Great location and nice room. Check in staff lovely. 12pm check out was a welcome bonus.

Breakfast was a mess. Ran out of bacon and eggs at peak time and the wait was over 15 mins for these to be replaced. Guests queuing and exasperated. Major fail - stressy start to the day. Made worse by then witnessing a supervisor snap at and humiliate 2 of the young waiting staff in front of everyone. Customers don’t want to see this, please treat people with respect.

Room was excellent, hotel in ideal position. Staff at reception and bar were helpful, polite and cheerful. Room clean and fresh, good view. Room rates £199.... Booking. Com around £70, if booked in advance.. Wouldn't bother with the breakfast, it was poor.

Breakfast wasn't that good, extortionate price Coffee machine malfunctioned, one didn't work at all, toast machine was on the wrong settings, I managed to alter the settings so it worked as it should, had to ask for more bread, staff clueless and kept disappearing when customers were in need. Very poor service. Chef and his colleagues spent more time have a smoke around the corner. Steam room had tiles missing, needs a bit of TLC.

Great central location, friendly staff . Very decent breakfast.

The room was a little tired, and plain. Our room key kept losing its ‘charge’ so we had to go back to reception to get it reset. £20 for 2 G&Ts in the bar is a little bit steep.

The help desk staff might need more training. As there’s a sofa bed in my room, while I had a zoom meeting on the other day and requested for returning the sofa bed to become a sofa, the help desk staff mentioned from the hotel phone call that they cannot make it as it just can’t 😅 anyway, the house keeping staff is very nice, I left them a hand writing note on the bed and they made it for me, so I won’t have a funny background when doing a zoom meeting with my client 😂😂

It was very clean! There were no odours. It was quiet. The pool though small was clean and people well behaved. The staff smiled and were non judgemental when I was struggling, like spilling coffee or not being able to fill in a form for the pool. The staff helped me. The music in the lobby and breakfast restaurant was very calming. Not like the noisy music you get in most modern restaurants. This was appreciated.

The lifts were confusing, there’s 1 lift to reception from the carpark and then you have to walk to a second lift. I wasn’t sure what floor my room was, it wasn’t obvious that the room number is also the floor, so started with a 3. I was probably told this but I don’t take everything in when I arrive. So would be good to have a guide for room numbers in the lift. Would also be good to have floor 1 labelled ‘reception’. Only comment about staff is that cleaners could be more patient with me coming to the door before they open it. They were apologetic and friendly.

Location is great for city centre visits. Right next to the hotel are a car park, a local supermarket, and a bus stop. We chose it as our daughter was participating in a swimming event at Ponds Forge, which is just a 10 minute walk away. The breakfast assortment was great and included full English and continental options, as well as good selection of fresh fruit. The swimming pool and wellness suite is a good place to relax.

The rooms may benefit from a bit of refreshment. No air conditioning which may be an issue in summer. A bit of noise coming from the street upon opening the window (to deal with missing air conditioning). Slightly overpriced IMO.

Very welcoming from the front desk staff to the cleaning staff. The bar/restaurant was lovely very tastefully designed. The meal I had was excellent and well worth the money. Good interactions with all staff. The room was spotless, good size, and had the facilities I required, including a mini fridge. Check in and check out very smooth process.

Just a little note, when dealing with customers, not everyone likes being called madam. I found it patronising, I'm afraid. The bar man constantly called me this. I realise it may be business policy, but it feels not as friendly as formal. No other staff did this, and it made you feel more listened to and friendly. Only a thought, not a criticism.

Can't wait to stay again. Had a great stay. The location - excellent - right in the city centre of Sheffield. The staff were friendly, cheerful and efficient. The facilities are very good - restaurant (delicious food), room service, car park, swimming pool, gym, spacious bar etc... The room was basic but nice (no draws, though) very comfortable bed.

Had a wonderful stay overall. There was nothing that I disliked that would stop me from staying again or recommending the hotel. Suggestion - put some draws in the room. There's plenty of room.

Great location, it is in the middle of the Sheffield Millennium Square so can have a stroll in the peace and winter garden. It is also walking distance to the Lyceum theatre if you are going there. Also near a lot of amenities and restaurants which is a great bonus if you do not want to eat in their own restaurant. Easter egg for the kids was a great touch. The pool was good even though a bit small but did not seem too crowded as we tend to go there on times when not too busy. Great staff, accommodated my sister's allergy menu which was good.

The changing room was too small even for a small pool like that, you need a bit more space to get changed. It would be good if it can be improved but can't see a space to do that. Another comment is that the parking fee was too expensive although it is onsite and looks secure, it should have been included in the price or at a reduced price. The breakfast is also a bit too expensive for the choices and they do not refill it straight away when finished. No more eggs or sausages when we got there and took awhile to refill.

I highly appreciated the hospitality demonstrated by the reception staff. Always went out of their way to make sure my 10 days stay in the hotel was enjoyable. I did not regret my choice of accommodation in Sheffield.

Nothing significant, I felt like the hotel staff were doing their best, given the fact that the world is just recovering from the aftereffects of the pandemic. However, I didn't get any information about whether the hotel offered laundry services for customers staying for more than a week. That would really help.
