Great communication and kindliness (we were delayed) from out host, thank you. The place is small, but lovely and have all what you need for spending here the night. The kitchen was enough supplied for a good breakfast. It is close to the town centre.

The room (and kitchen too) was small, if you have a big luggage or you are plus size, it can be unconfortable. You can here other quest form your room (there are two rooms with common kitchen and bathroom), so I would recommend this accomondation for friends or co-travelers, it could be great :)

Jovial host (Barry) Nice bathroom. Sharing downstairs facilities which was expected...could have been difficult but no issues. Well stocked kitchen though see below. £59 for St Albans is good.

Two single beds in room but small, duvet left bed overnight. Bread one week old..no mould but stale. Coffee container refilled by hosts... this need washing. I had room two. Take a dressing gown as you have to use left hand to unlock door which is up against wall and cannot do this if holding a towel around you from the bathroom.

A great location for getting to the city centre and the Cathedral. The place was warm and homely, the shower excellent, the kitchen set-up was well stocked for breakfast, with facilities to cook if you needed to (bring non-dairy milk or other specific dietary elements if you need them) and a little table to sit at with two tall chairs. The host, Barry, is kind and attentive and very organised. It was brilliant value for a Saturday night in town. The decor is neutral, and might need a little lick of paint in the bedroom, but the floors were very clean, as was the bedding. In the bathroom there is an iron and ironing board, a spare heater and some hair straighteners - very thoughtful! There is also a golf umbrella to use in a stand in the hallway and shoe/boot rack if things get wet/muddy.

Another couple of hand towels would have been useful as we were sharing a bathroom so it's nice to have your own, plus I was my long hair so I need an extra. Somewhere in the bathroom to hang your towel while you shower would also be good. The car park is a pain, which is no fault of the owner. small spaces (our car is normal size and yet, on leaving, the driver's seat couldn't be accessed because of a car parked next to us, and if you don't have the Pay By Phone parking app getting a 24 hour ticket seems to be impossible via the machine. One twin bed is very bouncy, the other seems quite small and the pillows aren't super-supportive. The room was next to the pavement and a few louder people went by our window (there is a pub close by) but we got used to it!

I was contacted by the property manager, Barry, after making the booking and offered a different property which better met our needs due to the amount of people. This was very much appreciated. Barry met me and give me a quick tour and had a nice chat. Property was small but met every need. Felt very home-from-home, cosy and full of character, very much what we like rather than starched and pressed hotels. Beds were very comfy, everyone agreed they'd had a great nights sleep. Loads of food supplied, cereals, croissants, fruit etc which the kids loved. Good speed Wifi available too. Parking is available across the road with very reasonable costs (free after 6pm). Watch the spaces as they are very narrow. Proximity to St Albans is literally about 5-10 mins walk and it's a lovely place. Loads of little cut-throughs and arcades, little cafes, posh restaurants and everything from high-end clothing and jewellery to charity shops. Have a look at the 'Books on the Hill' book shop as it's one of those rare old and welcoming places that are hard to find. There's a cafe on the top floor and it's great to have a sit and read. We used this as a base to visit the Harry Potter studio tour which is about 20 mins away. We'll be back again later in the year for a London visit too.

The property is in the close proximity to the city center & the Cathedral, yet rather isolated from the busy streets. The apartment is not large (except for the spacious bathroom :)), yet cosy, comfy, easy to access. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils, breakfast provided. You can find a couple of grocery stores around, and pubs if you need ones :). The staff is welcoming and responsive. Great value for money, wouldn't mind staying there again!

Nothing to really complain about :)

Excellent location within 5 to 10 mins walk of St.Peters street. Car Park directly opposite so easy parking (pay for parking via card / app). There's a shared kitchen with a fridge, microwave and kettle, has tea / coffee / cereals / fruit / bread etc to grab some breakfast.

Shared bathroom - but suited us fine for this particular visit and we knew about it in advance - I just generally don't like shared bathrooms.

Lovely apartment, absolutely perfect for a stay for myself and my two young people. It was within walking distance of everywhere that we wanted to visit and had been supplied with everything that we could have wanted, eg fruit, cereal, bread, milk, etc, which was an unexpected bonus. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Easy nearby parking and a number of pubs. I had a great visit to St. Alban’s cathedral while there and a fabulous and friendly Moroccan restaurant near the cathedral. Very close to the train station to take the train into London.

It appeared that the owner let a friend down on his luck come and stay last minute in the other bedroom and not just another traveler. The friend told me that acquaintances of his were trying to hurt him, had already assaulted him and showed me the marks on his head of the wounds, and he was worried about the acquaintance finding him even at this property since he was originally from the town of St. Alban’s. It made me somewhat nervous the last night of my stay.

Such a lovely apartment with a modern vintage feel! Great communication with Barry, the host, who was so friendly and helpful when showing us around! As no one else was staying there, we had full reign of the kitchen and bathroom which was ideal. Kitchen was kindly stocked with fruit, milk and cereals as well as other cooking essentials. We also enjoyed eating dinner outside on the little patio. Ideal location if you are working at the Alban Arena.

Kitchen could have been a little cleaner and would have been helpful to have instructions for the oven.

Great location, comfortable property, generous provisions for guests & great coffee. Barry the landlord was very helpful. Easy parking directly opposite & loads of pubs nearby. The nearest pub, White Hart Tap, was busy with very friendly punters, welcoming staff and hearty food. My short stay for a family party nearby was very neighbourly and I know I had a much better local experience than the rest of the clan who stayed at the Premier Inn. Would definitely stay here again.
