Fab location opposite Radlett station. Free parking and the room was surprisingly high end . Comfy bed, lovely furnishings and with all of the little extras that you need. Really good quality, hot drinks available. Nice bathroom toiletries. Bedding was super clean and crisp and towels were fluffy. I could not fault the interior of the bedroom. It was better than some very expensive hotels I have stayed in. Cleanliness was good although the shower door edging could’ve been cleaner. Food from the pub can be ordered to the room and this is very good quality food . Staff were friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very small point, but the stair carpet is a little frayed in places and perhaps could do with replacing. Overall, I was really surprised with the quality of this place.

The room was spacious enough to move around. The room was very clean, apart from the bin not having emptied from the previous occupants. The shower was very good. The sink tap was a little tricky to use and one cannot alter the flow of water. It is on or off. The bed was very comfortable. There were plenty of towels. The TV was well positioned. We didn't use the Air-con. We were booked into a second floor room, but I struggle with stairs, so the receptionist moved us to the first floor which really helped me.

We would have liked more coffee options. Espresso is not for everyone. We did ask, but were told no other options were available. A small thing, but worth mentioning I think.

We stayed for our wedding night. They kindly upgraded us to the superior suite for no extra charge ! We were also given two glasses of prosecco each. The bed was enormous and very comfortable, the air con a life saver in this heatwave. We got breakfast to our room which came very quickly and was hot and delicious. Thank you, red lion hotel!

There was some construction opposite but that's not the hotels fault.

We enjoyed our stay at the Red Lion - we'd absolutely stop by again. Rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom was a great size. Despite being on the main road, we didn't hear any noise. They supplied an ironing board and iron in the room, so we didn't have to request one which made a change! This hotel offered really good value for money and the pub itself is lovely.

Two very minor critiques - it would be good to have one more 'main' light in the room. It's a bit pointless only having one. Muffins used for the Eggs Benedict were stale....the rest of it was great though!

a traditional English pud. warm & inviting. good staff who were always smiling & hard working. the rooms were nicely decorated & clean. very good facilities & apart from some water damage in the bathroom by the shower it was excellent.

there was a smell-not a nice smell when you entered the room. we did not mention this to the staff because it vanished after opening the window for a short time. we think it came from the water damaged area in the bathroom. it didn’t effect our stay.

Lovely welcome by staff, good local, free and secure parking. Nice rooms with good and modern facilities. Traditional and friendly pub decor and comfortable upstairs and also down in the bar area.

Room slightly noisy but ok. The otherwise very convenient location on a main road probably makes this inevitable. The evening meal was well cooked and served with a decent bottle of wine which we very much enjoyed, thank you. Warm and efficient service by the evening staff, including from a careful new recruit! Breakfast was decent and with plenty of options although the presentation of the continental options was a little haphazard. The waitress was pleasant but seemed rather run off her feet, probably just one of those mornings!

Warm welcome, very good breakfast, comfortable rooms, the hotel is very pleasant, the restaurant is quite good too. All the personnel is warm and very helpful. For those who travel by public transport, it is very practical, owing to the localisation, a few steps from Radlett train station, with a 30 mn connection with central london. We had a wonderful stay.

the bath was definitely the highlight of the room. bed was good. overall look was great. staff was lovely.

at night it was pretty noisy but was to be expected because of the location. we didn’t really struggle to sleep. we was shattered. light sleeps would struggle though. if we had been there longer than one night. we would of asked for help with getting the room warmer & for a thinker quilt. free tea & coffee options.

The staff were excellent the food was good cleanliness good. Facilities and lighting was poor in rooms. A lift would be useful especially for the elderly. The doors were heavy to rooms. Relaxed atmosphere was good. Again the staff were exceptionally good friendly and very helpful the best I have every encountered. Nothing was too much for them they were an absolute delight and this made out stay so good

The bathroom was noisy and lighting poor. The shower too small. The toilet button did not work and the tap to sink was not efficient. I think the plumbing needs attention The light switches were stiff but I still enjoyed my stay because of the exceptional staff and food.

The en suite facilities were excellent. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Secondary glazing ensured the majority of outside traffic noise was not a problem. My fish and chips eaten on the first night were as good as any I have eaten and my wife enjoyed her dinner too.

The only annoying thing was the guests in one of the rooms nearby had left their dog alone on our first night and it barked for over two hours - 7.30 to 9.30 p.m. It did not seem to be a problem once they had returned but on our second night it barked intermittently throughout the night so I had to resort to ear plugs!
