I love the venue I love the rustic design of the rooms. The beds are comfortable. The staff are really lovely I really love it

The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. The problem is is that there are no blackout curtains and therefore the light coming into the room in the middle of the night is very very bright. I have stayed in two different rooms and both times I had a major issue with the curtains if they would put blackout curtains, this would be a 10 out of 10 place to stay. Every single time a car goes past the window, the entire room lights up. This is not conducive to a good night sleep as it actually is a busy road.

Not having fixed times for breakfast was a very refreshing change. One morning we didn't get downstairs till about 10am, no problem, Richard just said let him know when we want breakfast and he'll get it for us. No pressure, love it! Our room was perfectly quirky, not your average boring room style and layout :) During quieter times at the inn it was lovely sitting in the garden chatting to staff and a few other guests, totally chilled.

Could have done with a bedside lamp in our room, a small detail but not a deal breaker, at least for us. We like things being a bit different. The other thing we didn't like was having to leave :)

The wookey hole is in a quaint little village just a couple of minutes walk from the wookey caves, so it’s ideal if you’re going to the caves and you want to stay over the night. We ate at the inn and I wanted to bring the chef home with me!! The steak was cooked to perfection and the desert…chocolate volcano?? Is a must for any chocolate lover!! Karen and her staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome from arrival to departure. We will definitely be visiting again. My husband and myself wanted to book up for New Year’s Eve and have new year celebrations at the wookey hole inn but unfortunately our teenage kids ain’t up for it so we won’t be doing it this year, but we will!! The rooms are massive and so was our en-suite bathroom with a roll top bath.

There was nothing not to like. Welcomed like we were friends,

My partner and I personally did not have the breakfast from downstairs so I cannot comment on that.. however the staff we spoke to when arriving and departing were super lovely and attentive to us for our stay. The hotel itself was amazing, the location is perfect and quiet, and the room was an excellent size and was just right for our weekend get away!!

The prices of the alcohol from the bar downstairs could have been a little cheaper. Knowing that we were staying at the hotel; offering a discount on the drinks we had would have been a nice gesture.

It was such an amazing pub! The room we’ve stayed in was absolutely beautiful, the most spacious room we’ve ever stayed in! There was a queen size bed, a huge bathroom with bath tub, minimalistic decor but absolutely beautiful! The food was also lovely, we’ve had dinner and breakfast. The host lady was super nice and the overall vibe was so relaxing, welcoming and comfortable. And, it was 30 yards away from the entrance to the Wookey Hole! The biggest bonus for us was the quietness that we’ve enjoyed to the fullest, as we come from a busy town environment, it was amazing to be out there in the middle of nowhere and being so quiet, to hear only the bird’s singing.

The Wi-Fi signal was weak upstairs in the room, but that’s not such a big deal. There was no phone signal at all, but I suppose this is due to the remote location and not at all the property’s fault.

I never do reviews but I really feel this is a gem of a hotel. The rooms were perfect for us, had everything needed, very comfortable. The food was out of this world, we had breakfast lunch and dinner! Couldn’t fault it at all. It was delicious. My main plus for me and this is most important was the staff and general vibe. The staff were really friendly and engaging. Completely happy to have us chilling out in the bar all day. The hotel just has such a lovely, friendly feel to it! Hoping to stay again next year after Glastonbury! Thank you very much.

Loved it all.

A really cute little area and a lovely room! I'd happily stay again!

It's above a pub so be ready for some noise if it's a busier night. The blinds in my room didn't keep much light out so the room was fully lit quite early, but that wasn't the end of the world. The also seems to be a tendency for noisy bikes to come through in the morning (at least for the night I was there), but again, not the end of the world!

Located in a lovely village opposite Wookey Hole Caves. You don't feel like you are staying opposite a tourist attraction when inside at all. The rooms are spacious, clean and modern. We were able to take our cockapoo who usually barks at noises and didn't bark once. The bed was comfortable. The food in the Inn, in the evening was delicious, reasonably priced, good section of beer, cider and ale. The staff were attentive and friendly and nothing felt like to much trouble. Good options for breakfast and was very full english tasty! Very kid and dog friendly. We visited Burnham on Sea the following day which was only 30 minutes away. Highly recommend.

The staff were gracious, helpful and friendly to me and my partner. Serving an equsite English Breakfast and handleing everying else, it was like Carry On Abroad (1972), one staff member, many roles; and the Venitian blinds in the bathroom was fixed upon exposing myself to the otherwise peaceful village sitatiated in the centre.

The Venitian Blinds broke and, though fun on a gleeful trip, I suppose the awkwardness of seeing somebody conciously pretend to not have seen you naked as they're sitting in their car outside their house in the middle of Wookey Hole, was reason to ask for maintence, whom also fixed the toilet seat that also broke.e
