The staff were extremely helpful. When I arrived in Ringwood by National Express after 10pm, there was no local buses running and Taxi's were busy. No Uber's either. The hotel/bar manager (sorry, I forget her name) was very helpful and arranged for her husband (chef) to pick me up from the bus station. I'm incredibly grateful for their help. The Room was very spacious and comfortable with blackout curtains. The bed was very nice and the bathroom was also spacious. The pub downstairs (also used by non-guests) was really nice as well. Good variety of food and drinks. Tip: if arriving by public transport, ensure you arrive during the day and arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the bus stop.

Nothing that I didn't like - especially after the help and service I received when I arrived.

Lovely place to stay. Big room, with double bed, iron and ironing board. Spacious bathtub with hot shower with products provided. Good breakfast - lots of options from the pub menu attached to the hotel. View outside was of the garden. Lots of parking spaces outside. It was close (10 mins drive) from the fire and military centre where we had our pre-hospital medical training (ICC - immediate care course) organised by BASICS. It's very close to Southampton so I was able to do a bit of shopping on my long way back to Stoke.

The hotel reception closes by 11pm or midnight I think, and reopens in the morning. Therefore, if you are late and come in the middle of the night, there's no one there.

Loved the position of our room with doors opening out directly onto the extensive grounds. We had our dog with us so it was ideal for her! And only a very short drive from a lovely local nature park x There's a wide variety of breakfast choices from full English, eggs of every description, continental and cereals and pastries! and generous portions!! Dinner was delicious too x Our dogs (3 red setters, x3 families) were made very very welcome and the staff were happy, kind, friendly and welcoming x we'll all definitely re visit again! Thank you to all the team x

Slower service in the restaurant than expected. We understood this was due to staffing issues x However , this did not impact our stay too much x The staff that were there, were absolutely lovely!

Staff were lovely and atmosphere throughout hotel and restaurant was very good. generally a good standard of hotel which gave me a good overnight stay.

I was in room No.1 and the gutters outside my window was blocked so rain was overflowing all night and was quite noisy. Not a major issue but maintenance is needed. over bath shower has a sign saying that is could be slippery- thats an understatement as I found it very slippery- hotel should provide non slip suction type mats to improve safety. Pillows were very Fat and dont allow for proper head angle even when sleeping on my side. 1 or 2 Thinner pillows should be provided. Main light in the room was very dim and even with all the side lights on the room was very dark. I imagine that a woman would struggle to do her makeup etc.

Lots of choice for breakfast and a fantastic selection of fruit, pastries and hot dishes. Room is superb as the patio doors open out onto the huge woodland garden area. Lovely for dogs and also nice to sit outside the room or indeed anywhere in the garden. Fan provided in the room - very welcome in a heatwave. Really comfy bed. Plenty of storage for a few nights' stay. Staff all really friendly and helpful, and do their best to accommodate anything, including spending time trying to get me online on my phone (that didn't work, but the laptop went online ok instead). I love the actual key to the room instead of the all-too-usual keycard which often discharges itself during your stay, leaving you locked out. St Leonard's provides physical metal keys that always work! Dinner menu is pretty comprehensive and the thing I like best about it - as well as the fact they can get my steak cooked exactly how I like it! - is that everything has a calorie count on it. So I can choose healthy options, which I really enjoyed.

Very little to grumble about - in fact, nothing really! Only complaint I had this time - my second stay - is that I couldn't get through by phone to book directly, so ended up having to use Booking.com which I hadn't intended to. The manager explained the phone issues and discussed alternative ways of getting through to them directly, so that I know for next time to go onto the website and email if I cannot get through by phone.

food and staff fantastic the view from the patio doors was amazing plenty of free parking and right on the edge of the New Forest. The large bed was very comfy.

We paid £10.00 extra per night for our dog to help pay for our room to be cleaned. We stayed for a week. Our room was never cleaned we had the same sheets bedding all week we also had one large towel each for the whole week. The patio doors opened onto beautiful countryside but the full length nets and curtains were mouldy at the bottom.

good pub on site friendly staff who were great with our 3 year old clean, comfortable room clean, modern bathroom this is one of the only hotels I’ve stayed at that have actual bath sheet size towels dog friendly room options located well with amenities nearby very good black out curtains in the room

no house keeping service - ie room wasn’t tidied, beds not made once a day as you’d expect them to be - we were there two nights, room not done at all during our stay no kettle in the room - oversight I think as there were cups, tea etc just no kettle no air con (room was not warm but in height of summer May be a problem) reception was often unmanned but there was a button you could press to call so not an issue

The room was comfortable and clean. We had dinner on the evening we arrived and the food was tasty and well presented, with very cheerful and helpful staff serving. Very friendly and welcoming reception. Lovely to have a fan in the room. The soap dispenser had nice smelling soap.

A bit of noise later on when the wedding party broke up and went out into the carpark, but quickly settled. Some instructions on how to use the shower would be appreciated, however the shower was great once I worked out how to change the temperature, pressure and which showerhead was working.

Staff were helpful and friendly. There was a good range of food in the restaurant. The room was comfortable and clean. Parking was easy due to a large carpark. It was easy to get to the beach which was about 16 miles away.

We felt for the woman who was the only member of staff on duty for breakfast. Not only was she taking orders, delivering food to tables, clearing tables, restocking the buffet but she was also dealing with hotel reception. It was unreasonable and I was concerned that her working conditions were not taken into consideration by management. She was subject to some grumbles from other guests which were uncalled for as she was working her socks off.

Great for dog owners with bedrooms on the ground floor opening out through French doors onto a large lawn edge area. Again dogs allowed in parts of the eating areas. The evening food was very nice, I had two sea bass fillets with scallops in a tasty risotto, and the availability of real ales was welcome. The bedrooms were spacious and clean.

The outside areas were untidy with cigarette ends littering outside the downstairs rooms, there were overflowing rubbish bins by the entrance in the car park. The bathroom had an odd arrangement of shower heads and controls the opposite end of the bath, with one large shower head I couldn't figure out how to turn on. The basin sink taps were not user friendly and splashed me twice when turning taps off, only to turn them on more. The toilet roll holder was badly situated as the roll was knocked off whenever you sat on the toilet. Finally signing on to the wifi took me over half an hour and actually reduced my technically minded 10 year old daughter to tears in frustration. Please just supply a WiFi code and change the provider.
