This was great value and the pool, sauna and steam room were gorgeous. The breakfasts were huge and good quality. The room we had in the lodge was really lovely with lots of natural light. Overall a real find and I’d be happy to stay there anytime in Bournemouth.
While the housekeepers in the lodge and the staff in the bar / restaurant were really friendly and helpful, the staff on the desk at the pool and spa (who also book guests in) were pretty cold and I’d go so far as to say they seemed to feel lodge guests were a nuisance, and they were there for the club members only. They didn’t like to be disturbed by guests arriving at their desk. Such a shame as they are the ones making the first impression.

The place is lovely, even more so if you're a fan of golf... parking is straight outside The Lodge (which is a separate building housing the "hotel" rooms, surrounded by the golf greens) but if you can't park outside The Lodge there's more parking available further on... however at busy times the 2nd car park can be quite full... it's used by all the local people who use the gym/pool/excersise classes/sauna, jacuzzi and steam room... which are in a building approx 100m away from The Lodge... hope you're following this!? (basically two completely detached sites, on a golf course, one housing the rooms, one housing everthing else)... the breakfast is good, there are quite a few options... the food offered for lunch and dinner is reasonably priced and there's a mediocre selection....as for the drink prices- I'd remortgage your house before arriving here if you're planning on buying drinks from the bar... the rooms are well appointed and nicely furnished... the aforementioned gym, pool ,sauna etc are well maintained and, we found, not too busy
The drink prices at the bar are ASTRONOMICAL... £13 for one (large) glass of wine... I kid you not... a friend who lives nearby remarked "Even Rick Stein doesn't charge that much!"... so £20 for one wine and one pint of Guiness. The only other fault was the room we were allocated on arrival (Room 7)... we had asked for a quiet room prior to our stay and were assured that (after consultation with housekeeping) our room was considered quiet... it was next to a dual carriageway... and underneath a very noisy family... one of whom thought it amusing to break wind quite loudly every so often... our 2nd room, which we were moved to after complaining (Room 4)... was a delight... and nowhere near people who think it funny to fart loudly... bliss...

Every single one of the staff, I wish I could remember all names, the 2 ladies cleaning the rooms were so friendly when I was asking about the different rooms for our return, they kindly showed us a few, it was so helpful. The staff on the desk, were exceptional always smiling and friendly, we got there early at about 2.30, my son needed to use the toilet, the desk said, we have your room ready, I was shocked, but very pleased, we could use the facilities earlier than expected, we were also given 2 upgrades for the 2 rooms, it made it so special. Henry, I do remember, he is also very friendly and helpful, and funny too, also the bar staff, they are all lovely in fact I've never been anywhere quite like this where the staff go above and beyond. The facilities are all amazing we got to use everything 2 of the days, I can't fault anything, just can't wait to go back this was our second visit, the first myself and my husband and because our son loves the gym etc, we bought him along as a late Christmas present, he loved it. My son had a massage by Becky and he really enjoyed that, so book in if you can.
Was a little niggled that someone took the only disabled parking, my husband has his blue badge but couldn't use that space, the car didn't have a blue badge and it didn't move in the 3 days we were there. I know Henry was on the case.

I stayed here as a last minute detour on route to friends, to have a mini retreat on my own for a couple of days. The room was basic but clean & comfortable. The overall experience was made fantastic by being able to use the facilities (pool & spa..and classes..the dance class is a must if you want an instant endorphin boost!) and every person working there were all very warm, welcoming and lovely. It was a little treat, which was a bargain for the cost of the room/what you get access to, and it is also within walking distance of the long stretch of beautiful beach.

The staff were very friendly and obliging with our requests for our grandchildren. The surprise sweets at Halloween was a kind touch. The location was scenic, quiet and a short 15 minutes walk to the centre of town with its restaurants etc. Although busy with golfers, we still managed to find onsite parking close by. The showers always had hot water and the towels were good quality.
The uphill vehicular driveway needs re-surfacing. Unfortunately the walls and ceilings are quite thin in the rooms-so we could hear snoring from a fellow guest and every movement in the rooms above could be heard in the early morning and evenings.

The room was spotless and warm when I arrived. There was plenty of space and bags of storage. The room was well -designed and the lighting was good. It was extremely quiet, and it was a double aspect room which meant I had views of trees out of every window. It felt like being in the middle of a forest, despite being close to the centre of Bournemouth. I could glimpse Wessex Way, a big dual carriageway, through the trees, but couldn't hear it at all. Good double glazing! The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I didn't want to do any driving during my stay, as I'd had a gruelling six-hour drive to get to Bournemouth. I found that it's a pleasant ten-minute walk into the centre of town, and perhaps another 10-15 minutes to get to the seafront, via the lovely Pleasure Gardens. I'd forgotten how attractive a town Bournemouth is. I grew up there but don't come back frequently. Lots of Art Deco architecture and palm trees!
The security lighting around the Lodge is very bright, and the blinds aren't really "blackout" blinds, so my room wasn't quite dark enough to sleep well in. The bathroom was a bit chilly (I was staying in November) but if you plan ahead and put the heated towel rail on you can have a very pleasant bath!

The staff need a special mention because they were all extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a very good size with a clean modern bathroom. Despite the bed being two singles zipped together to form a double, this didn’t bother me and it was extremely comfortable. The facilities are fabulous, with a small but well equipped gym and lovely swimming pool and great spa facilities. The beach is a short walk(15-20 min) away through the park and city centre. I ate at the restaurant on both nights and the food was lovely.. hats off to the chef. The breakfast was also great. However, the atmosphere in the restaurant felt a little flat.
The WiFi reception was terrible. On speaking to a member of staff I was informed that they were in the process of upgrading it. The walk to the beach/town is through a pathway through the woods, which leads to an underpass. This walk is lovely and not an issue in the day but in the evening it’s a little sketchy. The only other slightly negative point (but I’m being picky) is that the television could do with upgrading to a smart TV.

Very friendly and helpful staff, in particulat, all the reception stafff. Convenient location just 10 mins walk from the centre. 15/20 mins walk to the BIC.. Very well equipped gym and lovely pool and spa facilities. We stayed in a superior room on 1st floor (no lift for less able) which was very comfortable. Great choice of breakfast options
Personally I found it difficult going down the steps to the pool area from the changing rooms due to being slippy. Also could do with a toilet.in/off the cafe/bar as had to go down stairs to the changing room toilets. Just minor points but certainly wouldn't stop me returning.

The property is located in a lovely park with golfing and spa facilities. Our room was spacious with a view on the park. The bed was very comfortable and very big. Bournemouth centre is just a 10 minute walk away. They also have a bar that is open till quite late and that provides a good selection of food, including gluten free options. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Our room was on the first floor and had a sloping roof. While this is a lovely feature in the bedroom, the sloping part extends to the bathroom and to the shower. Because of this we could not have a shower standing upright in the bath. Also, the property is at the top of a steep slope, so anyone with walking difficulties should keep this in mind.

Fantastic location, great views from our clean, spacious room overlooking golf course. Room serviced daily on request. The room looked great after service Top quality leisure facilities. Excellent staff gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble, friendly, welcoming. Enjoyed a delicious homemade soup/hot chocolate in the bar. Pleasant walk into town/seafront. Note that it's uphill walking back!
Teabags not local eg Dorset tea Co (think they may do coffee also) Not enough milk or sugar but more available in reception. No sockets near bed. Luckily, I have a long charging lead
