The bedroom is spacious, so are the comfortable bed and the shower. It is very well equipped. For example, a hair dryer and even a dressing gown are provided! The owners are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was enjoyable although I cannot judge the full english breakfast. Delicious home made bread!

Almost nothing. The bathroom is a bit small in comparison to the size of the bedroom and the shower. Cars must be left in the street. There is little risk of being fined at that location, but the street is very sloping. Do not forget to tighten well your handbreak!

Sarah and Deano made Bank House B&B feel like a home from home. From the moment I arrived, I felt looked after: Sarah even came out to the street with me to check my car wasn’t in the permit-only area. The service, food and variety of choice at breakfast was amazing. It was really lovely to see the amount of effort and thought that had gone into choosing the breakfast ingredients. As a solo traveller, I really appreciated having the company of Sarah and Deano at breakfast, it was interesting to hear their insights about the local area and I enjoyed their genuine interest in my plans for the day. I stayed in Room 0 and it had such a large bathtub you could practically swim in it. The view of the garden was beautiful, and it was lovely to be able to pop out into the garden at sunrise or just before sunset. In the breakfast room, they have a mini fridge with fresh milk in milk jugs for each guest that you can take back up to your room and use to make tea, coffee or hot chocolate. But you can also use the fridge to store any items of food you’ve brought with you.

The only slight issue I had was that some allergies were triggered – but I am very sensitive to allergens. It normally happens when I stay somewhere that used to allow smoking and there are pets there. However, I didn’t see any pets when I was there and no smoking was allowed in the rooms, so I’m not sure what could have triggered some airway irritation.

Incredibly comfortable bed in a lovely room with everything you could need and in a very quiet location which made for a superb nights sleep. Fantastic breakfast, just make sure you read the labels as the sauces have quite a kick! Very friendly and helpful hosts. Will most definitely return. And I can't forget to mention the flapjack welcome... That stuff was delicious!

We received a warm welcome from the lovely couple who runs the B&B, despite the fact that we've arrived slightly past the check-in time. The next day we have been offered a delicious breakfast made with local and eco ingredients - it set us in a great mood for a rainy day ahead. Room was clean with a cozy bed and fabulous view from the window. Our stay was short, but it will be well-remembered.

The breakfast was amazing. There was a system for ordering beforehand which meant there was a lot of choice without wastage. The juice was freshly squeezed, there was a delicious dish with fruit, yogurt and granola, also home made, and fresh home baked toast. The hosts were very hospitable. There was cake we could have on arrival and a comfortable lounge we could use. When they discovered we were on our way to an event at midday just down the road they immediately offered for us to stay in the lounge past the leaving time and brought a tray of coffee. It made our weekend very easy and pleasant.

Nothing could have been better. The location is on a steep road and there was parking on the road right by the guest house but it took a bit of skill!but

a very warm and friendly welcome! Good clean room with amazing views. brilliant breakfast choices with home made toast and locally sourced preserves. both Sarah and Deano make you feel like you are very welcome in their place and help out if you are looking for things to do in the area.

it's at the top of quite a steep hill. not a really bad thing but worth noting if you aren't as mobile as others.

What a great find via booking.com. Enjoyed a night at this gem of a b+b. Large room, very comfortable bed, the mattress was just perfect. Spotlessly clean and the hosts had gone the extra mile to make sure guests felt safe with regards to covid regulations, including sending a video explaining what to expect from arrival to departure. Refreshment tray in the room was plentiful - fresh milk too! Breakfast was outstanding, using the finest local ingredients. Can't fault it at all.

Nice comfortable bed. Provided cereal and toast plus tea at 5.30 in the morning because I had to get to the start of a sponsored walk which I wasn't expecting. Normal breakfast the following morning was very nice. Chatty hosts made the whole thing even better.

I'm not an experienced traveller but I struggled to find any negatives.

Only unfortunate thing was the heatwave! And that was out of the hosts’ hands. I’m sure if they could have made it 10-15o cooler, they would have done! Lovely people!
