Great location just steps from the beach. Lovely sun terrace. The room was bright clean and spacious with very comfortable bed. Full English breakfast was very good and plentiful.

Booked a table in the restaurant well in advance, waited 10 minutes to be seated even though it wasn’t busy. Food was not as described and was pretty poor. Spoke to the waitress who said she would pass our feed back on to the chef. We spoke to the hotel manager the following day upon check, he dealt with our complaint swiftly and professionally. Would definitely return to the hotel but would not eat in the restaurant again.

Pools being open to the public.. They took most of the sun beds the time we were there, which caused friction.. Sadly saw bullying by non residents towards hotel residents for sun beds.. Management called, but clearly let non residents stay on site. Not good!!!..

Good location. Nicer inside than out. It’s got an art deco vibe. Staff were friendly but bar service was slow. Nice gardens. Great view of the sea from the Compass Bar. Breakfast was good but we had to insist to sit where we wanted as the person allocating tables kept trying to make us sit where we didn’t want to. Room was ok clean but a little tired looking.

We liked the heated out door pool,comfortable large bed,and a good breakfast,and excellent staff.

The lifts,only one was working, so that is long queues for each lift,the room safe wasn’t secure.

I felt very welcomed when I arrived at the Grand hotel, the receptionist on duty was most obliging and informative concerning pool and gym facilities together with procedures concerning breakfast and dinner. The food was excellent, obviously breakfast was self-service and there was a varied choice, dinner was well presented and most enjoyable. The hotel staff were courteous and attentive at all times, especially a young member of restaurant staff called Emma held a conversation with me prior to starting work, and she was just as charming when she was serving doing her job

Nothing, everything exceeded expectation. The staff were friendly and courteous, the facilities were great. My room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was perfect. The whole ambience of the Hotel, the bar and restaurant was excellent and made me feel at ease and comfortable during my stay

The outside pool and location of the hotel were fantastic, the outside pool was heated so we could swim even when it was chilly, and the staff were friendly and polite at all times. The view of the sea was great room was great inc shower and bathroom. Breakfast was great and the evening meal was lovely.

Smoking, people were smoking in all the outside areas, and there were no designated smoking areas when we were sat onbthe patio we had people puffing away nextvto us and we had to smell the smoke , also when we arrived at the entrance people smoking at the entrance not a good look.. The hotel needs a bit of investment, just small things like damage to the tiles in the pool, weeds growing on the patio areas. Restaurant requires a lick of paint.

The variety on offer at breakfast and the friendly staff. The two pools! The location was very convenient and the view was good. We liked the decor too and it was nice to have a variety of places to sit and relax, we used the bar, terrace and library. The room was comfortable and quiet too, despite two weddings during our stay.

We would have liked more interesting evening meals, with more choices on offer and more options for vegetarians. We were not told at check in that rooms would be serviced only on request, that would have been nice to know.

Very friendly staff, great facilities and the location isn’t to far to walk approx 25 mins to the main harbour area, pool was great, we didn’t have dinner at the hotel but the breakfast was very good, buffet style but a full English, continental or cereals and pastries all available, we said we’d stay here again.

The pool area needed an attendant to keep it tidy, there were collections of glasses gathering around all day, we had a room facing the see front which was great but on a hot day the room did get stuffy at night, i was told the lower floors don’t get so Stuffy, we had a fan though in the room which was needed and surprisingly with the window open the main road wasn’t that noisy at night.
