The restaurant is decorated incredibly and has a lovely feel and atmosphere, the food was amazing. Staff were absolutely brilliant super friendly and accommodating/helpful. Couldn't fault the stay at all!

Absolutely nothing. There was nothing at all that we disliked. Only constructive criticism would be maybe incorporate a bit more of the theme and decoration of the restaurant into the hotel rooms as the restaurant has a brilliant look and feel and the room felt like it almost needed a little bit more of the restaurant feel in it. But we still absolutely loved it and would 10000% recommend and be back even though we only live around the corner! :D

Staff were pleasant and helpful, we had a meal in the thai restaurant and breakfast the next day were lovely, the room was ok, a little tired but ok for 1 night. The decor in the pub and restaurant is great and very welcoming.

Theres parking behind the ox, but so small and tight to get in, just big enough for 4 cars,. Car park across the road only let's you do 4hrs max, not sure if you'd want to leave it there all night either. I booked it as we were going to the lighthouse which is 25mins walk away, or 5 mins in a taxi. Booked it on booking.com and all in all probably over priced at £107 for a B&B Bearing in mind it's on a main road junction.

We were attending a party in OX2 so being next door was ideal. Nice style, bit quirky. We had 2 rooms (11 and 12) on different floors. Both were a decent size with comfortable beds. Ate with family the next day which meant we didn't get to try breakfast but the menu looked great! Their little car park was a bonus as it was raining, but there's a pay and display across the road.

Room 11 was cold in the evening, but rather that than hot. Room 12 had a shower hose over the bath with no fixing so was not very easy to use without flooding the whole bathroom. They were really the only negatives, everything else was lovely.

Our room couldve had a proper shower fitted and shower curtain and no bath,very difficult to shower, especially being tall or older.. Wardrobe would've been better than a clothes rail, no long mirror! Very poor lighting.

I had a top floor room (15) it was luxurious to say the least. The whole room was fantastic, the bed was massive, the bathroom was big everything was lovely. The restaurant is exceptional, I had a Thai meal in the evening which was as good as any meal I had in Thailand. I had a full English breakfast and you can tell they use local produce as that too was exceptional. the restaurant is worth visiting even if you’re not staying on the hotel. The bar and the staff were so lovely we were only there a night but I felt like a local within hours. I managed to get a parking space in the car park, the entrance to the car park is quite narrow but I managed ok. I highly recommend this hotel/restaurant/bar and will most definitely stay again.

You can hear some noise from people who are going home late at night but there isn’t anything the hotel can do about it. I still rate the hotel and stay a 10/10.

Friendly staff. Comfortable and spacious room with large bathroom. Toiletries provided and complementary biscuits and bottles of water daily. Large fan which was quiet but powerful.

Very limited parking on premises but council car park opposite side of main road. Parking fee charged from 8am every day so had to remember to pay via machine or online.

Food from the Thai chefs was excellent and the reception (Gemma I think) and bar staff really friendly and helpful - everyone seemed happy and the place has great taste in decor and character - bonus was the glass dancefloor with the hammerhead shark...

In room no 1 the road traffic noise may keep some people awake during the rush hours

The staff were friendly and helpful, including allowing me to take my bike into my room. The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast, with good menu choices and the bar had a decent choice of real ales

I had a lot of difficulties finding it from Poole station, even with the help of Google maps and asking for directions more than once. Of course, that is no fault of theirs but perhaps more detailed directions on the website would not be amiss.

The interior decor was beautiful, the staff were super friendly and helpful and the location was good with a local bus running every 10 minutes to poole Quay. Breakfast was delicious too!

Some of the paintwork needed re doing, the window pane was cracked in our room and when touched with my finger could easily be pushed right out. Some if the floor tiles were also cracked in the bathroom. All cosmetic but easily fixed.

We arrived before check in as we were due to go to a wedding, the friendly staff let us use the room to get ready and provide the key before the room was ready & it was really appreciated. We wish we could of stayed longer and tried the restaurant because it looked beautiful and we’re keen to come back! Great stay, with the most friendly staff
