Nice hotel, friendly staff, grounds are well kept. The style of the hotel is older and the owner has done a fab job adding some lovely accessories which tie in nicely with this. Log burner in front room which is such a lovely touch, and so welcoming and cozy in autumn nights! There is a bar which we didnt use but looked nice. When we arrived a staff member greeted us and offered to help with our bags, check in was smooth and our room was ready for our arrival. The room was a little dated but very classy; Room was clean and the bed was very comfy! We only stayed for a night and breakfast in the morning was included with the room, the breakfast was really nice and the room they serve it in is lovely. Great service from all staff members!

Road leading upto hotel has lots of potholes and could do with being fixed, driving up during the day is managable but need to be careful!

To be honest this is a great hotel nothing to dislike family run management and staff all amazing

lovely little old hotel with a beautiful garden. welcoming staff, fantastic breakfast and comfy bed. secure parking with lots of spaces.

it’s a bit dated and could use a fresh coat of paint here and there, but nothing that could spoil the stay.

The external property is stunning, so picturesque and lovely grounds, the room was a great size and really happy dogs could stay too. The breakfast was unbelievable, really speedy and good quality!

The property is a bit outdated, and sadly the bathroom in our room had a huge patch of black mould growing on the ceiling, and mould around the shower seals too. The bed also made a lot of noise when you laid down or rolled over, it was comfy but difficult to sleep with the noise. And the walls also appear to be very thin, our neighbours came back early hours and we could hear every word they said in their room and heard everything from the bathroom, toilets flushing, taps on etc, quite hard to sleep through the noise.

I loved my 6 nights at Dunmore. Lauren Maggie Sarah and Samantha were wonderful. Lauren helped me with my heavy suitcase 🙏 , made me a meal and brought it to my room after I arrived there late, exhausted and hungry after 12 hours travelling....such kindness. I loved chatting to the girls at breakfast. The Hotel is gorgeous ... my beautiful room was spotless ... even decaf coffee supplied ... big comfy bed....lovely chairs...soft fluffy towels, huge bathroom and bath with a view of the squirrels playing in the gardens☺️. The breakfasts were delicious. I did not want to leave and I still miss them all and that beautiful place. Thankyou all ..it was a joy. 🥰

The staff are lovely and friendly and nothing was too much for them. Food at dinner and breakfast was very good. The grounds are very well kept.

The hotel is in need of a renovation. There's clearly a need for the roof to be replaced as there is an awful lot of paint peeling off the walls up above. It's a shame as it's a beautiful old building. I would be happy to stay there again as the staff and food outweigh the bits that are in need of attention

Hotel was beautiful, so many original features. Clearly built with love. Rooms were very tastefully decorated. Spotlessly clean and had everything we could have needed. Breakfast was quality, fresh, delicious 😋, and more than enough. We had a lovely time and would definitely come back again. Set in lovely grounds also beautiful views from our window.

The shower was weak, no pressure and in need of an upgrade. This was the only thing I could comment on as the rest of our stay was fabulous.

The hotel was excellent but not very suitable for disabled people There was no lift and all bedrooms are upstairs. The meals were excellent and the staff very friendly

I did not like the road up to it.we missed the entrance as it was dark and raining heavy and we ended up in a housing scheme. Also a light above the sign might help. The sign should also be at a better angle to show the way

The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. They made us feel so welcome, especially our little dog. The food was delicious, particularly the beautiful home cooked breakfast.

Our bathroom was quite shabby and the shower was very dated. The menu sheets look very standard so you expect the food to be very average. It was anything but. Delicious home cooked food.

This hotel has a very Victorian look and feel about it, a lot of original features that gives it a homely feeling. The owners are slowly updating the rooms but as all things it takes time but I personally love the old design as it gives the hotel character and charm. I take no notice of negative reviews as this hotel as it is going through renovations in the back ground and if people are wanting to stay in a premiere hotel then a character building like this is not that sterile looking. The Dunmar gives you the impression of its age and the decor is stunning downstairs in the lounge bar and dining area We totally had a fantastic time and so did our dog Lucy who was made very welcome, we will definitely return

thankfully I have no negatives, anything that looks dated is because of its age and character of the building I think with the creaky stairs it gives it the atmosphere of a place with a story to tell.
