The hostess is extremely nice and friendly. The room was enough for what I needed. Complimentary coffee, tea, cream and cookies were in the room, as well as a small fridge (even though without a freezer). A fan was provided for the hot weather. The location is very convenient, even though sometimes traffic was slightly disturbing because careless people were driving at very fast speeds a couple of times in the evening.

I had no issues, but one might have a problem with the fact that there's no elevator – even though it's obviously not to be expected either in such a typical British house.

First I would like to thank Debbie our host. We travelled for the Christmas market, which was a little disappointing as it wasn't that much in the way of a Christmas market, but our stay, at our guest house made up for that providing us with a much needed rest. The place was wonderfully clean, rooms exceptionally clean an cozy. Breakfast wonderful everything you could ask for, cereals, yogurts, cooked breakfast an coming to the table hot, tea coffee an juice an to finish toast.

There was nothing we didn't like, our only thought was it would have been nice to have a communal area to meet an have a cup of tea before going out as we travelled as a group.

We stayed in room no.4 for a cold weekend in October. It was very spacious and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom. The bed was comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities were good with delightful packs of complimentary biscuits. The room was lovely and warm. Breakfast was extra to the room rate and was excellent value. There were plenty of options for free parking and it was only a short walk to the town centre. The hotel hostess was very pleasant, welcoming and chatty. In summary we really enjoyed our stay at the Highfield.

The duvet was marginally short in length for the bed. There were too many pillows and cushions and storing them on the chair made the room look cluttered, they should be be provided on request.

The location met our needs entirely as it was only a short walk from the train station. There is a large Tesco Superstore located around the corner for incidental needs, and a Petrol Station adjacent if one arrives by car. The breakfast room was beautifully decorated and it felt very welcoming. Our kind and friendly host provided excellent breakfasts. The hot items were made to order and there was a good variety of fresh fruit, cereals, and yogourt as well.

Debbie was so lovely! She welcomed me warmly and we had lovely chats which is great when you travel on your own. The room was fantastic! The decor was amazing! Very cosy and calming with soft fabrics. The view of the dales from the bed was wonderful. You could lie in bed and look at the view! The bathroom was lovely too. The coffee, teas and biscuits were replenished daily. I loved the breakfast. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Loved it all!

Breakfast was great, plenty of food to choose from. Room had an excellent view, clean and tastefully decorated. Good, central location to get everywhere. Skipton is a nice place, lots of pubs and places to eat. Some excellent shops as well.

Getting parking if you return in the evening was a bit tricky. There were spaces in the side streets, it was just finding them.

Everything was fine ,clean and comfortable.Host was pleasant helpful and looked after us well. Even had a fan which we needed badly as it was two of the hottest days .Band B was ideally situated near town .

The heat in the room but that was because of outside temperature.Job to keep cool but better than rain.Breakfast was.not included.in cost which we felt could have been.

Excellent hostess, nothing too much trouble. Spotlessly clean ,large room, tastefully decorated,Bed was a little too firm for me but didnt stop me from sleeping, but that is just a personal choice.Husband 'slept like a log'.Water very hot with strong shower flow. Good selection tea ,coffee ,hot chocolate and biscuits plus a bottle of fresh milk provided.Breakfast good choice of cereals, yoghurt, fruit juice etc with several choices of cooked breakfast meals. Very convenient for town centre literally a 5 min walk into town, pubs, cafes, restaurants.Very close to bus and rail stations and tourist attractions. Limited parking at property but plenty of free parking available on main road and side road opposite property. Very pleasant stay, would be happy to return and highly recommend

House is 3 storey stairs,up to bedrooms and down to breakfast room, so may be unsuitable for elderly and infirm . Property is situated on main road and some road noise is audible but personally we were not disturbed by it.

Very friendly, and welcoming. The room was spotlessly clean, with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. The breakfast was excellent, and good value for money. Plenty of steeet parking around the property. A short walk into the town centre.

There were a lot of stairs, including a flight down to the breakfast room. This could be an issue for people with mobility problems.

Perfectly located to explore Skipton and all it has to offer is. Hotel is comfortable and owner is lovely and very knowledgeable on the surrounding area and is happy to share advice. Very good breakfast, set us up for when we tacked malam cove.

Quite a lot of stairs , no problem for us but there is no lift so if stairs are an issue maybe think again.
