Beautiful, unique hotel in lovely surroundings. Serious attention to detail on the refurbishment of the Pullman train carriages. Dinner was also delicious. Friendly and helpful staff. I loved the atmosphere in the dining room. Breakfast was also very hearty. Definitely recommend to those looking for an unusual hotel experience.

In an ideal world there would be extras like slippers and a bathrobe. As someone who arrived by train, it was necessary to get a taxi from Pulborough station to get to the hotel as the buses don't run very frequently. So if you don't have access to a car it's a little more complicated to get there. But the trade-off is that it's a quiet place in a quiet town.

A real treat! This is a charming and delightful former country train station, 2 miles outside Petworth Village and close to Petworth House. Our accommodation was in the restored classic Pullman train carriages, each converted into 2 en-suite bedrooms. The carriages stand along the platform next to the station building, where a satisfying breakfast is served ion the old waiting room! The carriages themselves are fitted out with a good sized double bed. Most of the original paneling and decor has been retained and the room is decorated with period artifacts which give authentic character to the whole experience.

Nothing!

Really characterful carraiges and nice furnishings and finish whilst still persevering historic features and feel. We had dinner too and was very tasty and quality vegan fare, and a real effort was made with the dinibg room, service and ambience. Breakfast too. We felt treated and had a lovely stay.

All good, we knew the step up to the carraige would be a bit of a challenge for my mum who has some mobility challenges bit risked it. Maybe a temporary slope or smaller steps to aid.

A beautiful conversion of an old country railway station and original rolling stock from the hey day of luxury travel. Was given a very warm welcome by the staff, the rooms (in actual old carriages) were very clean and well furnished, excellent breakfast and perfectly located near towns and villages to explore just a short drive away, although evening meals are not provided there are many local venues to choose from including the pub right next door.

Owing to the nature of rooms, you can feel movement / vibration and hear neighbouring room occupants as they move around.

Quirky and in a carriage, unique experience. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Parking was good. Mobile signal on O2 and Vodafone working even at 4G! and much much better than reviews suggest.

Carriages in some places need some external redecoration and overhaul. Green emergency lighting illumination indicator very bright and illuminates the room. Wi-Fi unusable, there is 4 wireless access points (SSID) on the site and your device is constantly switching between them so often without signal. A Wi-Fi mesh system would be much better for the site.

Staff were polite and friendly. Easy to get to and accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed. Breakfast was the best we have had anywhere. It was in beautiful surroundings and a 2 minute walk to the pub which was also lovely and delicious food. Very peaceful and relaxing.

There was nothing we didn't like except we couldn't stay longer due to work commitments.

Loved the fact we actually were staying in an old carriage with lots of character it was amazing . The breakfast in morning was superb lovely way to spend my birthday !

Only how cold it was but that was due to the weather nothing to do with our stay . We had a lovely throw to put on the bed and an electric fire to switch on

Welcoming, Spotlessly clean, special place, quirky and memorable. Service was excellent just a few small touches would make this stay exceptional. Rooms are very nicely furnished fitting in with the ambience of the carriage and the bathroom had recently been refurbished. Bedding was beautifully clean and really comfortable. Evening meal in Badgers pub just a few minutes walk away was excellent and would highly recommend to complete a great stay.

Booked as a birthday treat, a great place for a night or two, particularly if you fancy something a little different, stayed in a cosy carriage and breakfast was fab. Nearest eatery "Badgers" very convenient, would recommend you book ahead of your stay to guarantee a table.

The quirkiness of the railway carriage was fun and the facilities were great. The option to have breakfast in the garden was lovely and we had excellent weather

It’s nothing to do with the property itself but you definitely need your own transport as getting local taxis was impossible
