was a truly dog friendly experience rather than dog tolerant and high I've experienced at other hotels. Location was great and the pub food was excellent.
