Great location, slightly faded glory but really nice staff doing a great job overall.

I was surprised to see service charges on a bar bill, for drinks which I had purchased at the bar! This left a bad taste probably more damaging to the business than 3quid was worth.

The room was very nice and should have been considering the high room per night rate! The linens/bed were good. The view from the Garden room was lovely. It was very quiet. It was nice and warm. There was plentiful hot water, again only to be expected.

The hotel seemed very short staffed which is terrible given the high room rate. One chap seemed to do everything. He worked extremely hard. There were no rails or holds to assist in getting into the shower. The magnifying mirror was broken and useless. Breakfast was OK, but the service was VERY slow and the waiter was the chef as well. For £17.00 a head I would expect better. One of the staff members had been drafted in from another hotel as they were so short staffed. Disappointing.

The hotel is located on beautiful grounds, surrounded by deer and greenery. The building is gorgeous and the decor and furniture is carefully curated and in keeping with the style and era. The room was quiet, spacious and felt cozy. The bathroom had a selection of toiletries and we were provided with plenty of fresh towels. Good water pressure and hot water on demand. Breakfast was good and although there was a limited selection of items, they were all freshly made and tasty. The staff was welcoming, polite and catered to all our needs. The receptionist in particular was very helpful and assisted me with a personal problem I was facing. The hotel was clean and tidy and the grounds were beautifully kept.

Some of the furniture in the restaurant area was a bit tired. Some minor maintenance issues were present in some areas (damp/peeling walls).

A beautiful hotel that could be amazing. Lack of staff meant that several guests decided that the 10 minute plus wait for a member of staff at the bar was too much and walked to the local pub. The staff that were on duty however in the main were amazing except for one gentleman who looked like he had been forced to work there for community service. We will definitely be back as the location, surroundings and beauty of the building is fantastic.

location great overlooking the deer park. within walking distance to the little village of Burley. The food was amazing.

if you book without the breakfast included option you have to wait until everyone has checked in who has chosen breakfast included . They choose their time slots before you can and you have the choice of times that are left.

Fabulous location, really attentive and friendly staff, food excellent very clean and extremely comfortable beds, good quality tea and coffee in room

As mentioned as an observation not a complaint to the very knowledgeable and welcoming receptionist the only thing that let it down were the windows in the room were rotten draughty and black with deterioration with wobbly catches and the decking wood outside was very tired and needed maintenance. She assured me that would be checked and welcomed the observation.

Very nice hotel in a lovely New Forest setting. Check-in was swift and friendly and reception covered everything before I needed to ask any questions. Staff throughout my stay were excellent ambassadors for the hotel. Having booked both the restaurant and breakfast, the food is worthy of a special mention - good to eat, well presented and I left feeling it had been very fiarly priced relative to it's high quality. Although I had the benefit of winter pricing, the room is befitting of the price paid; my experience was of a spottlesly clean, very well presented room and although I didn't take advanatge of them all, it had the sort of nice attention to detail that made me smile. I would defintely stay at Burley Manor again, and would have no qualms about recommending it to others.

I know I say this in a lot of my reviews but I really couldn't find anything to fault; there wasn't so much as anything I could nit-pick.

Burley Manor was full of character. The public areas provided many comfortable places to sit and enjoy the views of trees, parkland and deer. The staff were all exceptionally helpful and attentive to the needs of guests.

Whilst the old fashioned decor is an essential part of the character of the place , the particular bedroom I stayed in needed a freshen up in terms it’s drab colour, tired soft furnishings and broken blind which gave an unfair first impression of what turned out to be a lovely hotel.

The hotel was beautiful with ornate fireplaces and wooden carved stairways and it was very easy to walk into Burley. I booked a single room - I think called the snug. It is honestly the nicest single room I have ever stayed in. Peaceful and quiet. Really comfortable bed and power shower. I loved the old fashioned telephone in the room and the Dotti Biscotti biscuits were a lovely touch. (I ate them all as they were so nice). I had breakfast in the conservatory which overlooked some of the countryside. As it was January, the frost made it look very pretty. A special thank you to Harriet, who ran up 3 flights of stairs to bring me some fresh milk for my tea and was lovely for my whole stay, as were all the other staff

Absolutely nothing and would love to stay again sometime
