The receptionist (Ron! Give this man a raise please) is the kindest, funniest and most lovely Scot I came across here, maybe even the most lovely person of the UK, we had such a warm welcome by him, definitely an amazing way to kick off your stay! The other staff is also very very helpful and amongst the kindest I’ve ever come across in my years of traveling. Well that is just the beginning, now come the rooms. The decor is absolutely amazing, super warm and cozy. The bed is absurdly comfortable and big and the bathroom is extremely clean and modern. The corridors are clean and look very safe because they’re well equipped with a lot of firedoors, there’s carpet and look very safe and cozy just like the room.

the only tiny downside is the location as it is kind-off hard to reach by bus but this is 100% to blame on the bus 38 which almost never shows up on time (if it shows up at all), if you are coming by car the location is absolutely fine in a nice neighborhood.

Fabulous rooms (a little dark but great size and spotlessly clean). We had 205 and 206 which were deluxe doubles. Plenty of room for child on sofa bed in both rooms (these 2 are interconnecting). 206 has a bath but 206 shower only. Breakfast is extra, limited choice of fresh cooked to order hot food so probably should be included in room rate. Leisure club excellent as is spa....2 of us had massages which were fab and reasonably priced (and no upsale of spa products)....loved the hydrotherapy pool. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Lovely cocktails, restaurant ok (had dinner 1 night with friends), staff great but very overpriced. If you want town centre location this is not for you, to go anywhere you need a car (or be prepared to spend on taxis or have local friends willing to drive you about) but overall excellent and will definitely stay again

The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom too, we enjoyed the spa facilities and the swimming pool.

The staff at reception didn't answer the phone in the morning when I tried to call a few times to request an extra bath towel. When the receptionist eventually answered he questioned why I needed an extra towel, even though we had booked for two adults and a child. He also didn't know about local things in the area, it would be good to know what's around so as to answer client's questions or could he use the Internet to help us?! He just said he isn't from the area, well neither are we!

The Parklands Hotel was fabulous. It was our last night of touring on the motorbikes, so it was booked for the comfort, relaxation and most importantly, the Hydrotherapy pool to help 'revive & rejuvenate' some of the muscles from the long journeys. It was an absolute pleasure to use the leisure facilities and it was desperately needed. Some (3 of 6) of the hydrotherapy sections sadly were not working properly or at all, but hopefully the hotel gets them serviced and back up and running. The saunas were gorgeous, and then an ice cold blast mist shower was 'invigorating'! The leisure centre cloak/locker/changing rooms for both the male and female, were clean and well maintained. The users of the facilities were also very considerate of others and ensured they left it clean and tidy, which is always wonderful. Our room was gorgeous, and the facilities in the room were lovely. Tea and coffee facilities are available in the room. The bathroom was superb, with a large shower, that was so devine, and a large deep bath (sadly a long luxurious soak in the bath was not able to be had). Everything was clean and of stunning quality. The parking facilities are to the rear of the hotel which was a relief for us with the motorbikes, and we could see them from our room window. Always a bonus. We didn't eat in the hotel or avail of the restaurant, we took a walk to Nonna Gina's in the shopping centre just 10minutes walk up the road and had gorgeous Italian food, Gluten free menu was packed with everything Italian. I was in love with that menu! haha We would most certainly recommend the Parklands Hotel to any who are looking for a fabulous hotel to stay in in Newton Mearns. It was glorious.

We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, as it was quite pricey, and it would be nice if it could be included in the room rate. But other than that, we can not think of anything we didn't like about the hotel. Thank you to all the staff.

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice modern large rooms, very comfortable bed (in king size suite). Use of spa facilities. Close to family and shopping, easy parking. Lovely well stocked bathroom. Great shower and deep bathtub and bath robes. Quiet location. Nice restaurant and staff. Reasonable food selection.

Noisy, non-stop fan in bathroom. I understand why they have it, as there is no window in bathroom, and they need to control bathroom moisture. Keeping bathroom door shut helped. Would rate 4.9/5.

Hotel is spotless, well thought out rooms. Privately owned by people who care. This hotel is in a very nice part of Glasgow. The hotel is clearly popular with locals and visitors alike. All the staff we met were very nice, had pride, were helpful and a clearly contribute to the hotels success.

A bit difficult finding where to enter the hotel. This is a minor detail though. I really wished the young lady who checked us out had asked us how our stay was. It was all good and we would have liked to have said. This is just a thing I expect, in so many places receptionists never ask how was your stay? Perhaps she forgot, she was very pleasant and polite all the same.

The staff are just incredible....from the fabulous Maxine front of house for leisure to the lovely Blair on reception and all the serving staff in between. The rooms were really spacious and beds enormous....not to mention the super clean and modern bathrooms.... The spa is really first class. Better than the majority we have been to. We sound easy to please...I can assure you we're not. Having stayed in many hotels around the word and in Glasgow...this is a gem of a hotel....where the customer is considered first.

I thought that that the charge for the gowns and slippers were uncalled for and left a sour taste. A deposit would work better as they are nice quality and prevent them going missing

The room was larger than we expected and the bed was huge and very comfy. The breakfast was really nice and there was plenty of it. The spa facilities were modern, fully working and very clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much and couldn't find fault with anything else except that one dinner. We left feeling relaxed and stress free.

We are vegetarian and I am gluten free. The restaurant didn't cater well for us for dinner with the gluten free pasta undercooked and virtually no vegetables. We were still hungry after the meal so we ate out for the rest of our stay.

Lovely staff, had a birthday card for my partner which was a nice touch Amazing spa with great facilities, so relaxing would highly recommend Room was lovely and spacious with an extremely comfy bed and awesome bath Good choice of cocktails Good breakfast and service in restaurant

My only disappointment was how the steak was cooked. I ordered a medium steak which looked perfect on the outside but seemed to be undercooked in the middle, this was very pink with some blood present, clearly more like a rare steak. I understand this is not a steakhouse but considering the price I felt let down by this as I couldn't eat the steak however the starters and rest of the food we had at dinner was lovely

We stayed in one of the executive suites for our 'mini-moon', and we could not have asked for a better stay. The room was clean and extremely comfortable. Staff were also all very pleasant, and one of the receptionists even gave us her own umbrella to evade the torrential rain outside! We loved making use of the leisure facilities, it made for an extremely relaxing break away.

For the price of the rooms, breakfast could be included or at least slightly cheaper. We were quoted an extra £160 for 3 days breakfasts, on top of what had already been paid for an expensive room!
