I booked a 2 night stay at the Half Moon Inn for myself and a friend which is a perfect location for cycling the Tarka Trail and surrounding area. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome. The room was spotlessly clean with comfortable beds. The food was excellent with a good choice from the menu and also a specials board. The breakfast was also excellent with a good choice on offer. Nice beers too and all at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

Shower water pressure a bit low.

Wonderful Inn in the heart of a beautiful village, the room was much bigger than expected, excellent facilities, modern smart TV, great bath and shower. There was plenty of tea and coffee with the offer of asking for more if required. The owners of the premises are very friendly and welcoming, are very knowledgeable on the area and we're a pleasure. We ate dinner in the eve ing there and it was top class food. Great value for money. Breakfast in the morning was very nice, I had the fried breakfast, it was very tasty and not greasy. The sausages were really nice. Also a good option of Cereals Thank you for a wonderful stay Mike, Sara and Jack

It was a one night stop over. Hosts were very welcoming. Room was a good size and bathroom was a good size too. Very clean. We had drinks at their pub and had dinner there too which was great. Hubby said it was the best curry he had in a while. Breakfast - you had a great selection to choose from.

It’s just a small thing. We were on a ground floor room and you could hear the persons up above us walking around which was a bit loud.

We needed accommodation near to Pertersmarland for a family wedding. Being familiar with the area, the Half Moon was our first thought. Didn't disappoint. As it happened, we subsequently had a problem with our car and the manager was as helpful as could be supporting us whilst we arranged additional help.

Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing.

Gorgeous quaint pub and room was great-fantastic idea of going to the bar for fresh milk! Bonus! The meals were fabulous and 5* they must have a brilliant chef! They had an Italian themed night that was full up and the laughing and cheering was infectious! I was sorry I missed it!

My only grumble was I felt chilly so would have liked the heating on bit longer! Everything else was great!

We were meeting friends staying nearby so the location was convenient. Attractive village and room looked clean. Bathroom was clean with modern shower. It was very quiet. Staff were very friendly.

A shelf in the bathroom for a toilet bag would have been useful. The evening meal was very disappointing. Menu was lacking imagination - chips with most things. Chips were dry and over-cooked and the meals were not value for money. Breakfast was adequate, but beans were cold, mushrooms black and rubbery.

The team from landlord to service is wonderful. We as a group of friends went here once a year, it’s now two times and probably more next year. Some of our friends travel 6hrs by car and others come by air to be there. That in itself tells the tale

In a tiny market village square, what couldn’t you like

Booked a room only (not including breakfast) at late notice due to travelling last minute to see family. The staff were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were extremely clean which is always a worry for me with my OCD. The room was cosy, the bed was amazingly comfortable with big pillows, I didn’t want to leave in the mornings! Not like other hotels where the beds are hard and the pillows flat. They even give you a kettle for tea, coffee or hot chocolate in the room. I loved how they had a empty small milk bottle on the side next to the UHT milk pods with a note saying you could go down and ask for fresh milk! This amazed my family, who are all big tea drinkers and aren’t fans of UHT milk pods you only get in most places with tea drinking facilities. It was lovely and quiet at night meaning you got a good rested sleep!

Warm welcome, super friendly staff, well kitted out rooms, private, large, tastefully decorated, clean. Amazing pub, great beers, top class food, fantastic breakfast wide range of menu choice options, as much as we could eat!

Bed a little too squishy for us! Shower a bit cold in the evening but warm the next morning!

The entire staff team were excellent. Hayden and Kim greeted me at the door, Adam was very efficient and Holly was great asset had to contend w with my emails. The breakfasts w ere good and the Inn was able to cope brilliantly with our group of Old Shebbearians,a wedding party and an Inn full of customers.
