The leisure facilities were good, as was our room, which was one of the apartments/suites. The bed in particular was very comfortable. The staff were friendly, especially the breakfast team.

Do not book and eat dinner there. The food is poor quality and the service below par. Instead, walk no more than 5 mins along the canal to the Bay Horse, where the food, service and overall experience is vastly superior. The hotel is in need of an update/refresh.

Lack of coffee milk sugar and loo roll in the room, When I asked at reception the receptionist she said that some would be sent up but they never arrived so we had to use the main hotel lavatories

Beautiful location with views of either the canal or the Dales. Big room, comfy bed. Nice little pool although already quite busy even at 7am. Food excellent first day, not quite as good second day (although still good). Scrambled egg to die for!

Restaurant service slow and disorganised (staff kept getting things wrong, taking meals to the wrong tables etc; half-hour wait to order dessert by which time we didn't fancy one any more). Quite a lot of trip hazards - little ramps in restaurant and little step at entrance to bathroom (presumably to prevent flooding but we were afraid of knocking our teeth out on the toilet seat in the middle of the night)

Very nice hotel, and breakfast was really good in the morning. We booked this as it was on the canal, and we had seen the location when doing a boat trip on a previous booking. Room was larger than what you would normally get in a hotel of this type, and had all the facilities you would need. Staff were friendly and we had no problems during our stay. We walked into Skipton along the canal to get a meal in the evening which was very pleasant, and is just over a mile, so about a 20 minute walk which we really enjoyed.

The was nothing that we did not like about our stay, and will definitely be back as we visit the are frequently.

The location is fabulous, the ability to walk Canal side into Skipton is really nice, we have stayed 4 or 5 times.

The room was absolutely lovely, the restaurant and bar are now equally lovely but the health club, is quite frankly dreadful. We have been for many years and we’re ok we got our swimming m and sauna but it is filthy. I’m not comparing to a spa hotel, this is awful. The staff are so nice and you don’t wNt to say to them but, I’ve tried for several visits, I struggled to use the shower. It’s a lovely hotel that has had so much love put into it but, right now, the leisure facilities are an embarrassment. And I love the place!!!!

The hotel is very nice and well presented. Stayed in a suite which was very nice, although as it is open plan, it wouldn't be everyone's choice of room options. WiFi was excellent, which was great as i was travelling for business.

Limited time options offered when trying to make a reservation for the restaurant, despite the restaurant being almost empty when i arrived at the allocated time slot and throughout the duration i was in the restaurant. It should be noted that the hotel is on the outskirts of Skipton, and a little to far for a quick stroll, but that is clear from the location on the map.

We enjoyed the view from our room, restaurant and bar. Staff very friendly especially the lady in the bar (Friday night 31/05/24) Good location, quite environment.

Had to queue to get into breakfast room, on arrival cutlery missing from the table, had to share milk with the next table as they had none, tea, coffee & toast did not arrive until after i had eaten my full breakfast, items not replaced at the breakfast bar, it was like faulty towers watching the manager trying to direct the staff who did there best in a chaotic environment. A simple solution could be a tea & coffee machine or dedicate the staff to a single role. everyone was waiting for tea, coffee & toast. Arrived around 1530 two staff on reception, departed 1015 one person on reception and yet another queue ?

Our room looked out to a wall it was like we were in the basement. The food was ok but the chips were cold nobody asked if the food was ok while eating it Our room was dated

Room was spacious, bed was very comfy and the little touch of soap and body wash was was lovely. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided and replenished daily. Lovely soft fluffy towels and sparkling white bed linen. Breakfast choices were really good and the full English section had a good selection to help yourself. Table service of toast and tea was excellent. Location of hotel was good with beautiful scenery and the town of Skipton was easily reached by walking along the towpath.

Possibly more channels on the T.V.

Restaurant overlooking canal was beautiful, buffet breakfast was excellent. The view of the canal and surrounding fields is very pretty and tranquil. We booked a canal facing room, so the view was stunning. Access to the leisure swimming pool next door to hotel was good. The pool was like the hotel, a little dated and need of modernisation, but was still very nice and added to our stay. Staff where nice, friendly, welcoming and overall faultless. Checking In and out was easy and they phoned a taxi for us to go into town with no problems what so ever.

The hotel was very dated and needed a few quid to update and renovate it. The room was okay but was in need of modernisation. All furniture and equipment were very dated, even the kettle and cups had an 90s feel to them. The room felt more like a 30 quid motel instead of a 180 pound a night up market treat.
