The stay was simply exceptional. We were a family of 6 (2 parents, 2 grandparents and 2 children) and this felt like home away from home for the night. We were greeted by complementary drinks, snacks and an abundance of facilities (6 towels in the double room!). The rooms and bathrooms were exceptionally clean with every small detail considered. Our children woke up to a full plate of Irish pancakes and hot chocolate at 6am, as if they had woken up in their grandparents’ home. This is an “old school” BnB, where the hosts will wait up for you, offer you food and drink and engage in pleasant conversation. If you’re looking for an anonymous, faceless stay then this perhaps isn’t the place for you. For our needs after a long busy week touring hustling and bustling cities, this was just the tonic before the trip home.

Nothing at all.

I wish every B&B were like this. Was traveling with my mom and niece and this place was perfect for our stay. Room was big, comfortable and very clean, more than enough for the 3 of us, with lots of ammenities available, simple things that we never have with us, such as hairdryer and even power adapters (for USB, mini USB, etc) which were very useful. Every single thing I could think of "would be good to have" they had it. They think about everything and make us feel in a home away from home. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared with plenty of food (even more than we could have it!). They even adapted to the time we needed to leave. Martin and Christina helped us with every single detail and question we had, have given us good suggestions of restaurants and were so kind, offering us delicious treats as soon as we arrived every day, always smiling. And the dogs? Oh we loved them! I will certainly stay here again if I have the chance and highly recomend this place.

Location - is not close to the beaches if this is the intetion, but if you have a car, is no problem at all. Parking can be difficult depending on the time.

A Hidden Gem in Poole! I'm not one to usually write reviews, but my stay at Apps B&B in Poole was truly exceptional and deserving of a glowing review! From the moment we arrived, Christina and Martin went above and beyond to accommodate our early and late arrival due to the ferry schedule. Their warm welcome and flexibility set the tone for a fantastic stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and amazing, with all the little extras that make a big difference. It's clear that Christina and Martin have put a lot of thought into creating a cozy and inviting space for their guests. What really stood out to me was the attention to detail and the extra touches that made our stay feel special. From the fresh towels to the delicious breakfast, every aspect of our stay was carefully considered to ensure we felt at home. Christina and Martin are brilliant hosts who genuinely care about their guests. They're warm, welcoming, and always willing to lend a helping hand. We had to go home

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were treated with such warmth and kindness that it was a joy. We parked right outside the front door, which was asy to spot because the lights were on the show us the way. Martyn greeted us at the door and we all chatted happily as he showed us our rooms. For various reasons, we booked the family room and a double. As is so often the case, things didn’t quite go as planned so instead of six of us there were only three. So, my wife and I took the family room and my MiL the double. Both were absolutely lovely. Christina has a great eye for decoration and the room has everything that you could possibly need for a stay. My wife commented that this is the first place that we’ve ever stayed that had sanitary products in the bathroom cabinet, just in case. That is the level of thoughtfulness displayed throughout. In the family room, there are curtains to separate the double bed area from the kids bunk bed section, and from the bathroom/dressing area, as well as teddies and even a Harry Potter book to give things a homely feel. Everything was absolutely spotless and we didn’t hear a thing as we relaxed in our room after a long day and then proceeded to have a wonderful nights sleep. The family room has an en suite shower room and the double has an external, private shower room. And by external, I mean the bathroom and shower doors are literally next to each other. Breakfast was a marvel. Christina laid on a spread fit for royalty and we left wonderfully full and contented. As we got in the car to begin our journey home my wife commented that we should look for things to do around the area purely so we have an excuse to come back. How’s that for a vote of confidence? So, thank you Martyn and Christina at Apps B&B for a truly wonderful stay It was a genuine pleasure.

Not a single thing.

The second time we stayed here. Cleanliness of room's was exceptional. The attention to the needs of guests is a high priority with extras available, sweets, a small fridge with refreshments, toiletries and a vast selection of hot drinks. Wonderful, well-kept garden viewed from the window. Breakfast was freshly cooked and a variety of options for consumption. Although we had to be out by 1030, my son was allowed to stay on and use the facilities whilst he waited for his vehicle to be collected. He was fed and watered. Great hosts, friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Nothing.

We enjoyed the whole experience and we are already looking to book again for later in the year. We only stayed for 1 night this time, but will be looking to book at least 2 nights next time. The hosts were excellent, in so many ways. They couldn't have made us feel more welcome when we arrived and throughout the whole stay. The room and the facilities were excellent, everything we needed, and more, were available. The breakfast is one of the best I have EVER had! Our children still talk about the pancakes!

There was nothing we didn't like and no changes I would suggest. The can't improve on perfection!

Amazing like gem of a B&B! A proper home from home. Martin & Christina are so friendly & welcoming. We had the quadruple room & the complimentary fridge goods & vast array of tea coffee available was a lovely touch. Clean & comfortable & the breakfast was amazing - you will not leave hungry!! Christina's homemade bread was delicious... Definitely recommend & we will be back for our next sailing from Poole...

No signage meant we were unsure we had the right place but cannot fault anything else.

Lovely Hosts Very clean and great attention to detail the b & b has everything you need and more. The beds are very comfortable, and the private bathroom had a good range of quality products. The breakfast was excellent with a good choice again using quality ingredients The Wi-fi was fine and I got a good 4G signal on 3 Network. I have stopped at many boutique hotels that do not come up to the standard achieved by Martin & Cristina and would definitely recommend and book there again.

parking could be problematic

An excellent stay in a lovely family home, the room was very private but felt part of the home. The hosts very friendly and welcoming, they had thought of everything in the room to make the stay an wonderful experience. They were full of local information, particularly in suggesting a place to eat in the evening. Breakfast was first class. Area and house were very quiet at night, some aircraft nopise from nearby airport but not over whelming.

The only slight down side for me was that it was further from the Port than I would have liked as I had fairly early boat to catch. Having said that the drive only took 40 mins at the height of the rush hour and it was well sign posted. I suspect at a quieter time of day it would have only taken half that time.

From moment Christina opened the door she was bright bubbly n welcoming. Showed us to room- fantastic! Everywhere clean bright n well looked after. There was coffee making facilities, fridge with complementary beer n wine in plus chocolates around the room. Shower room had shower creams etc for us to use, also spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely, great choice of cereals, fresh fruit, drinks and toast spreads. Cooked breakfast was lovely and delivered within minutes of us arriving. Pancakes were yum. Thank you. Fantastic value for money. Approx 20 mins drive from Poole quay where we visited for RNLI weekend.

Only one very small problem. House was situated on a bend and car had to be parked on the road but this was in a very quiet road so not a big problem. Fantastic night away, would recommend to everyone and we will definitely be staying there again if in the area.
