Breakfast and the location, exceptional. A less normal choice of options with a freshly homemade and very tasty breakfast. The location was perfect, RIGHT in the centre of town, with ample free parking (not linked with the accommodation) around.

The owners, were polite, kind and welcoming. One major flaw that made me mark “staff” down: Our room was adjacent to the staff room (a door marked private). At around 8am, this door next to us was inconsiderately slammed with constant banging and noise in that room for around an hour. It was just really unnecessary and as if they were unaware of our presence. Minus that though, honestly, everything else was perfect.

The breakfast was exceptional. Best high end breakfast food in the area. Everything was fresh and prepared beautifully. You could tell the staff cared deeply about the food and it's presentation. The room was more spacious than we expected, and the decor gave a classic feel that fit the village, but with a modern twist. We felt well taken care of and very safe at this hotel.

The bathtub did have some residue that was not visible to the eye. Upon feeling the side of the tub (before use) I felt some grime on the waterline of the previous user. I had to clean out the tub myself before using it. This was the only downside of the whole stay. Everything else was very clean.

The property is perfectly located above a little cafe also owned by the property. Clifton and his staff were amazing and there are only 4 rooms which make it quite intimate. Breakfast was made to order from delicious ingredients and had options for eggs and warm items. We were pleasantly surprised by all of it. It was decorated smartly and comfortable as well. We booked two rooms and both had large bathrooms as well.

Really can’t complain about anything. You should be aware that there are little stairs to get up to the room on the top floor in addition to the stairs to arrive at the first floor rooms. Anyone who can’t handle stairs should be aware of this.

We had a great stay at Davenford Stow gardens: perfect location, comfortable bed, big bathroom with good shower. Best of all was the breakfast: we asked for a vegan breakfast and were very well catered for. We got tasty sourdough bread, fresh veggies and salad, nut butter, delicious vegan cheese (smoky!), baked beans upon request, fresh fruit salad and so on. Portions were huge. As vegans, we have never been this well taken care of!

Nothing!

Fabulous b & b in the beautiful town of Stow in the Wold. I enjoyed my overnight stay. Staf very friendly, the whole place was exceptionally clean. The bedroom was large, the bed & pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was huge & the shower had good pressure. Breakfast in the morning was great. I would highly recommend this establishment for a short or long stay in the cotswolds.

This is not a negative comment, but some apps on the tv would be nice, otherwise everything about this place was great.

Lovely large room and bathroom. Very comfortable King size bed. Very friendly helpful staff. Very tasty breakfasts. Great location for visiting the Cotswolds.

The street outside our room was rather noisy, even at night. We would have liked our room to be serviced after 2 nights, but as we didn't request it (being British!) it wasn't. We did mention this at the end of our stay and the manager said they would do it for customers in the future.

Excellent breakfasts based on sourdough toasts, from their menu for all visitors. Very friendly and professional staff. Central location, completely different from a large hotel environment, and all the better for it. Thoroughly recommended. We had the King room over the butcher's shop, a large comfortable bedroom, and an adjacent en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bath. An old building, and very enjoyable.

Everything was fine

The location was perfect, right in the centre of Stow on the Wold and walking distance to everything in the village. The breakfast was great and the food available throughout the day in the cafe was wonderful.

Parking was a bit more difficult but we managed to get free parking with just a short walk. The narrow stairs, especially with large bags were challenging but staff were happy to help. The low ceilings did result in a few banged heads.

The choice of breakfast was limited but that was fine for us but perhaps wouldn't be if you wanted a full English. The staff were lovely and welcoming and our room was very comfortable. The location was good with plenty of places to eat locally.

The only negative was that our room was at the rear of the property and we could hear the noise from the refrigeration of the adjacent premises. It wasn't a major issue but if you are sensitive to noise it may disturb you.
