The location was perfect. The atmosphere of the pub was really buzzing. The breakfast was excellent the choice and quality could not be faulted. Staff were really helpful with any requests made and freindly.

As a guest checking in communication sent by booking .com sent us to the wrong location. Parking was a challenge as none on site and the staff were a little vague about where to park. The room had no natural light the headboards and light shades needed cleaning. Quite noisy as a pub on the Saturday morning at 7am when the bottles were collected.

The breakfast was amazing. Quite expensive if bought separately (£18+)but as it was included in our booking we didn't have to pay extra for it. Rooms were nice and clean and there was no much noise around. We stayed at the Arch House so we had free parking which is not something they offer if you stay at the Globe Inn. Just to clarify: The Globe Inn is made of two separate buildings, the Globe inn and the Arch House, which are around a 5 min walk apart and conditions are slightly different depending on which building you end up staying at. We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to go back.

The Globe is nicely situated in the leafy Georgian centre of the town. We chose Wells to stay for a brief visit, mainly to visit; Sandringham, Houghton and Holkham Halls and the property was ideally situated for this purpose. Our bedroom was clean, quiet and comfortable , both dinner and breakfast were nicely presented and enjoyable. This was our first visit to Norfolk and we found a warm welcome from the staff, this coupled with finding a very friendly town, left us with an excellent impression of the area during our all too short visit.

The Globe does not have parking for guests but we did manage to find a suitable free space on the street in the Georgian square near the Inn.

Really well appointed hotel with modern rooms. Food was really nice and a good selection for breakfast. Parking was easy to find right outside of the hotel. Nice short walk to the sea front with everything easily accessible.

The only complaint is the temperature of the rooms. We stayed in room 20 and it was ridiculously hot to the point we did not sleep very well. The room only has a tiny window so we had to open the door. The only problem with this is that the room over looks the beer garden and other people walk past the door to access their rooms. We had a fan in the room but this only circulated the hot air and was very noisy. I mentioned the heat issue to the staff on the first morning and the response I received was, ' well its hot, what do you expect'. Not very helpful and this would put me off returning. You either need to invest into an air conditioning unit or put a couple of sky lights in the roof which can be opened.

The Globe is a welcoming hotel situated in the heart of Wells, next to the park. The room we had was comfortable, tidy, clean, spacious and with modern facilities. Despite being above the central seating area it was very quiet in the late evening. The bar meal of fish and chips was excellent, and it was a pleasure to sit out in the June evening and enjoy the convivial atmosphere. The full English breakfast was hearty and of high quality with all the usual trimmings. Importantly, we appreciated the great service during our stay and particularly that of Max, the manager, who took the time to give us some insight into his hotel. It’s clear that a lot of thought, care and attention has gone into making this place very hospitable. We look forward to returning soon.

The coffee machine in the room was complicated to operate.

The room we were given was beautiful and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely with good choices and excellent waiting staff. We were made to feel very welcome. We hadn't booked dinner and the restaurant was full so I recommend booking a table.

We didn't get the family room I thought I had booked,with the mezzanine, apparently there are 2 family rooms..but no pictures of the second one. I would never have chosen this room, whilst beautiful, there were only skylights( no view) as it was in the roof space. I managed to bang my head 3 times and I'm short!

Location is great, right opposite a small green and a short walk down the high street to the quayside. Very friendly check in at the back of the pub in the dinning room. We booked an evening meal and were pleasantly surprised, food was good and the service was very good. There is a small car park opposite where you get 2 hours free and is not in force on a Sunday.

I was happy with the whole stay, but I can imagine if other residents decide to have a late night on the private terrace its right next to your window. But as mentioned it is a pub, not a hotel.

The rooms at Arch House are very small and do not compare to the Globe - there are no pictures of the Arch House accommodation on the booking site and so a bit misleading to judge the accommodation on the Globe alone. I also understand that Arch House is an ex residential home and has been converted recently and so there are still a lot of features, fixtures and fittings that appear to have been left behind, hence the different standard to The Globe. That all said, the general manager was very helpful in sorting out things to make our stay more satisfying. The courtyard at Arch House is also pretty with little patio tables outside of each courtyard property and it is a lovely sun trap, so great for having your breakfast drinks, lunch and evening drinks.

The room was very comfortable, albeit a little dark with limited natural light. I slept really well. Check-in was smooth. Staff were friendly & professional, little touches like showing me to the room, fresh milk for the tea/coffee (just come & ask if you need more). Beautiful ethical toiletries. Fabulous breakfast, cooked to order. Perfect central location.

The lack of natural light in the room (nature of the construction, can't be helped). As a barefoot girl, the floor felt a little gritty - but it's entirely possible that was sand I had trekked in from the beach myself. ;) On wet April days the courtyard was quiet, be aware that at the height of summer, it might be less so.

Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff,I'd previously rang with an enquiry which was answered but had mentioned we would be celebrating a special anniversary during our visit,upon arrival we were told a complmentory bottle of prosseco was waiting for us,totally unexpected but greatly appreciated, it's this attention to detail that makes The Globe stand out

Parking a bit hit and miss but we were aware of that when we booked so not really an issue for us,but could be a problem for some with mobility issues
