We have been to the Seaham area several times and this is the best place we have stayed. The room was small but had ample storage so didn't feel too small. The room was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was of ample size and the large shower with rain type shower head was invigorating. The breakfast was outstanding and the staff very friendly and helpful.
The room was a little chilly the first night and we couldn't figure out how to adjust the temperature. The next night was very comfortable.

We stayed one night and had breakfast and dinner at the property. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom. The food was great quality, both at dinner and breakfast. I really appreciated the fact the menu included many British classics - porridge, eggs Benedict/Florentine, full English breakfast, mince and dumplings, pies, fish and chips, sticky toffee pudding, etc. Bobbie and her colleagues were welcoming and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. We needed a late check out and that was arranged for a very small fee. The Inn and its restaurant are pet friendly.
After a little while, and especially when the heating was on, you could smell a pet had been a guest in the room at some point in the past. The smell was pungent and, while it wasn't necessarily a deal breaker for us, it could be an issue for others.

Everything was brilliant, the room was spotless and spacious and ideally located. The food both evening and mmorning was excellent and the staff in the bar were brilliant. friendly, approachable, chatty and knowledgeable. Nothing was to much for them. Also we loved the doggy station in the bar, as a dog owner I find taking our puppy with us quite stressful and I worry that he's been a pain but everyone was brilliant with him!
that we had only booked for the one night!

We stayed two nights on a cycling holiday. The location was just off the rail-trail so very convenient for safe cycling. Also very handy that meals were available in the pub as well. What we really liked was we were given the option to forego our rooms being made-up between our two nights in exchange for a free drink in the pub/restaurant. Also the included breakfast was better than most bed and breakfast options. Hope to stay there again on a future cycle tour. They were able to safely store our bikes in a locked compound (although still exposed to the weather).

The staff were all lovely and very helpful. The whole place was very clean and nicely decorated. The bedroom itself had plenty of storage space, and the bedding was of good quality. The beds were quite comfortable. The bathroom appeared quite new and was spotless with good towels. There was plenty of free parking.
The bedroom was dark even with every light on, and as the window looked out to an area where people were passing and also into the dining area, the curtains couldn't be opened. This made it difficult to see at the dressing table mirror to dry hair etc. There was no storage at all in the bathroom. I felt that the breakfast selection of cereal, teas, etc was quite poor.

Me and my 5 year old and 6 year old daughters stayed overnight on Saturday 29th April due to attending a dance comp the next morning. We arrived at roughly 4.30pm and a really lovely lady welcomed us and checked us in. Nice and quick, even though it was quite busy in the restaurant part for people having evening meals she made sure we were seen to quick and explained everything. We were in the anex building in a family room, absolutely beautiful room, so clean and comfortable. The shower was amazing too! My girls loved their bunk beds! We had evening meal in the restaurant/bar and it was beautiful, they provided colouring books and activities for my daughter's to keep them occupied. Our overnight stay was lovely so comfortable and quiet. The next morning we went for breakfast and my daughters were all dressed ready for their dance comp and the staff made extra effort to make them excited asking all about their outfits and made my oldest daughter so happy that she got to show the lady a picture of her dance suit! Breakfast was beautiful, again nothing to fault. We are really looking forward to booking here again.
Nothing.

Great location. Good carpark. Lovely decor, gorgeous bar and restaurant!! Staff were all fantastic!! Particularly Lloyd and Callum, they were both fab!! Couldn’t have been any more helpful or accommodating. Thanks guys you made our stay so special!
Could have been a little bit cleaner in the room (just in need of a dust on lamps etc…). Nothing big just a small observation.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The accessible room was a good size. We liked the idea that you need key access to get into the area for the bedrooms. The breakfast was very good and you had a good choice.
The beds were a bit small if you are a tall person. The seat in the accessible room shower was at a slight slope and became slippery when soapy, so it would be very easy to slide off if you had limited leg strength

Nice pleasant hotel, reasonably priced particularly as it included breakfast. Check in staff were welcoming and informative. Beds were comfortable. All in all a pleasant stay.
Room was a bit dark; the shower pressure wasn’t great. There was no explanation as to how breakfast worked in the morning (you had to order cooked breakfast at the bar which wasn’t immediately apparent). We dined in the restaurant in the evening and when we tried to use the link corridor to return to our rooms, the door was locked and we had to go outside to get back in which was a bit odd.

Lovely restaurant and bar, both incredibly dog friendly which made our stay even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money, will definitely look into other hotels in this group.
Cooking was a bit erratic, sometimes very good other times a bit less so. On the last morning we had to wait 40 mins for breakfast which was a bit too long as we were under time pressure. But this was a minor issue in an otherwise excellent stay.
