St Brides Spa Hotel

Overall a really beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The public areas eg bar, restaurant and spa were absolutely lovely (11 out of 10!!)

The rooms were a bit average. We asked to be moved from our first room which was small and by the lift. The second room was much nicer but the oblique view of the sea and bay could have been better. It may be worth paying extra for a real full on view. The restaurant served lovely meals (fairly expensive) and the food was excellent. However service in the evening did feel a bit as if we were being rushed through and for £150 for two (including wine) this should not have been the case

We were really disappointed the vegan food, it was incredibly overpriced what we had, the options for dinner wee dated and few, the actual meals were not to the standard you would expect for a hotel rate of £265 per night and the breakfast was shockingly bad .. like really really bad ..

Access to the spa daily was a huge bonus! The spa was lovely and the view from the hydro pool was outstanding! The facilities in the spa were brilliant! The restaurant food in the evening was delicious, especially the soup. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the lamb.

Although there was plenty to choose from for breakfast, the English breakfast could be better! Personally, I am not a fan of thick cut bacon and the sausages were grainy. I also had shell in my scrambled egg..a noticeable amount! My husband enjoyed it though. The bedroom floor was not cleaned daily! Plenty of sand ended up in the bed. When asked to clean, the staff did.

Price of food was set too high. The bar added surcharges on top of drinks for service even if you went to the bar. Very annoying.

Location with excellent views. Easy parking. Friendly staff. Enjoyable infinity pool overlooking Saundersfoot. Very good lunch and breakfast experience.

Bed and pillows not so comfortable.

Fantastic views, nice big room, very comfortable bed, lovely staff, good breakfast. Lots of thoughtful extras like the huge DVD list you can borrow for free to watch in your room, and fresh milk provided for coffee or tea in the room fridge. Really nice restaurant with a beautiful ambiance and good food, as well as excellent coffee at breakfast. Altogether a special place!

Sometimes we could hear the guests in other rooms quite clearly when in our room, but this never ended up being a problem that disturbed us — it could do, though, if you had particularly loud neighbours. The spa pool is tiny and you’ll share it with quite a few other people, so it’s just a relaxing place to enjoy the view, but definitely not suitable for actual swimming.

2 single beds had been requested rather than what was provided.- 2 singles joined together Nearer to lift as walking to the end of a corridor was difficult- had requested being near lift Breakfast was disappointing re quality of bacon and sausage

Lovely view from our room, looking out to the sea and coastline. Had a great time relaxing in the outdoor pool although we didn't use any of the other Spa facilities except the sauna and relaxation room. Meals were gorgeous. Great food for dinner and the breakfast was very extensive with plenty of choices. All the staff we encountered were friendly and very helpful. Our luggage was taken up to our room by a member of the Reception team whilst we chilled in the bar area. All the public areas were very clean and well maintained.

Spa, food and view amazing! Ordered flowers for my wife which were lovely. Nice touch of card in room and birthday sweet during dinner. Staff in restaurant were fab too.

Reception, wasn’t brilliant as one lady wasn’t too helpful and a little rude when we enquired about checking in 30 mins early. Also, wasn’t aware of hotel offering the bed, breakfast and dinner deal. Also, was going to order champagne for the room but when asked if ok to bottle in the restaurant was informed no, which I don’t understand logic. But an amazing hotel.

The ambience, decoration, comfort, staff, location were all superb. The Spa was wonderful. The massage was expensive for the 10 mins received I felt. The room was great, lovely layout and the beds very comfortable, but the view from the window was very limited and I therefore felt it was a little bit expensive.

The breakfast was excellent in terms of choice, service, view from the room etc. Very pleased to have Gluten Free bread and toast available easily. However, I would have liked a greater choice of fruit and yogurt. The full breakfast was so perfect and 'fat free' that is was a little bit lacking in flavour. This is an ultra critical thing as everything was 99.9% perfect really.
