Requested the day before for a 1st floor room due to an injured knee, which they kindly gave me and an upgrade too. Right opposite where the annual fairy festival takes place, so perfect place to stay. Helpful staff, nice room with coffee, tea and biscuits, plus 2 bottles of water. Breakfast nice and had gluten free bread option available. . This is my 3rd year staying here for the festival. Nice menu too and recommend eating here as had a bad experience at the pub just round the corner from there!

Only minor and personal preference, the mattress was just a bit too soft for me.

Everything about the Burley Inn was truly wonderful! The charming location, with “wild” horses walking by, the hands on owner, the staff (big shout out to hands on Manager Lucy!), the charming dining room (open to the public 7 days a week for breakfast, lunch & dinner, with daily specials), the authentic English menu (including the Full English breakfast, which is included!), the friendly & attentive service, the cleanliness of the room & the dining room, the modern bathroom (walk-in shower) - everything made us want to extend our stay & return, so we highly recommend it to others! You will not be disappointed!

There was nothing we did not like, or thought could be improved upon. And I’m quite picky.

We ate lunch and breakfast at the Burley inn that was very good. The room size was quite small as was the bathroom and there was a lot of stairs to get to the room, however it was clean and tidy with nice fresh towels and bedding. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful

I didn’t realise the rooms were going to be quite so small or sloppy, we were on the top floor and I understand the rooms on the floor down are bigger which would have been better for me as a knee replacement makes stairs a bit awkward. However that wasn’t the fault of the Burley inn I should have requested that.

A lovely village located in the heart of the New Forest with reasonably good access to many points of interest. The hotel is positioned in the very centre of the village. Plenty of on site free parking. Food served throughout day to 8.30. No amenities used by me other than restaurant. Breakfast menu small but included full English.

I chose the single room option. It was on second floor with steepish narrow staircase. This could he a problem for guests with heavy luggage. There is no lift. Floor space around the single bed was very limited. Being a motorcyclist I found the storage space for protective clothing and helmet non-existent. The wardrobe was of limited space. I would recommend that all but essentials be left in the car and that a motorcyclist use a different room option. I cannot comment on other rooms. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would choose a larger room option in future.

I didn’t know what to expect when I booked but was totally surprised and satisfied after my stay. The welcome on arrival from all the staff I happened to speak with (after a 5 hour journey) was lovely and I felt very welcome. The room was on the top floor, very clean and comfortable. The bathroom even looked brand new but was just very well maintained. Everything worked as expected or better and was clean. Breakfast was brilliant. The food was consistently delicious every day of my stay and the waitress was great, remembering what I liked and was attentive and helpful.

A balanced review should highlight things that were not so good or needed improving but I am afraid over my three night stay everything and everyone was lovely. Usually in some hotels you find stuff that has worn out or needs cleaning but all was good here.

The staff were great and very helpful. We had a good breakfast but didn't eat dinner there so don't know about that. The pub has free parking for guests which is very useful indeed. Our room was clean and comfortable and we were able to swap from one which had a rather loud machine (fan/generator?) going outside the window. In the event we were only able to stay one night due to terrible weather.

Everything was fine. Did what it said on the tin! It was quite expensive for a pub B+B, though having said that the price included breakfast and everywhere in the New Forest is expensive, even out of season.

Marina, was the waitress on duty both morning, she was friendly, competent and catered for all our breakfast requirements. Breakfast was delicious, I’m Gluten Free and this was catered for….

We requested a twin room, as I was travelling with my friend. Unfortunately the only twin room was up 3 flights of stairs!!! Both my friend and myself have some mobility issues. But all staff were very helpful in carrying our bags to our room on arrival.

The welcome we received on arrival. The hosts were very thoughtful, nothing was too much for them. Their staff were brilliant too. Perfect position in the New Forest, a lovely village setting, very quaint.

Our room in the rafters was accessed by three flights of stairs! Would have been less of a struggle with a lift. We appreciate the age of the building so we forgive. We have a thing about bathrooms without windows, but saying that the on-suite was tastefully done.

Excellent breakfast - probably the best English we've had. Everything was cooked fresh and was very tasty. The staff were so friendly and helpful even after an unfortunate incident that meant we had to move rooms after a couple of nights. There was no fuss and the move was very smooth and second room felt like an upgrade. Marvellous service. The main menu was good pub grub.

Can't think of anything to be honest.

This is the second time we have been back to the Burley Inn this time I took my parents and they loved it as much as we did so much so we can't wait to book again for next year. Once your all settled in you really don't want to leave. It's Homley, the staff are wonderful, the rooms are just right, the little village is beautiful, the building it's self is beautiful, the food is so good, and the atmosphere is just so special it makes you feel part of the family. Very clean and tidy, our rooms got cleaned every day beds where made and fresh towels if we needed them. Tea, coffee station was restocked every day. If we come back to Burley at any time we would stay nowhere else. And if we couldn't get a room we would reschedule our trip. See you all again next year Burley in and thankyou you for another amazing stay.

There wasn't anything we didn't like apart from time went to quickly and the weekend was over before we was ready to leave.
