Nice modern room, nice bed, nice bathroom, adjoining pub had all the food and drink you could want. Despite the outlook onto a main road and the busy site, it was quite quiet.
A little bit pricey considering it was not a hotel but a lodge adjoining a pub but it was a busy weekend. It suffered from the all too common lack of storage space that would make a multi-night stay a problem. Guests should be aware that, if you book through BOOKING.COM, you do not qualify for the 20% food discount available to those who book direct with Marston Inns. This is only of interest if you eat in and you should compare room prices before making a decision.

Exceptionally comfortable bed. Good sized bath. The room was very clean with plenty of space to move around. A large breakfast for a reasonable price. Staff very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay in another Marston Inn again. Plenty of car parking available. Soap and hairdryer included. It was an overnight stay as visiting family in the area. We booked it as it was a good price but was not really expecting the hotel to be anything special. It was a pleasant surprise and considerably more comfortable than another well known budget hotel chain.
There is nothing negative to say. Check in was via the pub but I don't know what procedures are in place if you have a very late check in. I'm sure they have that covered.

Staff were great most helpful, special mention to Sam, Hannah and the team of the pub they were great! Food was good and great value drinks are top end of pub prices but expected. Room was clean and bright with flat screen tv, tea coffee etc. One night stay but would return if ever in this area. Opposite is a large service station with Costa, Greggs, and Subway, nearby is KFC. But why use these when the pub despite its location, is very popular, because the food is so nice.
Nothing to not like ! Although a bit remote 10 minutes drive to Spalding.

Room and the bath room were both clean and tidy i got the room i requested so all good, i did not have breakfast but from previous experiences staying at the tulip queen it would of been ok.
We booked a table for our selves and friends we had not seen for a long time, the table was booked for 7.00pm, it took 10 mins to get seated once we had chosen what we would like to eat we went to order at the bar and stood for over 20 mins waiting to get served. Once our meals were ordered they arrived at about 9.15am. The staff were run of there feet so no reflection on them but very short on staff so should of reduced the covers to reflect the problem.

air con. good size room. friendly staff who were efficient and gave very good service.
I downgraded facilities as there was only 1 bath towel. Hotel owners have decreed this so everyone has to ask staff for another one. this means leaving your room, walking across to the pub where the staff give you another towel. On return it’s then you notice the sign that says you have to go all the way back to reception to get a bath mat. obviously that’s a safety issue and sharing a towel is not desirable either. hotel owners need to change this silly rule that staff have to follow. also sugar is rationed to two a room!

Food = plenty of choice Staff = friendly, helpful, caring polite Buildings = clean, no litter. easy parking Room = nice size, warm and comfortable Overall = I will advise friends to book with this hotel & restaurant
Maybe a larger set of brochures , in the foyer, letting holiday makers know what is on in the area. History , nature etc. would be a good idea. Nothing else as all other angles had been seen to. Thank you for a nice restful holiday. Sylvia W.

Large room, all facilities, easy check in, shower over the bath so suited my baby, hot drink making facilities, large mirror, hairdryer in the rooms, key drop box in the lobby, lots of different types of lighting in the room so didn't disturb the baby, very comfy beds with extra pillows
Requested a ground floor room due to my husband being on crutches and having a baby in a pushchair to be told all the family rooms were full. Despite this we had a lovely stay.

The location when travelling across country to East Anglia is perfect. It was a great, easy and clean hotel for a stopover - with the pub for food and drink and even a big petrol station with a Greggs and Subway across the road. Plus the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay here again.
It's only a minor thing - but it would be better to have the hotel attached to the pub, save having to walk outdoors. And I always love a fridge in the room but I know many hotels don't.

Well maintained. very clean, staff very accomadating and polite Rooms cosy and clean would recommend. The manager in Tulip Queen brilliant so was all the staff
The only thing I was disappointed with was the rooms were not together or even on the same floor which did cause some personal problems. I did book four weeks ahead so there was time to ring me and give me the oppurtunity to book elsewhere.

Had a meal in the evening with friends. The pub was full and we did not eat until 8 pm . They chose from the menu and I chose the carvery. They were ok with their meals but by the time I had the carvery it was just beef left which was a tough as old boots. The veg was all dry and the only edible things left was the peas, yorkshires and lumpy gravy. Might be my fault choosing the carvery that late when all had gone. (i did not know it had) The place was busy with lots of people early on so I am sure the food can not as bad as I had. I think when they get down to food as bad as I had they should just take it off the menu.
