The excellent choice of breakfast items. We were impressed with the service provided by the waitress (Charlotte) on Tuesday to Sunday mornings, the receptionist (part time student) and the maintenance man - almost 5*.

Signage to the hotel was obstructed by trees. Grass around premises was very overgrown which gave a neglected appearance. Our final breakfast on the Monday was disappointing due to the poor waitress service, who seemed to avoid the guests - no check-in, food items not being replenished and staying in the kitchen eating bowls of fresh fruit and yogurt. No attempt to check on guests needs.

Easy location to find and though sat by the side of the A1 the road didn't bother us. All bar one of the staff were absolutely lovely! Mev was terrific at reception and behind the bar - so helpful and smiley, one night even offered to wash up my granddaughters dinner things . The breakfast was terrific with a good selection and plenty of it, and the breakfast lady was fabulous too as I had to get to Burghley Horse Trials early every day - she gave me a pot for fruit salad etc. Evening food was tasty but slow, not much of it and therefore quite expensive. Beds comfortable and rooms clean.

I booked one room early and the other later so the price difference was interesting! There was no cot in the room despite having asked for it - it did not arrive either despite being there 5 nights so we had to manage without. The shower pulsated limpy and was weak and luke warm. Had to request housekeeping clean the room.

Everything was great thank you when we actually got there! But definitely would stay again, great value for money.

Had a bit of difficulty finding it even with the sat nav. Trees were obliterating the sign, that was the only downside.

The night staff on Friday the 26th was awesome!! Friendly, professional, and swift check in. We asked for some local information and he clearly directed us. The lady on the desk on Sat morning was amazing! I chatted to her for a while and really enjoyed the discussions. Your staff are superb. The breakfast selection was brilliant! However 10am is a bit too early to close breakfast on a weekend in my opinion. The fan in the room was a life saver as the temperatures were quite high.

As my husband was ironing he knocked over a vent and the amount of dirt in there shocked him. Some deep cleaning is needed. That can trigger problems for someone asthmatic. The grounds need to be trimmed, there isn't much of a view by rooms 104 except overgrown grass outside. More lighting and clear hotel signage by the main road. The little hotel sign is almost identical by long grass.

The staff were exemplary, polite, respectful, professional, friendly and very good at their jobs.

Breakfast... The food was good however, it began to run out at 9.20 when it finished at 10am. We were lucky the young lady who was serving and helping got what she could from the kitchen and was so polite and helpful, but her hands were tied as I guess the chef had left and no more food was available after 9.20am, even though the service finished at 10am. Many guests who arrived at 9.30 were disappointed. The young lady was apologising fully to all guests. She was excellent..

The hotel was well situated for an overnight stop on a long journey, jut a few hundred yards from the A1(M). There was plenty of space in the car park, reception was extremely efficient and check in was very fast. It was excellent value for money. The room was great, perhaps a tad on the small side, but well equipped and maintained and we loved the shutters over the windows instead of curtains. The bar was comfortable and spacious and the breakfast very good. All the staff were friendly and helpful and that always makes a big difference. We were delighted we had chosen this hotel for our break of journey and it's on our list for the next time we got that way.

The corridors to the rooms could do with a little maintenance although they are in no way in a poor state, otherwise everything was very good and we have no negative comments to make.

We have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and are never disappointed. It looks a little jaded from the outside but inside is clean and the rooms are clean and functional. Breakfast is a very full, freshly cooked, quality buffet with fresh fruit, croissants, cereals and yoghurt etc as well as the cooked offerings. The staff are always pleasant, friendly and efficient with a special thank you to Charlotte at breakfast. It is exceptionally good value and is situated just a short drive from Peterborough centre. We happily recommend The Milestone.

The friendliness and especially the kindness of the staff. I had the best shower I had enjoyed in ages. The facilities were super. Staff could not do enough for me. The lady who was in the restaurant was very helpful on my arrival, making sure I was well fed and watered. Sonia on reception the next morning made sure my luggage was looked after and kindly gave me some water for my journey. I had needed some assistance which she gave when needed. Am very grateful to all staff for making me so welcome and I look forward to staying there again.

Out of town, but conveniently located hotel just off the A1(M). It had obviously recently been refurbished and had a pleasant atmosphere. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and good value, with the staff being really friendly and helpful. The evening restaurant is a bonus for guests, while village pubs are only 5 minutes drive away.

The fixed table lamp blocked easy access to the mains plugs. The air conditioning was very weak which left the room rather warm in June. It would be useful to have the breakfast and restaurant times on the room information cards.

From the initial welcome by the fabulously kind and well mannered young man,Nish who went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable..I WOULD LIKE THE SENIOR MANAGEMENT TO TAKE NOTE!! this gentleman needs retaining, applauding AND renumerated appropriately with a raise!! I travel all over the world and have never received better reception..his smile is so welcoming i applaud you Nish and hope to see you soon.. take care young man☺️

Not a lot..i would draw attention to the radiator in the room not being upto par with the rest of the room however it really didnt bother me..unlike a drunk fool who accosted me and my 11yr old daughter on the way to our room! Not a reflection of the MILESTONE.
