Centrally located in a quaint village near pleasant attractions. The little apartment was nicely renovated and charming. Kids enjoyed the bunk beds and the bath. Nice restaurant below for diner and breakfast. Great sense of place. The is the UK that is worth visiting.

Having to move the car around due to parking restrictions is a bit of a hassle. Stairs are quite tight to carry big luggage. The Ac is only so-so.

Absolutely superb room (room one, The "Pink" room).Comfy bed (superking), huge bathroom with delightful walk-in shower and we loved having a "his and her" sink - very quirky. Ooodles of very hot water. Generally excellent facilities all round. Good views from the room overlooking the main square. Even quiet at night considering the location was so close to a number of pubs. Staff were extremely friendly and couldn't be more helpful - always willing to please. Enjoyed a fantastic Full English breakfast on couple of mornings with continental breakfast on the one day as I believe the restaurant is closed Monday/Tuesday (which we knew would be the case when we booked). Appreciated the fact breakfast was served between 09.00-11.00 so provided plenty of time for a leisurely rise each day. Location was excellent - right in the heart of the town and although the accommodation do not provide car parking there is plenty of free parking within two/three minutes walk (Mill Street). Also enjoyed the benefit of having your own front door key so you could let yourself come and go into the accommodation as you please. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable weekend which we would recommend.

Not a complaint but an observation in that it did seem to take a long time to get served breakfast but then you are on holiday so no real need to rush - just that we were particularly hungry!!!

The location was central, in a pretty Cotswold village and parking was free and easy. The continental breakfast was filling and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful and recommended a very good place to eat next door as the Bower House restaurant was closed when we arrived. The room was spacious, well decorated and the bathroom was comfortable and well appointed. I would highly recommend this hotel and will return in the future if we are planning on staying in the area.

The only small issue was that it was very hot in the rooms and the hotel in general. However the windows opened easily and had mosquito screens. The staircase is not suitable for those with mobility issues otherwise it was perfect.

Location - the town was busy but not too rammed. While located in a town, the parking was straight forward, plenty of spaces outside and sure you could park close by even if it wasn't a Saturday night/Sunday morning. A great deal of thought has gone into the rooms, decor, facilities and also into the menu which was an additional bonus.

The breakfast while tasty was a little on the cold side and as it came off the breakfast menu, there wasn't an offer of pastries or toast on top of the ordered dish from the menu. A little more clarity on that although sure if we'd asked they would have been made available.

Bower House Review The accommodation was truly exceptional. We were warmly welcomed, the room had been beautifully decorated, was clean and had lovely Ila Spa products. The highlight in our stay was the breakfast which was delicious. Honestly the best eggs we have ever had and they were kind enough to make a special breakfast of scrambled eggs for our son. We also enjoyed a main meal at the restaurant which I would highly recommend. A++++ stay. Well done to everyone at the Bower House

Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was top rate both the continental options and the fully cooked options

We had only one small gripe - which is not unique to this hotel but is the same in every hotel we stay in - that of only one chair in the room when there are two guests which makes it impossible to watch television in comfort. It is worth noting also that parking was much easier than we expected it to be and more often than not, we were able to park right outside.

The room was lovely, tastefully decorated with a comfy bed and perfectly clean. It felt really special to have some lovely touches such as the radio playing when we walked in and the minibar which enabled us to make cocktails if we wished. The products in the bathroom were the nicest I’ve had in any hotel. The hotel is in an ideal location, as well as the restaurant downstairs, it is in easy walking distance of many other nice restaurants, pubs and bars. Although there is no parking next to the hotel there is a free car park a short walk away which is helpful. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be returning.

As we stayed on a Tuesday the restaurant was unfortunately shut so we couldn’t go for a meal but we can always return another time.

A great place to stay! Perfect location, beautifully decorated rooms that are exceptionally clean and spacious, and lovely staff. We were staying to attend a wedding so were unable to try the restaurant, but will do so when we return.

Paying £40.00 for half a bottle of Sancerre from the minibar!! Otherwise perfect.

Beautiful room and bed really comfy. Bath was lovely and so nice to have powerful running water rather than the trickle you sometimes get in hotels! Breakfast was delicious and nice to be able to pick from a menu but it was included in price.

In the local area taxis are hard to book so if you need one for a certain time, try to book well in advance! We needed one to take us to the distillery for 3pm and it was a bit of a panic so had I known I would have phoned ahead of the date. We managed to get one just in time but had tried about 7 numbers so was panicking!
