Everything! Can't rate this charming, quaint Inn highly enough. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. We arrived earlier than the designated check in time due to an early flight time and the staff kindly allowed us to freshen up in another room until our own room was ready. The bedrooms are stunning and we genuinely have never slept so soundly. The mattresses are so comfortable you literally don't want to get up. The aesthetics of the Inn are so apt for respecting the old and timeless traditions while enhancing the new. The Inn has a lovely mix of vintage decor with also new touches of comfort and warmth. You will happily soak up the environment and ambiance this beautiful Inn has to offer. The food and drinks were lovely too. The Inn is located 15 mins drive from the lovely town of Stratford Upon Avon which is steeped in history and also equally aesthetically pleasing. If you're interested in Diddly Squat Farm or possibly seeing the famous proprietor it's about 35 mins drive away and is well worth a visit. The area has lots to do or is also perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The fresh wild flower arrangements were absolutely stunning too. There were fresh floral displays on each dining table and it was a lovely touch. We'll definitely return and have already recommended it to family and friends.
I wouldn't change a thing. The place is perfect. There is nothing that needs to be improved. I feel very fortunate to have found this place on booking.com.

Staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Food exceptional, good choice of vegan options. Quiet location in Cotswolds, ideal for exploring other local villages, or Stratford and Warwick. Each room is individually decorated with comfortable beds and furnishings.
I really don't like to complain as staff and facilities are excellent. However we were staying in 2 rooms in the block built on to back of original pub building, and heating was not working properly. They tried to fix 3 times during our 3 night stay - the radiators would heat up for 2 hours but then not come back on again, so was very cold. We were glad that a free standing radiator was provided for my elderly parents and we were provided with a hot air plug in heater. But this was an issue during this visit. Have stayed several times over last 10 years and never had problems before

This is our second stay and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time which was the reasoning for us returning!! it has beautiful old English charm and wonderful staff and it’s a great place to relax and use as a Centre base for your travels throughout the Cotswolds.
The restaurant meals are wonderful and the excellence of their chef is obvious in the evening meals but it would be nice to have some lighter fare during the day such as sandwiches or even a cream tea option.

The breakfasts were amazing. We loved our room and would like to return and try the room on the ground floor I think it is the garden room. Being 'older' we did find the sockets in the oak room rather low and our tea and coffee making facility was rather low too, but all things considered we had a lovely time. The staff were excellent we felt very welcome and were made very comfortable.
The level of the sockets. The level of the tea /coffee makong facility was also low. (Creaky knees and backs)

This beautiful 'chocolate box' hotel oozes charm and warm hospitality. We had a wonderful stay with the friendliest staff who couldn't have been more good natured and attentive (with lots of local humour thrown in). We'd particularly like to mention Jo who put a smile on our faces with her cheery service. Thank you all for making our stay so enjoyable. We would not hesitate to recommend this gem of a hotel in such an idyllic English countryside setting!

room, pub and fantastic evening meal - highly recommend
didnt like choosing breakfast day before as when it came next day there seemed to be a lot - hence lot of waste- it was coooked to order anyway so could have ordered on the day. Found portions too large, hash brown too greasy and shame couldnt provide a cappucino - told that they only do cafatiere for breakfast - Overal our stay was lovely with an excellent evening meal - breakfast experience not quite right for us though

Lovely , traditional place set in beautiful surroundings , the staff are fantastic actually faultless, polite happy welcoming very helpful , the room was lovely I didn’t like the fact toilet totally separate to shower, bath sink over the other side room ! The finish to the room shabby bed needed a valance, seals needed re touch , glass tv stand not suitable when children sharp edges and spun bit to much furniture in the room, tea tray just balance on a stool and was knocked off , I wouldn’t recommend if your taller as you walk around hunched over to avoid banging your head but this is not the fault of the hotel it’s the traditional character ! Staff service were absolutely on point food fabulous , I paid 200 for one night which I feel after our visits very over priced and and disappointed I did so won’t be able to afford another break to soon but again my choice .
Bathroom was over the side to the room didn’t like this at all bathroom very open plan so no privacy what so ever if sharing a room with children friends family you don’t have a relationship to be so open with . Very over priced 200 for one night .

The venue of the pub and the surrounding village is so picturesque. The room was good and clean with a lovely view. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was excellent
Local drinkers at the bar when you’re trying to have a quiet meal. They spoil the ambience of the restaurant.

It was a beautiful cosy hotel with a wonderful open fire. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. We had a very comfortable room with lovely views. The room had extras like amazing homemade gingerbread and nice toiletries. We felt completely at home . There are so many amazing places to visit in the locality. We really enjoyed our trip to Cirencester and Stow on the Wold . We also popped into Stratford on Avon and Leamington Spa.
We loved everything!!

The breakfast was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented, and served on time. The dining room is most attractive.
The particular room we were is, the decor was rather "tired". Although we have stayed many times and the rooms in the new block are beautiful.
