The room was large, spotlessly clean, crisp linen, comfortable bed and a great shower with nice toiletries. I really liked the large table and mirror in front of the window which for any woman doing hair and make up is a bonus. Breakfast was very nice but dinner was exceptional. Every member of staff I encountered was extremely courteous with a big shout especially to the housekeeping staff

My only gripe was I had to move the table it to open the window, it’s heavy and I’m small so not really a gripe as I get that it would eat into the space if it was placed further away

it was my first time staying at a Dakota hotel and right from the moment I walked into the Lobby I felt it was going to be a goody stay . The staff on reception were welcoming and had just the right touch of professionalism and friendliness , the ladies who cleaned our rooms on the second floor were a great team and were extr5eemly helpful and welcoming to . We loved the feel and decor of our rooms and the theme flowed through the whole hotel .... very very stylish To sum up comfortable rooms , stylish surroundings and great service all adds up to a great stay .... we would defiantly recommend Dakota

to find fault would be churlish of me .... you can always find something if your looking but were were having far too good a time to notice

Lovely lo action with easy parking - great for visiting both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Lovely comfy bed - great linen, including fluffy towels. I had dinner and the service and food were top notch.

The hotel is very dark! I found lighting an issue. Yet...in the bedroom I had a slatted blind and it let through light! I love a dark room to sleep in, and this one thing spoiled it. There is also no guest directory, so I had no direction on house rules, facilities, or meal times for service etc.

The hotel style, the staff, the room in general but also the hall, the restaurant and the bar. All perfect! The bus stop to the Airport a few Meter distance, actually the reason why I have choosen It.

The spring mattress was not only soft but also a bit thin and with low density. Not at the same level of the rest of the hotel in my opinion. Is a small thing but Is crucial. No alternative to the hotel restaurant at walkable distance for dinner.

A very well appointed hotel with a very pleasant ambiance and attentive staff. Good value for money if you don't mind travelling a little further from the main cities. The standards also encourage you to look at other hotels within the Dakota group.

The location isn't particularly well suited for travelling into Glasgow unless you are driving however we were meeting friends relatively close to the hotel. We also knew this well in advance and before we booked so it was not a problem.

as soon as I sat on the bed it was soo noisy the wooden slats must need fixed under the mattress so after going to sleep about midnight as soon as one of us turned we woke the other one up with noise from bed frame. I have to sleep with a window open and the noise from a car popping all through the night was awful. we came to chill out and have a relaxing time to leave needing a sleep. thats all. hotel lovely as always been to Edinburgh and Glasgow Dakota and always been great

The room was decorated beautifully. Bed was amazing and pillows were great. Bathroom was lovely and the shower was relaxing. Staff were friendly and hotel ambience was quaint. Had a very classy feel to it. The wifi was good and didn't require information to login and had sky TV which js always nice.

Can't fault them for anything, only suggestion is to have a mini fridge in the room.

Spacious, quiet room. Easy and free parking. Easy check in and out. Fast lift - didn't have to wait long for it and it reached the 5th floor very quickly. Coffee pod machine in room. Upgraded to executive room at no charge and without even requesting it.

Massive Playboy picture in restaurant, which gave the establishment a seedy feel. Went through automatic doors to get in but then had to put my bag down to open the curtain across the entrance (better to black-out the inner automatic door and do away with the curtain. It would have the same effect and be more convenient to guests). Overflow in wash basin was filthy. On the first morning, the water was hot which ever way you had the tap - made brushing my teeth different! I stayed here a few years ago and when I went back to the room after breakfast brown water came out of the taps! Table placed infront of window making opening the blind and curtain quite difficult. It would have been better against the wall adjacent to the window - there was plenty of room.

As always the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, the hotel itself was absolutely spotless. The room was really clean too and everything was in working order, the restaurant was unreal, all the food was cooked to perfection and the staff were really friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great, I couldn’t fault our stay!

Food in the restaurant was first class , service was fantastic and very professional. Room standard is excellent and very comfortable. I used to stay at the hilton on visiting for work but i will now be staying here

Room neighbours were very noisy , doors slamming shut when let go , shouting in the rooms , talking outside their rooms ( drunken) but this is mostly out with the staffs control . people just need to learn to be a little respectful i think. I will however make a complaint about my neighbours should it happen again.
