The location of our room (76) was amazing. The view was to die for. The room was large with plenty of storage but the shower was a dribble and the bathroom was a bit tired. As was the rest of the hotel. The lift was interesting and terrifying. One of those cage lifts which we were convinced was going to plummet to the ground. (It didn’t)! The staff were fantastic. They couldn’t do enough for us. And the food was good too. The hotel could benefit from an update but I would definitely stay here again.

It’s a little tired. And the beds were a little hard for me. But I do like a soft bed.

The room was spotless and well maintained - just what one wants to see when entering their hotel room. We had a partial sea view but the window wasn't clean enough for us to enjoy it - perhaps salt air? Excellent breakfast - more choice than we could sample.

We found nothing to complain about or criticize. Our stay was sadly too brief to offer any constructive criticism.

We booked a room with a sea view, it was well worth the extra. The Hotel says that it is dog friendly and I can confirm this they even set up a table in the lounge so that we could have our dog with us when we had breakfast or an evening meal from the bar. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Unfortunately we picked a week when schools were having their "Proms" and the Hotel hosted one for 4 nights out of the 6 we booked. This was obviously noisy as we overlooked the function room and garden. However they did finish quite early.

We stay at the Livermead quite often and we always enjoy our visit. The decor in most of the rooms is very dated but the location is great. I really like sitting in the terrace and lounge areas and admiring the view. We've even seen a seal bobbing about in the sea. I think it's worth paying the extra and getting a room with a sea view - the sunsets can be stunning. The food is quite good and the staff are always nice and friendly.

The location looking over the coast was excellent. Also this hotel is dog friendly which is always a bonus. The breakfast was also very good.

The hotel was very warm which made it uncomfortable at times. Also we were originally placed in room number 3 which is downstairs. The window to this room has a massive colour changing floodlight outside which lights the room up like a night club even with the curtains closed. Thankfully we were moved to a room higher up away from the light.

Our room was beautiful. Really large for three adults. The view was magnificent. Plenty of storage for clothes and luggage. The beds were very comfortable. It was lovely to have the use of a terrace. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice. Coffee particularly tasty.

We had huge problems regulating the shower. Being a mixer shower fed up from taps it proved a challenge we could have done without. A nice electric shower or other design would have been much nicer.

Magnificent views from the rear of hotel, the staff are amazingly helpful and always friendly. The food is good quality and reasonably priced, not all rooms are blessed with a panoramic vista but comfortable and well-kept.

Nothing to complain about. One can’t expect something for nothing, prices are fair. It’s Torquay, there will be no wildebeest striding majestically but it’s a great place to stay.

Room would have been easier to navigate had it been wider, bed took up too much room. Breakfast was great, we like the buffet style. View from the back of the hotel cannot be beaten, superb! Overall a great place to stay, attentive staff and excellent access to food and drink during the day.

The road noise took a bit of getting used to at night because of the location of our room. Hot water not hot at peak times. Even so we will still be back next year!!
