Quiet rooms, no noise, helpful staff. Pleasant setting. Close to the venue for my daughter's wedding. Close to my daughter's house. Lovely relaxed breakfast. Fast check in and check out. Very clean and well presented. Special touches like dressing gowns and slippers.

No Weetabix for breakfast. Having to book breakfast the day before to get a cheaper rate. Coffee cups overflowed when you filled them by the machine and left no room for milk even when you pressed the stop button. Taller mugs needed. Lack of enough disabled parking bays at busy times. The shower leaked under the glass and the accessible shower chair only fits in backwards so you cannot reach the taps and when you sit down you can move the lever accidentally and turn the hot water up and scold yourself or turn it to cold and get a cold shower. No accessible plug next to the bed. I have a CPAP machine for medical reasons and had to trail the wire across the room which was a trip hazard in the night.. dressing gown too small for a larger person.

We use this hotel regularly for trips to see family; this time was sadly for a family funeral. Rooms, staff , location excellent. Only issues we had during this trip were people parking in the disabled bays without a disabled blue badge which was frustrating as we required one of these and had to park elsewhere in the car park for one night of our stay. The other issue was during breakfast the coffee machine was broke and only instant coffee available, also they ran out of beans (a staple for the English breakfast). Despite these issues, we would still come again and stay here, especially as I myself have been coming here since in opened in 1987! Staff very friendly and helpful thank you :)

This is the 2nd time we have visited Novotel West Manchester and we are delighted to know we have certainly found our 'go to' hotel after a number of years staying in various hotels in the area whilst visiting family. A special thank you to Grace who is absolute asset, she is so friendly and helpful and also to Neil and Ras who helped our little boy with the treasure hunt for the animal pictures around the hotel through the APP. We really enjoy staying at the hotel and the atmosphere in the bar area in the evenings is always so chilled. Look forward to the next visit.

The room was spacious, staff very nice, you get free parking if you are a guest, they let us park the car before check in and let us check in early as room was ready. Location was quiet, room was quiet shower was pretty good. Bar was good, didn't eat in restaurant but it smelt amazing. Even had a little gym. Location of the hotel was far from Manchester but we knew that, took a bus (nr35) which took 50 mins to get to Manchester because of the many stops and the bus stop was 1 min away on the other side of the road. Worsley was very interesting place, medieval style, had a few pubs to eat etc.

Bit far to Manchester so for this reason only I'd book somewhere else next time.

Very clean and friendly hotel with plenty of parking. Our standard room was relatively spacious and well appointed. The large sofa was good for relaxing at the end of a busy day. Overall breakfast was good value and plentiful and it set us up for the day. Good choice of teas and even fresh root ginger for ginger tea. The hotel is an easy to find, ideal base for visiting RHS Bridgewater and exploring the Bridgewater Canal.

Lighting levels were rather low for reading at night on the settee in our room. Rather a limited choice of coffees from the restaurant machine at breakfast time.

Great location, plenty of parking, really good breakfast, friendly staff, children's play area outside. Lots of effort to be more sustainable (recycling points, water refill station, efforts to reduce food waste, option to decline room clean, car charging point - but unfortunately this wasn't working, see below)

Room was v warm (we tried to reduce temp on thermostat but it seemed to go back up automatically). Electric car charger wasn't working. Staff not able to tell us if they would be serving food on the sat evening (as a wedding was on) - we didn't mind if they weren't, but would have been good to know in advance.

We were travelling overnight and needed somewhere it was no hassle to check in after midnight. I've used this hotel before for that very reason, so was ideal.

Like most hotels, breakfast is overpriced so just opted not to go elsewhere.

Easy check-in. Pleasant staff. Very clean. Good breakfast after waiting for some items to be replenished. Great parking but remember to enter your reg.on arrival or you'll be fined. Lovely garden area with play equipment for kids.

Price a little expensive for size of room compared to other hotels nearby. Bed uncomfortable, too firm. Cold at night in room, duvet a bit light weight. No instructions for heating. Chairs very low in bar area. Tables at breakfast not cleared fast enough, had to find cutlery as none on some tables. Food took too long to be replenished.

A well presented hotel. Communal areas were modern and staff were helpful and attentive. We attended a wedding and the catering staff and waiting on staff were really lovely and accommodating.

We booked a room with a sofa bed and found when we set up the sofa bed that the quilt didn’t have any cover on so my children had to sleep with a cheap polyester quilt itching them all night. I looked around the room to see if a duvet cover had been supplied but couldn’t find it anywhere. I was going to ring reception but it was 2am when we were getting into bed after the wedding and we were so tired.

We've stayed at this hotel several times over the last 3 years, when we've been over from Australia visiting family who live nearby. We always book this hotel because of the friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, location and great value for money. We always enjoy having a drink in the foyer bar after a day/night out to unwind. The staff are always helpful and friendly and make us feel welcomed. The food is great and it's nearby to some lovely walks along the Bridgewater canal, pubs and coffee shops. On our final visit the staff put the Euro finals on the TV in the hotel lounge and we could watch it in a relaxed environment over dinner and a drink.

If you don't have a car, it can be a little trick crossing the road, particular at peak hour, so an Uber or taxi is always recommended.
