Superb value for money and great location for the Granite Way. I stayed in a lovely little single room and had everything I needed for a comfortable 1-night stay. Clean and with a comfy single bed. So good to be able to book a single room for a solo traveller. Shared shower room which was clean and warm and I had a sink in my room too. Lockable shed for my bike. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Great breakfast. Everything was perfect for me. Thank you! I would of booked another night on my return trip but it was full!

Not really something "I didn't like" but I couldn't connect to the accommodation wifi (even though they seemed to have an extender) so I just used my phone data to access the internet with no problems.

The room was ideal and cleanliness is important to me. I was able to relax and rest after the long drive from Kent. After a 2 hour rest I was able to cycle the Granite Way and overlook the viaduct to the valley below. This was an option of an adventure off the beaten track and some exercise after a long driving experience. I was on my way to Cornwall and this seemed like a natural stop and I only had about an hours drive after Okehampton. I am not a big breakfast person and just had a bowl of porridge however, the owners were able to supply me with a bacon sandwich for my journey. Tea and coffee supplied and I managed to watch a Euros match for a short time. Excellent one night stop.

Parking was a 'hit and miss' situation but I did arrive early-ish. Parking after 4pm was much better.

The hosts were absolutely lovely and exceeded expectations in terms of making us comfortable. Everything was immaculate. Our room was spacious with many amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. We appreciated the location as well. It was within walking distance to the rail station and bike hire, but also close to restaurants, gift shops, and the center of Okehampton. The breakfasts were divine! Another nice touch was that the hosts, Lesley and Mark, provided an extensive library of guidebooks about the area for those who wanted to walk, hike, or bike in order to explore Dartmoor National Park.

Lovely, clean, warm room. Great location in Okehampton, walking distance to the train station and town centre. Wi-Fi and guests lounge available. Fantastic cooked breakfast. Hosts very welcoming, and accommodating when we made a request about timings to fit round what we were doing.

This isn’t really a negative, just a note to says there is only on street parking is available. This is free on street parking and I managed to get a space very close by, but you may or may not get a spot right outside the BnB.

Made to feel very welcome. I was on a cycling tour and while I usually go for chain hotel convenience, Meadowlea gave me all the space I needed, while also giving a friendliness which the Premiers and 'Lodges of this world really don't. Excellent breakfast, some great tips of where to go etc. Sharing a bathroom with two other rooms was no problem; especially as things were scrupulously clean and worked. Would stay again, for sure.

I can’t recommend Meadowlea Guest house highly enough. In an age of anonymous lock boxes it’s so lovely and refreshing to stay somewhere warm and cosy and personal. As others have said, breakfast is generous and delicious. It’s clean and comfortable, close to the station and Simmons Park and the town. I managed to walk on to Dartmoor on foot from the guest house but you are close to places to rent bikes.

Everything was great. The place was super clean, the hosts were super kind and friendly, the house was close to the center but not on a main road, the English breakfast was amazing and the host provided to give us vegan options, the pillows and the mattress were super comfortable and the whole room was cozy and warm and there was a boiler with tea and coffee provided. A perfect example of how a BnB should be.

Well received , hospitality 1st class room equipped with drinks ,very well located at top of house with skylight view. Breakfast early and well done , meal,coffee, tea, juice and toast. Located within 10 minutes of train station , regular trains to Exeter and bus services to Launceston and Bude accomodating for sightseeing of towns and beaches.

Friendly hosts. Great breakfast, served fresh, extra toast, and juice upon request. Comfortable bed, no noise and working nights this was an added bonus when back at accommodation to rest. Also were kind enough to allow me to check out slightly later so I could get some rest before travelling home.

Lovely spacious rooms with black out curtains. (we stayed in the 2 x en-suite rooms 3&4) Cleanliness was top notch. Replacement of biscuits/ clean glasses/ topped up of toilet roll etc every morning. I had a lovely large bay window (rm4) great selection for Breakfast - cereals/ full English/ light breakfast (salmon & scrambled egg/ GF/ yogurt & fruit) Access to a lounge if needed & breakfast room for takeaways if we wanted to was a nice option. Lesley & Mark we’re really welcoming, friendly & we would stay again!

Pretty much nothing! Minor - twin room mattresses could do with being bit firmer but I’m used to a firm mattress.
