Exceptional service that went above and beyond all expectations! I booked a room for a romantic getaway as part of my partner's birthday weekend, so messaged the hotel in advance to let them know that we may arrive a little early. On arrival we were told that they were giving us a complementary upgrade, and when we went up to our room we were utterly delighted to find that there was a birthday card and chocolate for my partner. The staff had also arranged our towels in the shape of a tiered birthday cake, and scattered some rose petals. We were absolutely blown away by our experience, and will definitely be returning for future special occasions.

I asked for a room with a view to the gardens at the front, knowing it was a room superior to my booking. I was told they would accommodate me if they could. Didn't really expect anything but when I checked in the lovely lady at reception said they had upgraded me as I was staying four nights. They didn't know but me and other members of my family were here for a funeral and the Peace Gardens are a family favourite. The hotel is very new and so everything was in excellent condition and the room had everything you could need and all the staff I did interact with were very good. Used the bar one night and it was nice, a great space for a get together. I didn't book breakfast as we had lots of family things on but paid to go the last morning. It was all very nice but I'm a vegan and the choice wasn't great for me. The coffee was a machine and only had cows milk, no vegan substitutes for eggs, sausage or bacon in the hot choice and pastries etc were a no go so for me, it was a waste of ÂŁ17. My brother and his wife enjoyed it though.

The breakfast was no good for a vegan.

The staff were really nice! Helped if I had questions. The room was a great size and had all amenities needed. Water is always a good touch. The hotel is in an excellent area when visiting Sheffield. The views from the windows on a frosty day was of the old town hall and peace gardens. It smells really nice in the corridors and rooms. I really liked the amenities hidden behind doors too. We only stayed a night so didn’t use anything other than the room really and the bed was very comfy!

I would have preferred the higher floor but I’m sure they would have changed it if we had asked. Could probably do with a little more character inside because the building outside is beautiful. The rooms and bedding are very simple. Suited to business rather than pleasure I feel. Because the room was big and it was cold outside, it took a while to warm up. The light fitting fell off but I would expect this as a snagging issue in a brand new hotel. The fridge rocked because the feet were not on correctly but again I think if we had mentioned it, the staff would have helped.

Newly refurbished property, ideally situated beside the Peace Gardens. Bed was very comfy and bathroom is well laid out. Breakfast was quite extensive and imaginative, with lots of pastries, muffins, cakes, cheese etc. on top of the usual cereals, yoghurt and English breakfast. There were even smoothies and Virgin Marys (spiced tomato juice) offered on Sunday morning. Breakfast is served until a very social 11am (so none of the usual 8.55am panic).

The "gardens" side of the building is close to a clock that chimes every 15 minutes - it's not too bad, but it might annoy some people. The scrambled egg was a bit "mushy". They still use the annoyingly tiny juice glasses like cheap hotels! Some of the signage is a bit confusing (esp. that there's two Receptions, but they only use the one on the Lower Ground floor now).

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic hotel in Sheffield, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The location is ideal—right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore everything Sheffield has to offer. The modern and impeccably clean decor added a touch of luxury, while the price made it an incredible value for the quality provided. Special mention must go to Amy and Graham at the front desk, who were not only professional but also incredibly helpful and welcoming. They set the tone for a truly exceptional stay and Graham went above and beyond multiple times when it came to accommodating a member of our party with mobility issues. Lesley from housekeeping was equally attentive and upheld the high standards of friendliness and professionalism that seemed to define every staff member there. The bar and restaurant staff, Revati and Aabhineet, were outstanding. Their service was impeccable, and they created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. Honestly, they’ve set the bar incredibly high for any future hotels I visit! And to top it all off in the morning there was an exceptional breakfast spread ready and waiting for me before the long journey home. Overall, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. If you’re visiting Sheffield, strongly recommend this hotel. I will definitely be returning! Finally, if you meet Connie, she likes spider webs - long story!

The room was a decent size and the shower was really large. The staff were really helpful in trying to sort out an issue with the heating (there was none/very little) although it appeared that the issue was more likely a system/thermostat fault.

The fact that there were no instructions on how to set the thermostat in the room - and it isn't obvious how to switch it on let alone set it to heat or cool. In the end looks like there was a fault anyway. PS only manufacturers instructions we could find on the Internet were in Spanish. Also no instructions on how to operate TV which seemed to require you to switch on Netflix and then go back into the TV programmes if you want to watch anything. So please put some written instructions in the rooms - not everything is obvious for everyone and the QR information link is limited at best.

Loved the hotel , room and location of this restaurant. The staff I encountered ( check in / checkout / bar staff ) were friendly and helpful and the bar is stunning ( overlooked the Christmas markets giving a wonderful view- pity about the rain . In summer it will be awesome . The bar staff were friendly but service was slow but once we had our drink was of an excellent standard ( cocktails ) - pricey but as you come to expect in hotels but more staff needed to speed service up . I would definitely stay here again as it was fantastic location , great price and excellent quality .

Speed of bar service - only one waitress on at 7pm and took 15 minutes to bring cocktail over - one group left whilst we were there saying they had waited too long . The staff were lovely but it was a little to busy for the few staff working as there was a large party table booking there at same time .

The location is premium. The rooms were outstandingly clean and comfortable and above all really warm and quiet. The pillows were the most comfortable we have ever experienced in this level of hotel.

We couldn't get access to the hotel bar. We had dinner elsewhere and wanted to spend time afterwards in the bar at the Radisson Blu but we were told that we needed to have pre-booked. I had emailed previously to ask about bar facilities and I don't seem to have seen a reply. As it was we went to the nearby Mercure Hotel and spent quite a lot of money there. I do think that you should make room for your residents.

Everything: it was modern, freshly refurbished, clean and centrally located.

We were given a room that must have been interconnecting; as there was a wooden floor and no carpet with a door to separate, it meant sound travelled and when our unknown neighbours returned at 12:45am, we could hear them speaking as though they were in the same room as us. It didn’t put us off though as we were just going to bed ourselves so were awake and we will just request a room that doesn’t have an interconnecting door next time; we were lucky the chatting didn’t go on for long as otherwise this would have spoilt our sleep if we’d been woken up.

Great location, overlooking Peace Gardens, not far from the station and very close to shopping, bars and restaurants. Spotlessly clean room, great shower, comfy bed. Nice to have a hairdryer and iron in the room rather than having to borrow one. Added bonus of a safe in the room so we could leave our valuables. When we arrived, there was an issue with our booking, we were given a complimentary room upgrade because of the hassle which was really lovely. We could leave our bags there the next day so we could explore Sheffield before getting our train home.

Nothing really. If I'm being super picky, there was only limited sugar and milk and no biscuits (but the complimentary water was a nice touch). Mini bar wasn't stocked but we were only staying for one night so wasn't a problem. TV didn't work very well but we were hardly in the room so it didn't matter to us.
