Easy to find. Two car parks at the back of the building on the flat We stayed in The potting Shed a lovely room in the garden part of the property. Ground flood. Small lobby containing the clothes hanging area and a lovely big comfy chair. The main room has a king size bed. Very comfortable with good pillows and lots of scatter cushions. Tea and coffee making facilities with the addition of a coffee machine (nice touch) hot chocolate and good biscuits. There is a large walk in shower with nice big towels. There is a deep step up to the bathroom and could cause problems if you find stairs difficult Breakfast is in the main building with table service. Good choice but could do with some fresh fruit We had Sunday lunch - fabulous And dinner one evening- fabulous The staff are so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble T We absolutely intend to visit again!here is a beautiful garden right outside, very secluded

The tv could do with being mounted on the other wall as it is very difficult to see at the present angle

Beautiful old hotel in great location. Evening meals were excellent. Room was spacious, clean & nicely decorated. Parking at rear of hotel a real bonus.

Breakfast was included and we were looking forward to a Full English breakfast. This is available but obviously a different chef from evening meals. Everything was overcooked and served without any care. Avoid scrambled eggs! Breakfast on the whole was a disappointment. Staff in the restaurant were not particularly attentive or friendly. Male staff in the bar were brilliant but female staff in the restaurant really just didn’t seem to care. Hallways leading to rooms are very musty and not to the standard of the rooms.

The Hotel is really well located right in the centre of town. The staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly. The bedroom was clean and tidy (and a fan was supplied). The shower gel, and hand lotion etc were good. The towels were really soft and fluffy. The food was FABULOUS, breakfast was absolutely delicious, (and we stayed to eat at night and the quality and flavours of the food were a delight). The bar was welcoming, and the Hot Chocolate was delicious. We managed to park in the car park, so parking was free. The outside seating (on the grass) was great, and it was not at all noisy, the bed was really comfy and we slept well.

Well, the room was tiny. There were no hooks ANYWHERE in the room (Buck) to hang clothes, or the bathroom to hang a towel, no bath mat was supplied (and the shower was a little slippy). Only 3 x coat hangers on a pole behind the door, so nowhere to put your clothes. The water pressure was none existent, so the wait for the "dribbling" shower to warm up was 5 mins. (The cold tap span around too).

The property is in a perfect location and has all the character you’d expect from a central hotel in Stow. The food is excellent and most of the staff were very friendly. I had a small double room, and small is indeed the word, but it was perfectly comfortable, and the fridge on the landing for fresh milk and cold water is a great idea.

The bathrooms let down otherwise good rooms. The shower pressure is almost non-existent; I really struggled to rinse properly. Also, there isn’t so much as a shelf in there to put your shampoo and shower gel, meaning you have to bend down to pick it up off the floor. That wasn’t too bad for me, but was a major problem for my 72 year-old mother who has had two hip and one knee replacements. I don’t expect a 14th Century character property to be fully accessible, but a simple bathroom shelf would be very easy to install.

Fab location and managed to park for free just outside the premises. Dinner and breakfast was lovely and very tasty. Service was excellent. Old building, so very quaint inside. Nice touch having extra water & milk in fridge in corridor. Decorated to a high standard and everything we needed was in the room. Friendly staff and enough staff on duty to accommodate everyone and very attentative.

Dripping noise outside due to the rain, looks like the rain was dripping onto something which made it noisier but can't be helped as the windows are old in keeping with the building.

location was very good.

We stayed the Roe room. Very high and hard bed. No carpets in room. floorboards very uneven. steps up into bathroom, bit dodgy I you are up in the night. overlooked by people accessing the rear entrance. tea/coffee & kettle in room but no milk ??? large dining area but given a time to go for breakfast??? Had to ask for cereals rather than on display. Full English didn’t include hash browns & beans but if you asked, you could have them. When we enquired about car parking, we were abruptly told to check our e mails, which we never received so had to ask another member of staff who was willing to help. Wouldn’t book again out of choice. lot of money for a basic b&b

Our room was immaculately clean, aired, and everything worked, Bed was comfy and the room's facilities were spot on. Everything we needed for a good night's sleep. Highly recommend.

The breakfast was fine, but the staff seemed to be run off their feet and it was tricky to get their attention for a second drink or some toast etc... so it wasn't a relaxing experience, but nevertheless the food was good.

The Stag is a great dog friendly location with great staff and exceptional food. We had a warm welcome and were showed to our room by a loverly chap (I'm ashamed to say I didn't get his name) we booked in for dinner with the food quality being exceptional. The next morning the service and food was agian exceptional and we left having a fantastic stay. We will be returning.

The ONLY thing I can 'complain' about is we had no milk with the tea/coffee in the room. A quick run down stairs and it was sorted.

The stag is in a great location and the room we stayed which was number 9 was comfortable and clean

Although you can see they have made an effort to make it more contemporary with the colours and the style of furniture.. it just feels an unloved property🥲 we know it’s an old property but it needs a freshen up with paint, the windows in number 9 were in a poor state. The rugs in the breakfast area have seen better days and extremely dirty.

It was a beautiful period property we had the privilege of staying in the older part of the pub. The original features like the windows gave it the cottage appeal that went with the beautiful location it was in. I believe it has been there for over 200 years. . The bar staff were very welcoming Jasper and his Sister were very lovely. We felt at home and thus was definitely down to them both. So a big thank you for that as it made the birthday visit memorable and fun.

Na was happy with everything
