Staff are very friendly & welcoming. The décor in the hotel is quirky & lots of unusual things to look at. There's lots of weaving memorabilia. The bedroom was spacious & the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was really good with lots of choices, both for hot food & continental selection. Val on reception is a credit to the hotel. She's always smiling & nothing is a problem to her. . Housekeeping do an amazing job. Everything was spotless. Well done everyone, we really enjoyed our stay.

The whole experience was terrific. The staff was helpful, friendly, and engaging. We enjoyed a nice lunch in the bar area and a delicious breakfast in the morning. The room was very comfortable and the view from the room was unmatched. I would definitely recommend The Park to anyone visiting the lovely town of Peebles.

While there is a lift to the second floor, you may still encounter some stairs. That being said, the staff is more than happy to help get you to your room.

Great location. Good breakfast. Enjoyed tea in the bakery. Our room was upgraded from standard due to lack of clothes storage for a 4 night stay. Very helpful staff, willing and able to sort out the issue raised. Upgraded room was very clean and comfortable.

Inadequate hanging/ storage space for clothes in room we were first assigned. This was resolved promptly and without fuss.

Breakfast was good in both choice and quality. The room was large and was very comfortable for our eleven day stay. At the end of such a stay a small room would have been rather uncomfortable and cluttered.

only two significant complaints. During our eleven day stay, the restaurant menu never changed. It would also have been appreciated if the toileteries provided could have been replenished from time to time. After day three there was none left.

Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of breads, pastries, fruit, juices, cereals. Cooked breakfast was also very good, cooked to order. Nice views of the garden from some seats. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Dairy free and gluten free foods were available for breakfast. The view from our room was fantastic, being on the 2nd floor at the back looking towards the hills. Good to be able to use the facilities of Peebles Hydro, eg pool and sauna.

The dinner menu was not to our taste, eg langoustine so we went elsewhere in the evenings. Not really a problem as there are other places in Peebles which serve more traditional dinners. The lift only goes up to the first floor so it was a bit of a struggle hauling our luggage up the stairs (OK, we shouldn't have packed so much!). I'm sure staff would have helped if asked, though. Only one chair in the room, presumably because there was no room for two chairs.

Convenient, friendly, nice grounds, nice window views

Should use breakfast not the bar which is not suitable for decent dining and numerous people looked into it and walked out. Peebles was effectively cut off by road closures. Not hotels fault but we didn't stray be caused of difficulty getting back so a black mark for tourism

The hotel was more traditional and had a nice feel to it on arrival. The staff were very good and the breakfast was excellent. Our room was a little on the small side, but was arranged very well and had everything we needed for a single night stop.

There were two dinner menus which were very contrasting. One was the more traditional bar menu. The other an elaborate and rather expensive tasting menu. We opted for the bar menu, but could get a booking so ate out. There was plenty of choice in Peebles so not a problem.

The location is excellent,. The staff were really welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was outstanding and cooked perfectly. The rooms were clean and we had a lovely view. The bakery was a bonus with delicious cakes. We had one of the best steaks on one night of our stay. Peebles is a lovely town with lots of bars, coffee shops. A great base for exploring the Scottish Borders.

The bathroom - although lovely- was a little cramped. In all honesty I have a disability and should have asked for a bigger bathroom.

The room was a little on the small size and the space in the bathroom was very cramped; I could barely stand in the bath dues to the sloping ceiling. The space available to use the toilet was insufficient resulting in burns on legs from the exceedingly hot towel rail that was too close. The wash basin was mounted into a unit that was too wide further compounding the problem with the toilet; the owners should stay in one of these rooms and see how they feel about the usability of the en suite

The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size, We upgraded to a room with a view, and this was OK. The bathroom was modern and in a good state of repair. There was a good breakfast choice of fruit, juice, cereal and pastries and the staff were happy to do lighter options to the full breakfast, I had the vegetarian one and the veggie sausage was good - and I really appreciated the grilled halloumi. The location is excellent as it is near enough the centre of Peebles to be able to walk into the town - and the car was safely behing a barrier rather than parked in the street,

There was only a coffee machine in our room, which was easy to use, but did not make a good cup of tea in the morning. We did ask if a kettle could be provided instead, but were told that as ours was an upgraded room, they all had been fitted out with coffee machines and the member of staff we spoke to seemed not to be able to get us a kettle.
