The location is excellent as it’s on Moreton-in Marsh’s beautiful high street . For breakfast we had a printed menu, which had a full range of options. The service was friendly and prompt and the food very nice. One nice touch was a cafetière in our bedroom along with small pretty coffee cups and saucers. That was, of course, along with the usual tea and coffee making equipment.

The service was friendly an first class, as was the food. The location, mid town was perfect for me.

Wifi was slow.

I liked it being quite old and individual with character. My room was lovely with a well furnished modern bathroom and a big comfy four poster bed.

Can’t say there was anything I didn’t like

Gorgeous 18th century inn with loads of character in great location. Excellent room with little noise from traffic outside, free water and biscuits every day, superb breakfast and outstandingly helpful staff, especially Will who carried my heavy suitcase down the narrow stairs for me and Sarah who gave me a lift to the station. A lovely place, I'd love to stay there again.

The window blind was very thin, and I was awakened at 6am or earlier every morning by the morning sun shining through the blind. The bathroom is small and rather poky, but I accept that as a consequence of staying in an 18th century inn!

Location is excellent. Bus stop is just opposite the hotel. Bus service No. 801 goes to Swot-on-the Wold and also Bourton-on-the- Water. There is also Bus service No. 2 to Stratford upon Avon. Room is clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good. Hotel restaurant serves excellent food! Its pub is also well equipped and entertaining.

Hot water pressure in the bathroom can be better. But this is understandable for the hotel building is old. Noted that all the hotels along the high street of Moreton-in-Marsh are just as old as they are all built in the same period.

The pub/hotel is on the High Street, a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants and other pubs in Moreton-in-Marsh. We had a four-poster double room (no.3) on the first floor. Although quite compact, it had almost everything needed for our one-night stay. The bed was very comfortable, although a bit high for me (I'm only 5' tall). A fan and oil heater were provided and we used the latter to take the chill off the room. The double-glazing was very efficient so the room was quiet even though it overlooked a busy road. The shower room was huge, with a powerful shower, lots of hot water, fluffy towels and a bathrobe. There was a kettle with tea etc and biscuits. There were enough sockets for our chargers. The breakfast choice was extensive and the food really excellent (best cheese omelette I have had in years; my husband's full veggie breakfast was also good). There is a small car park, although there is free parking on the high street anyway. The pub/hotel garden looked pretty, but it was raining, so we didn't try it.

We had no idea how to work the Nespresso coffee machine. We finally got the lid open, but the capsules supplied didn't match the size of the holder inside, so we didn't risk it in case it flooded. It was a quiet Thursday night, so the pub restaurant's last orders were 7.45pm, too early for us, although the choice looked good. There were other places in town to eat, some of which opened until 10pm. There was only one ceiling light, so even with bedside lights, it was a bit dark, but as we weren't there long, it wasn't too much of a problem. The bathroom lighting was good and bright. Oh and I kept forgetting there was a step just inside the door, but the bed was suitably positioned to break my stumble!

Very kind and attentive owner, very helpful, super convenient location

Surprisingly loud street noise from passing trucks that physically shake the building, loud music from pub when we were jet lagged and trying to sleep at 10pm..

The room was nicely decorated although too dark for my personal taste, loved the oversize towels Breakfast was lovely and the staff friendly, it was ideally located for the place we were attending for a wedding nearby

The room was very dark (we were in No 1) and only one window opened with secondary double glazing so it was also very stuffy. Shower room was adequate but a light switch would have been nice rather than an auto-detect fan and light which took a while to switch off so you didn't feel you could use the toilet during the night without listening to the fan and seeing the light on. Just a minor preference. Also I think people don't design rooms around women needing a light for their makeup. put a light near the dressing table.

Cooked breakfast and friendly staff both at the bar and owners welcoming first thing in the morning. Plus they serve an early cooked breakfast with beautifully yellow scrambled eggs if you need to be somewhere first thing. Bathroom modern and ok sized. Handy location for the town and competitively priced for area. Parking outside at rear although limited was useful for us and we were fortunate in that respect.

Not used to secondary glazing but that's due to age of the beautiful building and necessary as it's on corner of two major roads through the town.

This is a traditional pub with rooms, located in the centre of the Cotswold town of Morton in Marsh. My room was comfortable and had a four poster bed. The menu was traditional but the quality was great and the portions were generous. Breakfast was superb setting me up for a day exploring the Cotswolds. The owners and staff were all welcoming and extremely helpful.

Please be aware that this is an old pub and the stairs to the bedrooms are steep. It was not an issue for me but those with mobility issues need to consider this.
