Couldn't ask for better. Well fitted, plenty of room, exceptional views, excellent bed , cupboard/wardrobe was big enough to stow all the big things away like suitcases and hang lots of clothes (probably need more hangers for a 7 night plus stay though). Ample drawer space. Nice sleek tea/cofffee area. Little round table and 2 chairs by window. Beautifully fitted shower etc with dispensers. Lots of welcome breakfast juice and cakes. Top up bags when sleeping late but need top ups of tea, coffee sugar, milk.

The no breakfast/sweet breakfast option. We think we understand why and support it as a solution to energy, staffing and ecological/ green business considerations. It is only that we do not have sweet tooths! Oh and the sink plug doesnt hold water

The room was very good & had everything one requires. It had a sash window, which one could open as normal (had this open all the time & very quiet at night night. Bed was comfortable. The sea view was lovely. Food & service was excellent, though they only do lunches & evening meals. You do get given muffin cakes, flapjacks, biscuits, juice & a bottle of water in your room & can have these topped up on a daily basis. For a cooked breakfast we can highly recommend the Bay Café next door (opens at 9am & best to book a table as very popular), where the food & service are excellent.

The TV is rather small (could be larger) & we felt it would have been better to put it on the other side. That's a minor thing though. Apart from that there is nothing we would have changed.

The view from room 7 was wonderful looking out to sea and over the Babbercombe downs. Our room was very large and comfortable,it had two double windows the bed was very comfortable,we had booked room only but every day muffins and flapjacks and juice where supplied, Housekeeping was first class big thank you to all the staff. The rooms where very peacefull at night so we had a goodnights sleep This is our second stay, we would go back again.

All great for our trip

Liked the sea view from our room over Lyme Bay. The room was well decorated and plenty of room. Tea, coffee facilities in the room where very good. The King Sized bed was very comfortable. We used the local bus service to travel the local coastal towns. Every 20mins . (rather than use the car) Great location on Babbacombe front with plenty of bars and eating houses. The Royal Hotel provided meals and a carvery but did not serve a breakfast meal in the restaurant. Lovely peasant stay at thi hotel

No traditional English Breakfast available at this Hotel, however across the road is the Babbacombe Bay Cafe that do an excellent Traditional Breakfast. Open each day including Sunday at 08,30 am.

Had a lovely warm welcome from the staff and a fabulous large room with a view over Babbacombe Bay. Very laid back vibe. Wonderful atmosphere and we loved every minute of our stay. The food is very good and plenty of other options to eat out. A few minutes taxi ride into Torquay. We loved this hotel and will definitely be back. Thankyou all so much.

No breakfast. Muffins and cereal bars in the room.would have loved a full English 😋

Staff friendly. Onsite parking. Good location with fantastic views. Large room size with a table and chairs to sit at. Good size bathroom and shower.

Mattress abit too soft for us so trouble sleeping, extra pillows would have been good. Juice and water put in rooms but no way of keeping cold, room is more than big enough for a mini fridge. Although the size of the shower was great the water pressure was not.

The location is very good. The view out of all of the rooms is a sea view which is stunning. The drive into Torquay was only a couple of easy miles. If you like to see stunning sea views and harbours we and i am sure millions of others would welcome stunning Dartmouth and Brixham harbour- they are 3 miles from each other.

For myself and my wife it was perfect. They do not serve breakfast which was ok for us as we don`t like to get up to early on holiday to have breakfast.

Location was fantastic. lovely views. bus just along from the hotel takes you into Torquay seafront. about 15 minutes. great food and staff very friendly.

as a resident I was refused a drink after 10pm (10.15) was told rather abruptly that she had closed the till! very surprised as it was a Friday night! There are other hotels still open but it’s nice to be in your own hotel

The room was excellent! A huge bed and large windows with lovely views over the bay. It was very clean and could be serviced daily if required. Breakfast, muffins, flapjacks and juice were delivered daily and were of a very high standard. We had room 8 which is the largest but the other rooms had great views as well

The stay was excellent. Private entrance to the room. The room and bathroom and bed great lovely sea view. Food and staff very good. Lovely walk in shower.

The water pressure in the shower was appalling just a trickle. And that’s the only thing that would stop us returning.
