The self catering cottage was spotlessly clean and very well presented. The kitchen although small was very well equipped and I used the microwave, cooker and washing machine without any problems. There was a little jug of milk and a bottle of water in the fridge for me to use. The bedroom and ensuite were so pretty and with plenty of room. The shower worked very well and the bed was so comfy. It was good being able to park right by the cottage too. The weather was mostly fine/sunny so being able to explore the grounds and walk through the woods was great, so lovely seeing the spring flowers. I have just come home from 3 nights at Lobhill and I very much appreciated the peace and quiet as I was in Devon for my friend's funeral.

Unfortunately I couldn't access the free WiFi, perhaps due to my antiquated mobile phone. I wanted to tell Jane but didn't see anyone when I left this morning. Also just a suggestion but if two people stay in the cottage I feel an occasional comfy chair would be appreciated too as otherwise it's either sit on the sofa together or sit on a hard dining room chair.

The cottage is set in beautiful surroundings. The garden was well tended, with plenty of communal seating, in addition to the personal-use table and chairs that were nearby. There is also a woodland you can walk in. We were lucky enough to see a deer on our journey to the nearby Alder Vineyard where we had an excellent breakfast. The cottage had everything we needed and was exceptionally clean, with a generous amount of tea, coffee, etc and all the other essentials required for a self-catering stay. The ensuite was spotless, and I loved the huge shower. There were loads of towels. Our host made us feel very welcome and I felt that nothing would have been too much trouble. I would certainly visit again.

A dishwasher would have made the facilities complete, but I appreciate there wasn't a spare area to accommodate one

Stop searching, this is the place you want to spend your vacation at! We stayed here for 3 nights with our 14-month old and it was wonderful. Jane prepared "The Shed" with some treats for us upon our arrival and was very responsive when we had any requests. After long days of exploring, we loved that there were multiple launch spots throughout the rental: we could either relax in the living room and overlook the hilly vineyards or enjoy the sun on the couch on the deck. In general the layout of the entire place fit our needs well: well equipped kitchen with even a milk foamer, each bedroom had their own bathroom, there was a little separate mudroom prior to the main living area (was great to store all the baby gear), and the best of all, it was a bit apart from the rest of the BnB so you had ample privacy. On our second day there, I told my husband, this is what vacation should feel like.

We cooked quite a bit and I wished there was a small dishwasher for convenience. Nevertheless, I would book this place again in a heartbeat if we wanted to stay somewhere in the area.

We stayed at Lobhill Farm for 2nts to attend a wedding at a nearby venue. Jane was a very accommodating host. We stayed in the Green Room, which is a.large, well appointed room, with a private balcony overlooking the amazing, well tended gardens. The ensuite was roomy with both a bath and powerful shower. The bed was very comfortable & the attention to detail throughout the property, gave a very homely feel. The breakfast was first class. Jane's recommendations for local pubs/food, were greatly appreciated,

Lovely host, very welcoming. The room was very comfortable and we had cold milk and water from a little fridge in the hallway. Wonderful breakfast cooked to order. Altogether an excellent experience, very professionally managed. The host, Jane, went out of her way to be helpful, even giving us a lift back from the nearby Alder Vineyard.

Very little. The bathroom could have benefited from a towel hook on the door.

Jane, the owner, was welcoming. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. A nice breakfast set us up for the day. In the grounds is a lovely woodland area you can explore and when we visited the bluebells were out and wild garlic. Jane emailed to advise us of local places to eat and we were not disappointed, but you do have to book in advance to get a table.

Jane is such a nice and lovely host. We really enjoyed our stay with her. The room and bathroom were really spacious and nicely decorated with a love for details. Everything was spotlessly clean. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee, milk and cold water was provided at all times as well as the delicious homemade fudge. The breakfast was great. We would definitely come back. :)

We used the self catering cottage that was immaculately clean with all the necessary cooking equipment. However we were lazy and made use of the gluten- and lactosefree breakfast that was served each morning in the B&B. Thank you Jane ever so much for your great kindness, your friendliness and to lend us the booklet of the Dartmoor walks. It made our short birthday trip for my husband a unforgettable one. We were looking to be close to nature, be somewhere quiet and be out of the daily ratrace. We found it all at Lobhill. We definitely return. We left enough to see for our next trip.

Lovely stay , even in the rain ! Cosy, spacious room, breakfast was fantastic, house and accommodation in beautiful surroundings. Jane was a great host Went to the vineyard and had fantastic lunch and very nice wine, really enjoyable time

We had a wonderful stay at Lobhill Farmhouse. We stayed there for 4 nights during Easter vacation. The house is cosy and the host Jane super friendly and extremely helpful. The freshly cooked English breakfast in a beautiful traditional kitchen always gave us a great start in the day and our kids loved it, too! Our 2 rooms were comfortable, super clean and tidy. The location is perfect for daily excurses and trips in the area around. The family vineyard is a short walk away for a nice lunch.
