Position walking distance from NEC (13 minutes). Very nice structure reminding a Victorian traditional British building. Lovely staff, was very nice having breakfast with Mrs Jane, a really nice woman who let's you feel at home. Nice bar for a night drink. A really nice place to stay

The only very important thing I suggest to the owner is to invest in order to change the tents of the rooms. The ones that are now on the windows let filter all the light and it is really disturbing being awakened by the light at 5 am. All hotels have decent tents that create darkness, and a sleep without the dark is a bas sleep. You can do it, it's easy, doesn't cost too much and it will let your hosted rest all night long

staff , room, pool and food all good

I booked this hotel as it was advertised as walking distance from the NEC...but due to road works and a closed bridge over the train station, there was no way to walk to and from the NEC. This meant taking taxis on every journey and a lot of wasted time trying to walk

The hotel was very convenient for the NEC and overall was clean and tidy if a little tired however the bathroom had been upgraded and was nice and clean, the bed was comfortable and the TV was easy to work. Food was excellent in the restaurant and the service in both the restaurant and bar was superb - great staff who are an asset to the hotel.

Large hotel that looks like it was built in the early 80s - It even had a "Mercury Telecom" branded push button phone by the bed and the only power socket was by the TV but none by the bed to plug your phone into. My room overlooked the majestic vista of the A45 so was serenaded morning and evening by the not so distant rumble of tyres. Car park ANPR seemed to be pretty random and everyone was struggling with it.

The approach to the building and the entrance are lovely as is the reception area. The staff are very approachable and friendly. We very much enjoyed the pool, the ambiance of where the pool was and lighting etc. Our room was clean and quiet. We were happy to see that people could bring their dogs to stay and are considering doing this ourselves in the future. We love that you can take your dog to the bar area and that you could have specific seating in the restaurant/bar area for food. Though we aren't sure how this works for breakfast.

The shower screen is not long enough and when you have a shower the bathroom floor is like a swimming pool, there is water everywhere

Absolutely fantastic hotel for the price. Staff really lovely and helpful, breakfast was fantastic and the location is really close to the NEC. We stayed here for Crufts with our dog and they were extremely accommodating. I found that our room was almost totally soundproof and despite there being a huge number of dogs staying, I didn’t hear them at all. This hotel also has a great pool and leisure club that hotel guests are able to use. We had a wonderful stay and I’d definitely come back.

If I really had to nitpick about something, I’d say the water pressure wasn’t great and navigating the hallways can be a bit confusing at first.

Modern, bright hotel, with friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms, good leisure and bar facilities, easy parking. Didn't try the meals on this occasion. Would happily book again if planning either a multi day visit to the NEC or a flight from BHX.

Took a few attempts to find, coming by car. The postcode took us to an adjacent industrial estate where the hotel could be seen but not accessed. (Should have given the sat nav system a more precise destination!!). However would also have liked more detail on distances/route we'd have had to walk if we'd gone for the option of coming by train and getting on foot between station, NEC and hotel.

Parking good and free. Generally the hotell was VERY GOOD but with some fairlly minor issues. Staff were brilliamt and general areas very good & rooms very clean. Resterant food and service great.

Some funiture in bar area was damaged and leatheret peeling on chairs. Pool changing aears while modern and generally good , were let down by areas of black mould above changing lockers and ceiling above showers. The wife noticed hotel entrance lighting came through room curtains at night, and curtains could benifit from a blackout lining,. My wife also woke on occations due to noise from passing trains somewhere nearby. We experianced occational heavy foot noise late at night and in early morning, this was down to the heavy footed nature from the room user above ours.

The staff were great, they were really helpful and polite during our stay. The time slot booking to use the pool was easy and flexible. The room was spacious and well appointed. We stayed in the Marsten room which you could swing a couple of cats in. The place was impeccably clean, I was worried as I know that dogs are allowed in this hotel, this was something I didn't need to worry about.

The bar area does look a little tired and in need of a little care in some areas. I'm usually very critical but beyond this and a few bits that can't be changed I was very happy. The bathroom was a bit tight (the bit that can't be changed). The mattress was firmer than I would have liked though my wife preferred it, something I find quite common in hotels to be fair. I guess a harder mattress lasts longer.

Location of hotel is great for airport, if you dont mind a short walk to the monorail which has you there in a few seconds. Room clean and comfortable Pool and jacuzzi lovely; didnt get to busy

Stairs and hallways needed a good vacuum We thought the menu for restaurant was over priced and the selection of meals didnt really include anything traditional and simple. So we went for a bar meal. Choosing the burger, chips and salad option. 18yr old grandaughter had the beefburger which she found lacked seasoning, I had the vegetarian burger which was basically just potato with bits of veg in it, very bland indeed. Chips were quite nice though

The location was brilliant - we travelled from near Ipswich and had no problem finding it, signposting through roadworks was fantastic. The rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable, the breakfast was amazing. We have dietary requirements and they were catered for so well at breakfast - it makes a lovely change from other hotels we have stayed in! Thank you 😊 We also loved the 5 minute walk to World Resorts Arena as we had travelled up for a concert. I would definitely book tickets at the Arena again and stay at the hotel again as it was all just so easy. Friendly staff at reception desk and at breakfast, perfect stay!

The room felt a tiny bit dated with the furniture but it was clean and comfortable which is more important.
