Food, very well cooked and presented. The staff were very polite, friendly and efficient throughout.

The dinner menu only had one vegetarian option and was the same menu on the 2nd evening thus providing no choice, The staff brought an alternative menu from another area which served the purpose but not as good as the main menu. I strongly urge you to have more than one vegetarian option on the main menu, and possibly a vegan one. It is sad that at "Spa Hotel" the use of the spa is only available to guests for a limited time on payment of a considerable charge. In my experience this is unusual at Spa Hotels.

The staff were super friendly both at check in and in the restaurant. The location is stunning and the views are just lovely. The quality of the food was outstanding. Plenty of choice and all perfectly cooked. The rooms are comfortable and the public places are all really nice. The spa also had fantastic views.

Paying extra for access to the spa for residents at a spa hotel is really quite bad. The treatments are expensive, but had we not had to pay £30 each just to go in, and £30 for 2 glasses of wine, we might have booked a treatment. I also personally didn't find the barman in the hotel very friendly or welcoming.

Definitely surpassed our expectations, what a lovely setting and very comfortable and spacious room. We ate in the restaurant both nights and the staff could not have been more helpful. Both nights there was a wedding on and we never heard a sound either night. What was entertaining was the wedding breakfast on the Monday morning the place was jumping but the staff dealt with it so well. We didn’t get a chance to use the spa but from a distance it looked nice.

Wasn’t sure about walking to the spa in a robe when it raining?? Also next time can you organise it not to rain 😀.

The setting and the views from the property were amazing. The spa was incredible. All the spa, reception and housekeeping staff were really friendly, accommodating and kind.

I don’t know if we were unlucky, but the food in The View was not great, both breakfast and dinner were under par. We did let the restaurant staff know at the time that we were disappointed, they didn’t seem interested. We mentioned it on checkout, the receptionist was very apologetic and made us feel heard. Other than this, the stay was perfect. It wouldn’t put me off staying again. The food in the spa looked much better.

Quiet location away from the main road, with a great view of the lake. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was large and had a more modern feel compared to the room. Was good to have 2 hour access to the spa for each day of the reservation that we had.

The breakfast was okay, but thought would be better for a 4 star hotel. There were no soundproofing in the room so we could hear other guests above the room. The spa was okay but small and had a crammed layout compared to other spas. We were charged a fee for changing the time we wanted to go to the spa the following day, which we were not told about when we changed the spa time. It would be good to be provided with flip flops for the spa.

Set in stunning countryside...the only faults I could find was the food at MacLeod was not as good as I expected but we were looked after by the staff and problems were sorted...and 3 of my six coffee's were not what I would call hot..but I do like HOT coffee. Breakfast was good though. The spa was a nice experience although I did expect a slightly larger outdoor pool..

I can't say I didn't like anything except the pork crackling nibbles and the Brie and Stilton offered on my cheese dish which was rapidly changed.

The spa is amazing and everything you'd hope for. The view from the outside hot tub was fantastic. Wide range of saunas to choose from, Himalayan rock salt being the favourite. Breakfast was also really good and accommodating for allergies, providing alternatives for everything. Comfortable beds

The room itself is a bit dated, and the TV would not connect to netflix. There was a gap in the middle of the bed due to two singles being joined but not strapped together. The shower would be at max pressure if you wanted hot water. However positives outweigh the above.

Excellent staff, with good service. Food was good quality and good value for money. Large site with walking areas. Very popular with dog owners

The dogs have to be on a lead at all times, including in the grounds. This is fair enough in the hotel but unnecessary in the grounds. The SPA is an extra cost £30 per person for a 2 hour session . So £60 for a couple! As a result we did not use.

in a lovely setting. bedrooms spacious.

we would’ve liked to go to the spa but there was an extra charge of £40 per person so we didn’t go. when you’ve already paid for 2 nights at over 300 I think we should’ve had a complimentary pass when you stay for 2 nights. also we were due to eat in the view restaurant. we sat down at 8.15pm. we took our drinks in from the other bar. water was offered and we were still sat there at 8.30pm with no one taking our starter order. so we got up and left and went to the other bar.

At last some improvement to breakfast but missing some detail, ie fly parts in the milk for the tea, still breakfast not as good as it once was. Chilled croissants, orange juice run out and stayed that way over our breakfast, flash cooked food OK but not the best

Staff changes all the time, some improvement to breakfast, but lacking the attention to detail it had Severn plus years ago. But some improvement over the last year.
