Outstanding, warm friendly welcome, felt like home from home 100% dog friendly 😊. Breakfast is amazing every single morning and truly fills you up for the day. Evening meals are amazing too. Staff can't do enough for you and the bar has some great evenings, quiz, pool music etc and sky sports 😀. Can't recommend this hotel enough and if we are ever up this way again will definitely book here. Great location to explore.

Location from train station was fab, 5 mins walk ! Hotel was great, very welcoming and clean, stayed 3 nights with our cockapoo and we felt totally at home, staff were so welcoming, we honestly couldn't have asked for more. We had a large room overlooking the front of the hotel, just great. Very tasty breakfast too :-) Nice local bar for a few drinks, well behaved dogs allowed everywhere :-) Will definatly go back next year for our doggie holiday

Definitely would stay again. Spacious 6-room hotel (my double larger than it looks in the photo), with a comfortable bed. Superb breakfast, cooked to order. Very pleasant bar with good food. Excellent staff with that personal touch.

Only small gripe is that the shower was not very powerful - but I got used to it.

Lovely greeting on arrival. Staff very friendly, nice big room with plenty of windows (they can be opened for fresh air) and light, good bathroom. Breakfast was very good as well. the hotel is walking distance to bars/restaurants. Very dog friendly, even had some dog treats in the room. nice touch.

The bed was a little hard for my liking but it is a personal choice

Its proximity to town and the beach. Staff were wonderful…Very helpful and informative. Being able to eat in of an evening 👌🏻

They have ongoing issues with the water pressure in the showers which will be rectified during the off season. It didn’t spoil our time there though.

The Westerlea is a small family run hotel and therefore feels very homely. We had originally planned to stay at a different hotel by the beach, who didn't allow pets, so we had to change our plans, but we aren't sorry we chose the Westerlea instead, as we really enjoyed our stay. Food in the evening was really good, so was the breakfast. Lovely staff and the lively bar for a drink before dinner was a bonus.

Can't really fault anything. A bit strange to have the sink in the room (not all rooms had), but that is just down to the building's idiosyncrasies, so probably was the slightly low water pressure in the shower (which was modern and spacious beside that).

Very kind and helpful staff. Nice breakfast. Great premises. The family room for two adults was big and comfortable. Large and convenient car park.

The twin room for two adults was small and not comfortable at all. There was an annoying sound on the roof that kept us sleepless when it was windy.

The accommodation and food were both lovely as were the staff.Staff were very willing to help with luggage etc especially my daughter had a leg injury.

Unfortunately when I booked I didn't realise there was no lift but staff were very helpful ,offering help where required.

A very warm welcome , big spacious comfortable room with thick towels. The evening meal and breakfast was very good too. The staff ( Emily and Angie) and the owner Chris went out of their way to help including giving us a lift to the start of the rat race event we were doing and staying late for check in. An absolute gem , wound definitely recommend
