The train station is an easy walk from the hotel. The staff were fantastic and made it really easy to check in. Access to the room was straightforward and well secured. The room was clean and well-equipped. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower was one of the best I’ve used in a hotel. The Wi-Fi was fantastic. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in Sheffield!

Nothing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and size of the room. Being above a pub you can never be sure what you're going to arrive to. We were in a room with a double and a single bed but there was still plenty of room to walk around. There was a fan in the room which was perfect as it was a little warm in the room. The staff were excellent. Friendly, knowledgeable and approachable they actually asked if they could help to make recommendations for local pubs / places to visit, or if there was anything else we needed. I asked for extra tea and coffee supplies and they provided me with them immediately. They couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome.

Whilst it really didn't bother us, and is to be expected when you're staying above a pub, the bins being moved and banged about in the pub garden the next morning woke us up.... we were having a lovely lie in though so as I say, it didn't bother us but thought it worth mentioning so as not to be a surprise for future guests.

I think the location is fine, walkable distance into town. Sheffield is full of ups and down hills so be fully prepared for this. The vibes at the pub was chill and cozy, nice place to chill and unwind. The place is relatively clean and affordable. Overall great stay, TV was working well. The surroundings are quiet and chill.

The beds and pillow are really soft. The curtains in my room are held by a broken wooden stick but it works just that it can be clunky and fell on me once. You have to walk up a flight of stairs to get to the rooms.

The hotel is in a characterful, old pub building. The room was spacious and had lots of colourful pictures on the walls. There were ensuite facilities and a hospitality-tray. The bed was comfortable, with a firm mattress. Staff were kind and helpful. The room had a nice, big window which allowed plenty of natural daylight into the room !

The lock on the bedroom door jammed and I had to ask for help. The fact that there was no breakfast became more inconvenient than I had, at first, expected !

The hotel was lovely, simple, clean and easily accessible. Even though I was in one of the rooms facing the road, it was quiet and easy to have a lie in. The staff is amazing, lovely and very helpful. There is a lovely pub downstairs with a great selection of pints. There's a cafe right across the road as well which is very handy for getting a morning coffee.

Nothing I can think of

The rooms are above a pub. We’ve stayed here before and both times the accommodation has been clean and the beds comfy. The staff are lively and friendly. Check-in is flexible & check-out not til 11am

No food available in the pub. Last time they had pies which was a lifesaver after a 200 mile drive! Also there is no free parking. We paid to park on the street til 8.30pm & then had to get up to feed the meter again at 8am. There was a traffic warden hanging around and issued a penalty notice to someone.

The pub downstairs was lovely. I was apprehensive before we went, but it was welcoming, clean, friendly and not too rowdy. I also had no trouble with noise when I went to bed earlier than everyone else. The rooms were great for what we needed and the shower was perfect. Just remember to change your heating setting before you leave, as we forgot and the room was very cold when we got back in the evening - but that was our mistake.

It's a nice little b&b but without the breakfast. A spacious enough room but the bed mattress was ready to be changed, it was completely done and too soft and creaky. A fabulous pub downstairs with local cask ales and several other draft ales, all great quality and not the usual offerings. Friendly staff.

As stated, the bed wasn't good quality anymore, no support for the back. There's a nursery next door, and the windows are so thin you will hear a lot of related noise between 8am and 5pm. The pub terrace chatter will also be very audible to the rooms if you are there in the evening as some of the tables are right outside the room windows. Not many breakfast options nearby but there is a superb cafe across street, and a sandwich cafe two blocks away, you'll manage.

Location is quiet, room was a good size, the pub downstairs serves some lovely beers! While there is no breakfast available here, the Hampton hotel is 50m away and allows walk-ins for breakfast at ~11quid per person.

nowhere to drop bags in the morning due to the "reception" being the bar in the pub downstairs thats only open after midday. No availability of anything for breakfast and no fridge to store my own goods for breakfast.

We came for a festival over the weekend and found this little inn and what a find indeed! (It was by chance but I took all the credits none less) In terms of location, the Crow Inn is pretty central, with the cathedral literally right around the corner and therefore at reaching distance to most things. In terms of value for money, I doubt one could fair much better than this: clean, comfortable, quiet, free internet, excellent showers and overall pretty cozy. What more would one want? (try to say that 10 times). And the place is really cute. As per the staff, they were all friendly and really made us feel genuinely welcome. I recommend this little humble gem unreservedly. P.S. the bar offers an interesting selection of beers.

Please note that there are no parking valets or bell boys and they have quite a few stairs. If this is an issue for you, then avoid. You’d be moaning all the time and do everybody else’s head in.
