The room was spacious and comfortable, and on the ground floor which was helpful for us older folk with limited mobility! Snacks in the room were very welcome. Breakfast was excellent, in a beautiful dining room with attentive staff and good choice of food and drinks.

On arrival we were given the room key and told we had to go outside again to get to our room.(It was pouring with rain at the time!) No instructions were given about breakfast, but we assumed we would find this information in our accommodation. However, this was not the case.The facilities would have probably been fantastic if we had instructions for the coffee machine, Wi-fi, and breakfast arrangements, and had we known whether or not the wine provided was complimentary!. Several fruit tea bags were provided but only two of English Breakfast tea. A cleaning cloth had also been left in the bathroom sink when we arrived, and no spare toilet roll had been supplied. It was a shame that a stay in such beautiful surroundings was marred by basic Customer Service issues.

Meal. Did not complain as tired and hungry. Overcooked battered fish with minuscule portion of mushy peas. Steak and kidney pie good but served on cold mash; limited vegetable option - cabbage or broccoli. Alterations to building mean many bar /restaurant area is very open and echos with noise of jovial groups - we asked to be moved to the quieter restaurant area,

The bedrooms were excellent. I booked the property for my parents and their rooms were in the main building - they were cosy, modern and well decorated, warm and clean.

They could have done with a few more staff as there was a bit of waiting around to check in and at breakfast. Also, the food menu was not very extensive as there were a number of items which were not available.

On line booking service not working Air conditioning unit had a flashing light which we could not turn off and kept my husband awake No English or hot breakfast option big let down considering cost of the room

The building, location and surroundings were lovely. The housekeeper staff were friendly and obliging. The towels were perfect.

The food was good but a tad expensive, did not have breakfast included in price but did partake but it was not particular great but the pricing was not well advertised or explained.

Peter looked after us brilliantly from the initial phone call when we had a query with our booking, through arrival to departure. What a charming host!

Beautiful hotel and gardens. Rooms were gorgeous and are kept very clean by cleaning staff. The food was lovely and although expensive was really tasty. All the hotel staff were wonderful. Breakfast was incredible!

Price could have been a little lower but nothing else negative we can say.

Room was very clean and your Waiter in the Restaurant was great. Personality plus!! Food was also really good. Some of us had wanted the Lamb which was apparently off the Menu but we were not disappointed with our second options. Lovely to have some outside space on a sunny day to meet with some friends we hadn't seen for three years. Breakfast staff were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Well done

Female Receptionist could have been more helpful when I tried to amend my Booking and was struggling with Booking.com. I found her to be quite arrogant and bolshy. I am lucky that I worked with IT equiment a lot but for someone who is not so familiar and struggles, her attitude was not helpful, unlike the guy I eventually spoke to at Booking.com who was polite and resolved my issue quickly and efficiently.

Lovely, light and airy room, in the annex with view across the fields. Comfortable big bed and bathroom with shower and bonus of a bath. A portable fan provided was very welcome with the weather being so warm. Good continental breakfast enjoyed by the open French doors.

We were joined by two friends for Sunday lunch and were located in the dining room, which we had to ourselves. Just a small thing, we did seem to be forgotten at times. To be fair they were busy and we had been offered a table in the garden but we had opted for the coolness of the room with it being so warm outside. Friendly staff and we did enjoy the food though. Also with it being a Sunday the main house and bar closed at 6pm. therefore we did pay a visit to the pub nearby!

Friendly, efficient staff in this attractive rural hotel. Our superior double room was spacious, comfortable and stylishly appointed, with a beautiful unspoiled view across the quiet road to the horse in the field opposite. Good breakfast. Plenty of parking. Night porter for late entry. We're already trying to think of an excuse to come and stay here again!

Perhaps you could consider adding porridge to your breakfast menu?
