Exceptional service that went above and beyond all expectations! I booked a room for a romantic getaway as part of my partner's birthday weekend, so messaged the hotel in advance to let them know that we may arrive a little early. On arrival we were told that they were giving us a complementary upgrade, and when we went up to our room we were utterly delighted to find that there was a birthday card and chocolate for my partner. The staff had also arranged our towels in the shape of a tiered birthday cake, and scattered some rose petals. We were absolutely blown away by our experience, and will definitely be returning for future special occasions.

We had a wonderful wedding weekend stay at this hotel, conveniently located in the city centre across from the registrar's office. The hotel was impeccably clean and smelt great. The staff were exceptional, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. They provided recommendations for scenic photo locations, offered refreshments, and even decorated our room, creating a truly comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

We reserved a couple of standard rooms and a superior standard room, which was more costly; however, I didn't perceive a significant difference between the rooms.

The hotel and rooms are very clean. Every detail has been thought of. We will come back to the hotel on the next occasion.

We liked everything except the dinner in the restaurant. The food didn't taste because it was reheated at our request. We waited so long that we received starters with primary, and everything was cold. The next day, at breakfast, I saw with my own eyes that the table cleaner sprayed the tables with detergent, which is perfect, but the point is, before the lady sprayed, someone put clean wipes and napkins on dirty ones. I think the restaurant systems need to be significantly improved.

What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. They were all amazing. They couldn't do enough for us and always had a smile on their faces whilst providing really high levels of customer service. Rooms were beautifully done, clean and luxurious. Breakfast was very comprehensive and tasty. We were there for wedding and they went over and above for the whole party. From initial booking Amy the Senior Guest Services Agent was so helpful, as was Vincenzo the Front Office Supervisor ensuring the bride and groom were well looked after. Massive shout out to Claire in the bar/restaurant area who worked tirelessly to make sure everyone was well looked after. This whole experience makes other hotels pale in comparison. Fantastic location right opposite the stunning Town Hall. Really central and only 10 minute walk from the station.

More shelving in the bathroom for our things (toothbrushes etc) and better shelving in the shower for those of us who wish to use our own products.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff addressed all my questions and needs immediately. Can't get better than that Sparkling clean reception, restaurant, room, lifts, and all other spaces Delicious breakfast with lots of options. Cons: "Soundproof rooms" is mentioned in the description, but unfortunately I could hear all the phone calls the person staying next to me was on around midnight. Of course that's not something to blame the staff for - they told me that they could have dealt with it, but I preferred to do so myself. Apart from the above, I am highly satisfied about my stay and would pick this hotel again in case I'd need to stay over at Sheffield.

The bed was very comfortable, great shower and the cleanliness was outstanding! Attractive decor too. Lovely smell in the hotel and in pristine condition .

Slow checkin, could have been more efficient, to keep the queue down? The reception staff were very thorough but it felt more methodical rather than warm and genuine. The breakfast wasn't hot. The scrambled eggs weren't very nice (think they were powdered egg?) For the price of breakfast we would have expected better than a budget hotel could offer, for the hot options, but have had better in a budget hotel. The continental offering was very nice though and lots of variety. Staff could have been friendlier, and less stuffy, we felt they could have been more approachable, genuinely happy to meet us, more smilies and less methodical? The housekeeping staff were lovely and friendly though.

The hotel and staff are brilliant with it being a lovely clean new hotel. The room was nice well appointed with the fridge and water being a great touch. Please read what I didn't like as it was off putting

Well this is the disappointing bit in our room #138 there is an interconnecting door with the next room it was disconcerting to be able.to hear everything they said could hear them going for a wee in the night and walking around the soundproofing is woeful and rather off putting. I would refuse a room like that if I stop again. I told the staff who took it on board but obviously can do nothing about it. I just feel that being able to hear the next room like the door is not there is unerveing. Please sort out the soundproofing it was not good.

I asked for a room with a view to the gardens at the front, knowing it was a room superior to my booking. I was told they would accommodate me if they could. Didn't really expect anything but when I checked in the lovely lady at reception said they had upgraded me as I was staying four nights. They didn't know but me and other members of my family were here for a funeral and the Peace Gardens are a family favourite. The hotel is very new and so everything was in excellent condition and the room had everything you could need and all the staff I did interact with were very good. Used the bar one night and it was nice, a great space for a get together. I didn't book breakfast as we had lots of family things on but paid to go the last morning. It was all very nice but I'm a vegan and the choice wasn't great for me. The coffee was a machine and only had cows milk, no vegan substitutes for eggs, sausage or bacon in the hot choice and pastries etc were a no go so for me, it was a waste of £17. My brother and his wife enjoyed it though.

The breakfast was no good for a vegan.

We had to be moved from our 1st room as it hadn't been cleaned but was given another straight away. Room was spacious and clean with all facilities you could need. 12 noon check out which we always look for in a hotel was great as no need to be rushing around 1st thing in a morning. Central location, directly opposite the peace Gardens.

Not really a dislike but to note for less mobile people. I am awaiting a hip replacement so my mobility is poor at the moment, the corridors are very long and maze like so be prepared for walking or request a room on the ground floor close to reception.

The staff were really nice! Helped if I had questions. The room was a great size and had all amenities needed. Water is always a good touch. The hotel is in an excellent area when visiting Sheffield. The views from the windows on a frosty day was of the old town hall and peace gardens. It smells really nice in the corridors and rooms. I really liked the amenities hidden behind doors too. We only stayed a night so didn’t use anything other than the room really and the bed was very comfy!

I would have preferred the higher floor but I’m sure they would have changed it if we had asked. Could probably do with a little more character inside because the building outside is beautiful. The rooms and bedding are very simple. Suited to business rather than pleasure I feel. Because the room was big and it was cold outside, it took a while to warm up. The light fitting fell off but I would expect this as a snagging issue in a brand new hotel. The fridge rocked because the feet were not on correctly but again I think if we had mentioned it, the staff would have helped.
