When we arrived the staff made us feel welcome as if we we were old friends always chatting making sure we were happy and had everything we needed,while we were staying we were involved in a car accident and we had to get a hire car and our car wasn't going to be recovered from the car park until 3 days after we left but the staff made sure we had enough parking so as not to get any parking fines and we were to leave the keys with them and they would deal with it in our absence couldn't ask for anything else absolutely brilliant,we will definitely be staying here again and we can't recommend this hotel enough

There is nothing we didn't like

The hotel was situated in a pleasant quiet location but travelling by car was close to the city centre local landmarks and amenities. The breakfast was lovely. There was alot of variety and it was well organised making it easy to get your food even when it was busy. The dining room was clean and comfortable giving us a pleasant start to our day. The room was clean and very comfortable which was a big plus for us as we stayed for 5 nights. The staff were friendly and helpful we were made very welcome. The cleaning staff did a first rate job everything was spotless in our room for the duration of our stay.

It had a good sized car park but a few more dedicated disabled bays would be good as we sometimes struggled to get a space in a disabled bay at busy times.

I liked the hotel very much. Location was excellent for our needs, plenty of parking for disability,

The heating in the room took along time to heat up. We were very cold going to bed. Breakfast I could not understand why the breakfast staff could cook me a vegetarian sausage however when I asked if I could have an egg cooked in any other way then scrambled I was told no !? It took 20 mins to cook a vegetarian sausage it would have taken 5 mins to make a soft boiled egg or poached egg. Is this something that can be changed? I hate scrambled egg. My score would have been too marks if there were any egg choice but scrambled.

Honestly the first thing I noticed was how down to early the staff where, had a good laugh regarding electricity & a justeat order within the first 20 minutes of arriving. The bed was just perfect, way bigger than expected, it did have really warm covers too which is okay? Just was a little too warm for the weather those days. Great first hotel experience though.

The only thing I didn’t like was one simple thing which we didn’t actually notice until the final day. We opened the curtains and noticed a whole lot of small flies on the window and a dead moth on the window frame, it’s something a personally didn’t care about but it’s best being honest! It was in Room 216 on the Third floor just incase it’s still like that!

Lovely clean hotel, probably need a taxi to town centre but not a problem as there seems to be plenty available, and very reasonably priced, our stay was made extra special by the lovely "Kate" who cooked our breakfast and made us feel very welcome, took time out of her day to have a wee yap and that meant a lot. there is a lot of hotels out there who would benefit from having a member of staff like her in their employment, she definitely made our stay special and why we will probably return

Staff were very welcoming. Rooms were a good size. The bed in my daughters room was a super size. The breakfast was much better than expected with hot buffet breakfast.

The bed our double room was quite small for the 2 of us and the duvet was not very high quality. The air conditioning unit was very noisy so had to turn it off through the night which made the room quite cold. The room walls let the noise from next door travel from an amorous couple who returned to their room later in the evening.

All went very well ,clean room, nice big bed , nice tea and coffee shame no rich tea /hob nobs.to have with tea/coffee. As to air con put on till bed time to warm up room as weather outside was cold/damp watched tv. lots of cannels to see very nice . Iron and iron board in room to use great. Shower room just great nice hot water and very clean lots of towels and soap. THE STAFF all of the staff were warm and helpful and i would be very happy to give them all jobs. Thy do work to a very nice standard with all gests as thy were with us on this visit. The staff were excellent. Breakfast was just great served again by warm helpful staff .

Comfortable bed, good choice of continental breakfast options. Supermarket 10 mintue walk which I found great if I needed to purchase anything for myself

The lamp in our room by the television doesn't work so we found it difficult to keep the room lit for my child. We had to leave the bathroom light on to shine into the bedroom. The heating in our room didn't heat up the entire room just the one side where it was blowing out of. We wasn't told where we could leave the pram either as having the pram in the bedroom made the room smaller than it was already.

Comfortable room, very clean and well kept. Breakfast was adequate and pretty much what we tend to expect from these types of hotels. The location is reasonable for getting about. Stirling isn't very big so you can be most places in the city within 15 minutes drive. Fairly well positioned for hiking in the Ochils with the typical start to the Dumyat hike being just up the road.

The layout of the breakfast room isn't great. There's very little space to manouvere in the buffet area so just be aware of that going in. Holiday Inn now seem to have a no trays policy for breakfast, which does make sense. It was brought in to stop people piling their trays up and then wasting food by not eating all of it. Just be mindful that if you do happen to eat a lot you will probably need to engage in an elaborate balancing act or queue twice.

We have been to this hotel before.The standard for cooking of the hot food was excellent, especially the links sausages and the eggs. The staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. When we expressed disappointment that we now had to pay for parking, the manager kindly let us stay free of charge for the first night.

We expected this hotel parking to be free of charge like last year as this is one of our criteria when choosing a hotel. We may consider other hotels in the area in future. I preferred the individual preservatives. As I had to balance my plate this time t9 spoon out the marmalade. I think in general the room lighting is a little bit dim.
