The hotel itself has got an amazing location. It always smelled clean and fresh walking around the hotel and its halls. The staff were on hand 24/7 which helped when we needed towels at odd times of the day! The room itself is comfortable, on the small side but mostly clean - there were a few stains (one on the ceiling and one on the wall) but no where near the bedding/bed.

There is no chair or table in the room to put things on. The tv is so high up the wall you cannot really watch it without have neck ache. There is also no tea and coffee in the room as it states, but it mentioned there’s a machine downstairs - it wasn’t working when we were there so no hot drinks unfortunately. It was slightly on the pricier side for what you got but we did come when it was a festival so obviously the prices went up.

Reception staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful! I had an issue with the lights in my room and someone came up to help within an hour or so ^.^ Also, I felt pretty safe in the hotel as a solo traveller (although the area outside of the hotel is a different story 😂).

Noisy neighbours but that's normal/expected wherever you travel. The volume was especially bad in the corridor bit outside the rooms. Also, I know that you can pay extra for rooms with windows but, I just found it a bit odd that it wasn't the norm for all rooms to have it anyway. Might be a UK thing though (?)

The first receptionist was absolutely brilliant. She is a credit to the company. However sadly I cannot remember her name.

I had a problem with the rooms heating, it was constantly blowing cold air out and very loud and noisy. I went down to reception about this problem and it went down hill from there! The second receptionist was not helpful, he was constantly sat in the back room on his room, he showed no interest in getting the problem resolved. After the 4th time of going down to reception to complain the room is freezing and the air vent is making a very loud noise he finally come up to the room, just to say he can't do anything because the maintenance man has put a password on the heating system and he can't do anything. He did not offer to move me rooms or try and resolve the problem in any way! The TV had hardly any channels it kept saying no signal.

The room was really clean and modern! The shower was lovely and warm also. The staff were super friendly at check in. Can't recommend enough! Amazing price for the service. The location is great, walkable distance to everything you may need!

The bathroom has a glass door. Of course, the middle chunk of the door is covered but the top and bottom and clearly glass. Definitely not an issue for a couple or close friends but could be a little awkward if you're not very close with your companion. I shared the room with my partner so it wasn't a problem for us but something to keep in mind!

Location is central. Reduced parking.

Paid extra to go into room early, it was not ready as missing towels and someone smoked in there and there was some kind of air filter running. The staff did solve this. Glass screen to toilet/ shower was part frosted in the middle section so only share if you know the people you're with. Would have been nice if there was a kettle and drinks. I know there's a machine in the entrance that you pay for, but it's not a great comfort when you're in your night clothes chilling.

The hotel is within easy parking locations. By the time I arrived from Scotland it was after 9pm and I found free parking outside St James Street till 8am next day and 5 minutes walk from hotel. The beds and pillows were firm enough and the bedding was appropriate for the weather and crispy clean.

There was no floor mats in the bathroom and the glass door is not a tight shut so when taking a shower moisture went into the room and when using the toilet, smells escapes .

The hotel is located at a prime place which is a positive. The room and bathroom are exceptionally clean, facilities are satisfactory for the amount of money paid and the staff is very courteous.

I appreciate that every additional luxury requires money, but what I miss most is the facility to make your own tea/coffee in the room. For someone getting up really early and needing bed tea or coffee, it is a hassle to go all the way down to get one. If this is provided, it will further enhance it.

Location was great as at swimming event, partnering with car park to allow discount was great too. The rooms are small but they are great for what wee needed snd for short stays perfect the cleanest of the hotel was spot on really impressed. Better than sone more expensive hotels I have stayed in.

I would have liked more pillows there was only one per person as well as disappointed only one large towel for two people. No hand towel or second towel for shower

It was central for where I needed to be and I could walk there from the station easily. The bed was comfortable and the facilities as described.

There was no kettle in the room (although I knew that in advance) and the room was very small (again I knew that in advance). It was fine for 1 but not sure how a second person was meant to get out of bed to use the bathroom in the night if needed. There was no breakfast option - again I knew in advance.

The staff were lovely Kellie in particular (thank you). The shower was amazing as was the closeness of the tram,buses and shops etc. The vending machine in the reception takes cash and cards most things are £1.20, the tea and coffee machine was good but was out o order for the rest of the stay. Happy to supply extra towels and pillows. The tram stops almost outside but you don't really hear it from the rooms. You are able to get food etc delivered as the are no facilities in the hotel or the rooms.

The shower as mentioned was great but the actual cubical was quite small. The tap was Ill placed in a very small sink quite hard to wash your face with the tap in the way. The side of our mattress was ripped and the coils exposed which I caught my leg on. The duvet was quite noisy when turning over etc. We had some young noisy neighbours on their way in but they soon settled down.
