Location was good, staff friendly and helpful, Cooked breakfast very good., Nice to come back in the evening and relax with a drink in the bar before heading to bed.

Everything was good, freshly cooked breakfast to order was very nice, there was also the option of cereals/yogurt etc, but I would have liked the option of a croissant even if it had been pre baked/frozen then heated through when ordered, as much as I enjoyed the cooked breakfast, sometimes its nice just to have something simple.

The room was lovely, although the large ceiling light shade could have done with a clean/dust. The bed was lovely and big and very comfortable. The staff were all absolutely lovely, very helpful and very kind. So much so that the young lady who was taking our breakfast orders let me have some of the staff instant coffee in the morning as I can not drink percolated coffee. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, my partner had a trad full English and I had the vegetarian full English, both very tasty, plenty on the plate, kept us going right through to evening time, all were cooked to order. There was a pub quiz on Friday evening, which was great fun and if I lived local I would probably attend most weeks. Everybody was very friendly and chatty.

The room was a little close to the main road, however there was secondary glazing which blocked out almost all of the road noise, it was really only a problem when the traffic got heavier In the morning, as I like a window open over night for fresh air. We ate in the pub inn on the night we arrived as the reviews we had read were very complimentary. I'm afraid, though, we were both a bit disappointed with the food. I had fish pie, which was very bland. All it needed was more seasoning, and I think seasonal veg would be better with it than salad, but that's just personal preference. My partner had fish and chips, lovely big portions, but again, the food was rather tasteless, underseasoned. Which was a real shame.

Very clean. Spacious. Staff were all kind and attentive. Dogs were welcomed and looked after. Breakfast was awesome. A near perfect stay.

The only thing is I paid for a superior room. Mainly for the coffee machine. When I phoned to confirm we had a dog we were told we had to go to a double room as they only have 4 doggy friendly rooms. This was absolutely fine and the room was perfect. I did ask for a coffee machine to be put in the room and this was agreed. It wasn’t there on arrival. We don’t like to make a fuss but this was the only thing we could fault. And it didn’t bother me at all. My partner just has to have half decent coffee!!!

We stayed last year for valentine’s also and was so impressed that we had to return again this year. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly and the choice of breakfast each day was comprehensive and cooked to perfection. So tasty! The location, for us, was also perfect being set in a quiet, picturesque village and yet just a few minutes drive in any direction and you would arrive at wonderful locations. Burley is sublime and offers famous ice cream and fudge that is to die for! Christchurch has too many attractions to list and an abundance of restaurants, bars & shops and the New Forest walks were both invigorating and soul cleansing. We have had the most beautiful valentines break and can not thank The Fisherman’s Haunt staff (and venue) enough for your huge contribution to this. We will definitely be returning at some point. Xx

The only thing I can say that we didn’t like was that after having such a wonderful time we didn’t like leaving you and was upset to go. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Everything, the location was perfect, the staff were all so friendly & welcoming, we were travelling with two dogs & were even given dog bowls & biscuits in the room for them which was such a lovely touch. The rooms were spacious & clean. Due to travelling with my partner, my mum and two dogs, for easy access all round I asked for ground floor and it couldn’t have been easier for access, it was perfect! There were lots of wardrobe and draw space too which you don’t always find. And a bonus to have a fan. Just brilliant! The food was so tasty and such a large choice at breakfast. There are so many places to sit both inside and out, with a large carpark. We will definitely be back. 😃

Nothing at all I can think of.

The room was super pretty, and so kind of the lady to make me a hot chocolate when the kitchen was closed on the evening. It was a good hot choc to have in front of the fire ! Loved the Dorset teabags in the room, Thankyou.

Such a shame that as I fell asleep there was a group of ladies who had a really good night, bounced up the stairs and stomped around above for about an hour keeping me awake, I guess they didn't realise theres other people who would love a good night's sleep undisturbed , just for one night away from our children! That's not the fisherman's haunts fault though. Our bed was super comfy, the bathroom was pretty, lovely and toasty warm when we got back after our meal out. And then our breakfast was tasty and perfect! Room 5 needs a good dust in places as I am a home help myself I notice these things, would come back to stay if ever in the area again and will recommend. Gorgeous happy place.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was delicious. We had problems getting up the stairs to our room and they offered us a ground floor one.

Although the room itself was nice, and the shower exceptional, it was cold. Unfortunately the weather hadn't been great, which obviously isn't the hotel's fault, but it made spending time in the room unpleasant. We asked about the heating, but were told the boiler had been switched off for the summer.

What a beautiful place! The reception staff were friendly and professional. After checking in, the young lady showed us to our lovely room. Room was cosy, warm, tastefully decorated and clean. Attention to detail noted, from box of tissues, coasters for cups and little plastic cup to put water into iron. Room 3 has double aspect windows with beautiful blinds and curtains. No noise from the road and lovely view. Breakfast was excellent and the staff seem to understand what good customer service is. We would love to return. Thank you.

Nothing.

We had such a friendly welcome from the staff here. Our room was really cosy and the bed was comfortable. We were supplied with tea and coffee and biscuits and water. Great location to be close to Bournemouth and the new forest. Breakfast was fab too! We were sad to only have stayed here for one night.

Shower took ages to heat up and pressure wasn’t great, but it’s not a massive issue. We could also hear the people in the room opposite us who were quite noisy but luckily we had earplugs.

We stayed for a 1 night stay a lovely warm welcome stayed in room 7 Beautiful Decor very comfortable bed , and spotlessly clean everything you needed was thought of .The Pub it self is as spotless as the rooms. We had a small dinner due to a large Lunch ! We enjoyed the meal with good friendly service . Breakfast was extremely good, friendly service, a good choice , I had the best smashed Avocado and poached eggs ever , my Husband had a full English which was Large and Delicious and presented Beautifully. Fisherman’s Haunt is a real gem , Hope to return.

We did feel the menu could have been a bit more exciting , offer more fresh fish as being so close to the sea .
